Quote:Beam Rifle was never announced as part of Issue 21.Beam rifle was released with the launch of I21. Beam Rifle was a paid-for-all powerset.
Obligatory ParagonWiki link.
Power sets that come as part of an Issue are free-to-VIP, like I said. -
Quote:Castling is what you do with a rook, not a name for the rook. Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CastlingWait, that was supposed to be a castle? It looked like a medieval fort to me. And anyway, Castle picked his name after the meaning of the chess piece I personally know as the "rook," rather than the architectural construct of an actual castle. That's why his namesake has that on his chest when you train with him in Peregrine Island.

Power sets that come with issues will be free-for-VIP, and power sets that are released between issues will be paid-for-all.

Quote:I also recommend Ratpadz.http://www.ratpadz.com
They're currently reworking the site at the moment (should be up on Thursday).
You'd be VERY hard-pressed to destroy one of them. I've had one of their originals (what's the XT now) for roughly a decade. They're tough as hell.
The GS (a cheaper version made from injection-molded plastic) is roughly $15. The XT (which would be preferable) is $25.
Note: The newer ones are a little different than what I have now. The new versions are a bit less slick (but don't warp the way my original did). But if you take a little Pledge to the surface first thing, it's perfect.
However, right now I have a "metal" (coated metal) surface from Allsop. Thing is tough as nails. Can't tell you the crap it's been through and you can't even see a scratch or dent on it. -
Quote:imageIf anyone else knows the answer to my question (above) please feel free to let me know. Don't think Hyper is checking back on this thread. You can click his picture above if you need to see what I was asking about. Thanks!
Mystic Fortune, Secondary Mutation, Sprint, three accolades or maybe nukes, mission teleport or assemble the team?, mission teleport?, Ouro Portal, Pocket D port.
It also looks like he has Corva's icon pack applied since they're all super shiny and color-changed.
Quote:I've seen several of you with the recovery, recharge, etc buff window showing all those stats. Can you tell me how to get this on my screen? I'm unfamiliar with it, but would be interested in having it on a few of my toons.

Right click a line to monitor it. -

Because logging into your game account has nothing to do with logging into your master account.

Make sure you don't have the "free only" option at the bottom of the costume creator selected.
The gaseous aura is unlocked with Costumes > Tailor > Aura Unlock option. -
Quote:All enemies have an inherent mag 1 protection against mezzes. So it still requires two applications, since that in combination with their mag 3 protection through their Resistance power means a total of mag 4 protection vs immob.Well kinda. Controller AOE Immobs are mag 3 + 50% of an additional mag 1. Single Target are Mag 4 + 20% chance of +1.
So an AOE immob should stop half of them, the single target should immob stop them in one, if you're a Controller. The Single Target Domi one should stop them too, but obviously only one at a time (and a lot of Domis skip the single target immob)
Actually if you're solo and Gravity then Dimension Shifting half the spawn is worth a punt. Or using it as a bottle-neck. -
Quote:It says 25% off.According to Today's Featured Items, they are still 50% off...

How about instead, when you boost something it asks you how many you want to use (so you type a number and hit enter to complete the boosting process -- PS, the "hit enter" part is really important, far too many UI dialogs in this game do not utilize the enter key). This way folks can apply ANY number of boosts in one go to an enhancement, which means it'd get far wider use than the option to boost by five.

I don't PVP because the game functions entirely different in there.
I don't PVP because the ratio of jerk:nice is skewed out of balance, even to the point of corrupting people who are nice in PVE into total jerks.
I don't PVP because I don't have the money to spend on top-notch builds so I will never be competitive.
EDIT: I don't PVP because SS+SJ is stupid. -
Quote:Or I suppose you could go browse the 1 page of Paragon Wiki to find the answer...I suppose I could go browse 78 pages of beta threads to find the answer...
Nah, I'll just ask here.

Quote:They have mag 3 immob protection. They actually don't have any RESISTANCE to immob, just PROTECTION. (I hate that the developers conflate the two terms in power descriptions all the time. That's why it says resistance in the wiki; because the game says that.)So yes, they definitely do resist immob (as do Abominations), as well as Smashing damage, so that probably explains why you were having so much difficulty against them on a Grav/Earth Dom. Dunno about the other mezzes not working though, I have to assume that was your imagination running wild after your immobs didn't work.
Thus, it takes two applications of an immob to immobilize the dead guys, instead of one for normal guys. -
Quote:Or you can simply change the way you think about them.Sort of off-topic but I still think the naming of these is completely backwards. Account Items should be shared across an account, Character Items should be tied to a character. Sadly it's way too late to change it now.
Account Items are awarded to an account; every single character gets to obtain that award once.
Character Items are awarded to a character; one character gets to obtain that award once. -
If they have to, make it more expensive the rest of the year by like 100pp. Then they can even advertise a "SALE!" during the Valentine's event. Sales make people excited.

Quote:Just FYI, the intro arc to DA sends you to the folks standing outside the portal during its course. The intro 'arc' doesn't actually send you anywhere near the permanent portal. It sends you to DA through a different "once only" portal that's in a mission map.
Edit: I'm not actually saying the permanent portals are hard to find. They could have big flashing signs with directions to it every 50 feet in every zone and some people still wouldn't be able to find it. Much in the way that people still occasionaly ask for the location of a new contact for the SSA. -

This issue is no longer present (the Launcher has been updated to fix it) and this thread should be de-stickied.
edit: hahahaha. This was supposed to be in the report post box, not a reply box. The nice weather has boggled the brain. -
The game was down!! I demand my $0.37 back!!

Thanks for this thread. It's been quite a while since I tried Aion, and its F2P isn't bad. Looks like they've seriously fixed leveling speed, too.
Had absolutely no issue with Pando attempting to run any time other than when I was actively downloading the game. Absolutely no traffic at any other time, with default settings. -
I've seen it only rarely, usually as a tongue-in-cheek/silly reference to SHOs.

Quote:That sounds familiar! My "as seen on TV" folding table doesn't have a built-in fan, but my laptop runs amazingly cool so I don't really need it.I'm basically sitting on the floor with one of those "as seen on tv" computer tables that has a built-in fan, fold out legs, and an LED goose-neck light.
I move between the floor in front of the couch and sitting on the couch. I get uncomfortable easily due to back and leg pain so I'm changing position a LOT, so getting the laptop and setting up the "hub" was a god-send.
