    Test Server Down

Because they're probably still updating the test server to have i17 at all.

That or the patch is downloadable but theres hundreds trying to download at once and you gotta wait in line.

    Big update perhaps.

3gigs of ram is quite enough to play the game, 2 is good but 3 seals the deal
  3. No, it does however stack with the other one from Fury of the Gladiator (the pvpo), for a total of -40% resistance debuff potential if you have the money and a good power to put it in.
  4. Had it for a long time on my Scrapper, in the end it doesn't really make that big of a difference. The most siginifcant portion of it is the +end chance, its basically like a slightly weaker performance shifter, and in a character could add more end gain.

If you already don't have end troubles tho, sell it for lots of cash or save your money, cause you could get more survivability or slot usefulness elsewhere i'd think.
  5. lol @ enzymes in CJ

    thats a bug im guessing?

looks like its giving def its not rly sposed to in mids

    Issue 17

No new IOs or powerset proliferation, darnz.

Oh well at least we get some (hopefully good) content and Ultra mode.
  7. I say they should just get rid of the propelled jump thing and make em like teleports between floating islands

    Issue 17

Wouldnt be able to say since it'd be under NDA, lest you kiss your brief GR closed beta rights goodbye'

    mwahahaha
  9. No server preference. but I'm on Champion incase you want to know.

PM me or reach me @KingofMonkeys

    *EDIT Sold. Disregard this msg
  10. Thats what everyone is REALLY waiting to see...

    amirite?

Anyone else here only care about demons and what they'll look like and what they'll be capable of?

Also for any mod/dev readers, any idea when we'll see the closed/open beta for this?
  11. Its the same thing in some areas of grandville, or alot of redside zones, or for example if you have a HUGE base and zoom out all the way.

Even the mightiest computers won't be getting that perfect 60 fps 100% of the time.

Anyway a 9800 ish is pretty much the low end for Ultra Mode, and GTX 285 (or better) for maxed out Ultra Mode.

Anything inbetween those (and the ATI equivelant) will work Ultra Mode according to Posi, your FPS will probably be determined by how high up the list your card is. And of course assuming your CPU and RAM are already golden.

If I were you I'd seriously consider upgrading that 9500, cause even if it could run Ultra Mode, you're FPS won't be a pretty sight.
  13. Not too mention Kat/ looks cooler.

BS/ looks ok and all, even tho u seem to swing it like a battle axe. I just wish BAB would one day replace that silly looking animation for Disembowel.

(<---- likes BS/ and Kat/ but is just poking harmless fun)
  14. Couple things...

This power listing look ok for a scrapper's ice melee ?
(just what i went with, took some from icy assault and tanker ice melee)

    Frozen fists
    Ice Sword
    Frost
    Build Up
    Frost breath
    Confront
    Ice Sword Circle
    Freezing Touch
    Greater Ice Sword

Cause the mid numbers look terrible for a scrap >.>

I'm wondering if I need to bump the numbers up there, even tho the guide said it'd adjust to AT automatically, the dps and activation numbers are worse than every other set, including MA and Spines (ST)

Any ideas how I could make this more, er, realistic? Cause if balanced this set has nothing going for it (spines does -rech and -spd to lawl)
  15. Yea the "only one shot to get the 1/100 chance that a recipe will actually drop every 5 mins" rep timer thing is just lame.

If they want to prevent farming and wish to make people actually pvp instead of just farm they might want to actually put some effort into the pvpo drop system. And defenitely take a look at the current pvp version 2.0 of course, but thats a discussion for another time.

Perhaps have the system record how long a fight is from first blow to finish, how many powers were used, amount of movement, how little insps/temps or how many were used and or some measure of how hard both combatants faught in a fight, etc. Then have some pvp credit or merits of some kind award based off that, so theres more incentive for active pvp. The more effort put in the sooner you get your reward.

Then you could just get a pvp recipe with credit/merits you've earned through fighting, be less farmeable and the market supply wouldnt suck as much as it does now.

  17. Aka make a modded version of mid's to supprot ice melee scrappers and gimme for testing purposes or maybe just explain what i'd need to do here as far as AT dmg modifiers and where i gotta go inside mid's to do x and y.

Gonna try to make a theoretical Ice melee/Shield build for a friend.

    Thanks
  18. i17 content description was a bit too vague to get excited about honestly,

New badges? missions? costumes? Well some screenshots or a brief description of those would be nice. Especially the Dopplegangers or w/e.

Hell there isn't even a "picture" for i17: Dark Mirror on the game updates page like they usually release with the announcement of a new issue. Maybe that'll come when we actually find out some of the stuff mentioned above?

    Hope we see more soon.

Nevertheless, Matt did post this list of video cards that should be able to handle the job pretty well. You might want to take a look at it if you're in the planning stages of an upgrade.
Extremely good chance Ram/CPU requirements will not go up, if not by much, ultra mode will put strain on ur GPU so u just need a really good GPU to run it well.
(nvidia GTX 285/295, ATI 5750, 5950, 5970 for best fps im guessing)

It's kinda funny all the talk about ultra mode lately has been "Can this video card run it? Will this card run it? Oh that card will defenitely run it". But I'm more concerned with how well it will run. Any proud 60fpsers arent gonna be at 60fps anymore heh.
  20. While your at it please bug Nvidia to get on the physx problems revolving around 64bit windows 7 and release newer drivers that dont crash CoH.

'kinda sux having to go back to older drivers so CoH doesnt crash at random
  21. Definitely.

Those Dmg procs bring it's (still slightly bugged) damage output up from laughable to nearly on par with fire imps, especially if it's spreading the -res proc around.
  22. While no purples means no fun, i guess you could do with something like this, albeit it won't be nearly as good as it could be with purples/pvpos, this version of my dom's build shouldnt kill ur wallet neearrrly as much:

  23. Character: Malnourished Old Man (Necro/Poison)
His diseases manifest into physical form, and rather than killing him, they don't affect him and he uses them maliciously. He especially enjoys using noxious gas to make people toss cookies cause hes quite an evil old man.

    Zombies
    Parkinsons
    Alzheimers
    Multisclerosis

    Grave Knights
    Diabetes
    Arthritis

    Tuberculosis (The Lich)

Osteoperosis (The Ghost, lacks bone marrow)
  24. Wuigly Squigly

    Flytrap

Get it and slot it with procs, including the -res one and it goes from skippable to decently useful. Usefulness aside its still just a fun pet to have and look at.
