Is there a list of abbreviations used?
http://paragonwiki.com
Search for the abbreviation and it'll either redirect you to the right thing (like DFB -> Death from Below) or it'll give you a definition page.

I'm not aware of any lists, but I would guess that most are related to newer content. You could always flip through the recent Issues and what was in them, or just ask each time. At least the channels I'm on, its rare for someone to get blasted for asking a question like that. I will say that thinking about for a moment, there are a bunch of newer ones used regularly. :P
Don't I know you???
*double post* :P

(I actually typed acronyms in the search and it redirected.)
Paragon City Search And Rescue
The Mentor Project
In fact, there is one. Paragonwiki has a definitions page that includes a boatload of acronyms.

Edit:
Missing = EAT, VEAT, SHOE
Teams are the number one killer of soloists.
I was looking at that page recently after I gave the link to someone in game and I noticed that a couple of fundamental abbreviations are missing. "AT" is the only one I can recall again. I'm blanking on what else I thought of.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
Black Pebble is my new hero.
Also, if you go to paragonwiki and type an acronym in the search box, it will often redirect to whatever that acronym stands for.

All of these abbreviations and many others are missing from the Definitions Category because they are actually redirect pages, meaning that if you type, say, "AT" into the search bar and hit Enter or click Go, it will redirect you to the Archetypes page.

Goodbye may seem forever
Farewell is like the end
But in my heart's the memory
And there you'll always be
-- The Fox and the Hound
I've seen it only rarely, usually as a tongue-in-cheek/silly reference to SHOs.
