Necktie used as a headband?
Poseur! -
Now, see, if it were up to me, and I had the artistic talent, I'd match each Avenger with one of Gaga's iconic looks and maybe have them fire off their powers in a blend of the 'look' with their real power; or, I'd team them up in a dance routine that becomes a fight, and thus, a Bad Romance.

2 people apparently don't like fun.
Thumbs up if you have a computer! -
NYTimes again showcases actors doing their thing ahead of a big awards show.
And that's when I bought the gun. -
Quote:Because the power in question is flagged to only affect 16 targets according to 'real numbers.'Is the above post from Arbiter Hawk in any way unclear? What part of "the entire league" translates to 16 players on a 12-24 player trial?
Now, I've seen such caps be ignored by the real mechanics and the 'real numbers' are wrong. I've also seen the 'real numbers' be correct and the Devs made a boo boo.
There is:1. what it's supposed to do (Dev intention)
2. what it's reported to do by real numbers (a reporting system created by the devs so players can see the mechanics)
3. and what it actually does (as per player testing... done correctly)
There have been, at times, one one, two, or all three things were not correct.
In this case:1. It's supposed to affect all players and their pets
2. It has a 16 target cap.
3. Who knows? Player testing has been all over the map.

Please report to your queen that she is indeed mightily merciful and beneficent and she has our gratitude.

Out of curiosity, how are the solo-only players doing Incarnate-wise? Everything unlocked yet? +3? T4s yet?

Quiet, all of you.
If you make a fuss, the Devs might give all groups the AI of Scrapyarders who do scatter and ambush correctly. <shudder> -
I just don't understand the YouTube zeitgeist of taking completely unrelated video and soundtrack and putting them together (or, in this case, characters from a movie animated to an unrelated song). I mean, it's a nice video, but any set of characters could have equally fit. Actually, characters from a movie where there were bad romances would have fit. But it's like:
Here's the space dogfight scene from Star Wars with Sound of Music's "Lonely Goatherd."
Here's Buffy and Angel's love scene to the Beatles's "Yellow Submarine."
Here's any scene from Harry Potter to a song picked by the roll of a d100.
I mean, if there was some connection from the visual to the soundtrack, it would make sense. But I just don't get it.
Also, it ticks the heck out of me when I'm searching for the actual unadulterated clip of a video and I get a thousand hits of nonsensically dubbed over visuals. (And don't get me started on all the false hits that come from brain dead 'response videos.')

Quote:Ah, thanks for the explo. He only uses that on his own Olympians. It doesn't affect players at all. And it doesn't heal him, despite both the icon and the short help info it displays.

Tyrant does have a heal... it's a dark heal that when it hits those in melee range, they get hit with a -ToHit and he gets healed.
So, it's actually living characters that are healing him... if it hits at all. Look for the Power of Tartarus debuff icon. -
The problem may be that Notice of the Well, while it has a 5000 foot radius (sphere) and it definitely meant to be zone-wide, only has a target cap of 16. WAI or OOPS?
-
Notice of the Well is a spherical effect with radius of 5,000 feet. It has a 16 target cap.

Quote:Funny you should mention Gone With the Wind: Box office adjusted for inflation. Avengers is #35. For now. These lists really need to be adjusted for inflation or something. Comparing movies today (when tickets cost in the realm of 12-15 bucks a pop) to movies back during the "Gone With the Wind" era (when tickets cost much, much, MUCH less) just isn't valid.

Why, yes. I do indeed hear negativity.

Quote:More shenanigans. Just because they didn't give you what you wanted doesn't mean they didn't consider it. You don't know for a fact what they did and didn't consider it. So called 'point blank' refusals doesn't mean that in turning down your request, they didn't give it due consideration. Here, the devs heard what we said, but they also made clear that they weren't even considering what SOME (not all) of us wanted.
Sorry, you're only going to get the usual suspects to jump on this rabble rousing bandwagon of "the devs are mean because they didn't do it my way" pout party. Those of us who've followed along know better. We've seen the devs in question come back to players several times and adapt along the way. We know they gave due consideration.
In other words: They listened.
There is plenty of stuff the Devs have said 'no' to me about. But I know they listened. -
-
That is why I allow a second or third Tanker on a team.
-
Quote:I'm calling shenanigans on that one. You know perfectly well that that amount of End usage can't be taken on by the vast majority of builds without substantial adjustment. If I recall correctly it was .5 end/second. That's not exactly 'mega' in terms of endurance cost.
Quote:Also, if I recall the thread in beta, many, many people were perfectly fine with reduced power for constant use. It was the devs that decreed that they wanted a 'cooldown' type effect to the power. -

Quote:So... just like these forums, but you can cuss. Well worth the effort.I'm searching for an UNofficial CoX message forum for general discussion of CoX, comic books, superhero RPGs, and so on. It should have a general policy of non-censorship, be relatively clique-free, have an average IQ in the triple digits, and promote a state of reasonable literacy. A scattering of weeaboos. Bronies, and/or furries are acceptable (and probably inevitable), but preferably kept to a dull background roar. If you know of such a place, please send me a private message.
