The Avengers x Bad Romance

Someone pointed this out to me and I haven't been able to stop watching it since. It's almost hypnotic.

If I could draw worth a crap, I'd be hideously tempted to do a COH variant of this.

I just don't understand the YouTube zeitgeist of taking completely unrelated video and soundtrack and putting them together (or, in this case, characters from a movie animated to an unrelated song). I mean, it's a nice video, but any set of characters could have equally fit. Actually, characters from a movie where there were bad romances would have fit. But it's like:

Here's the space dogfight scene from Star Wars with Sound of Music's "Lonely Goatherd."

Here's Buffy and Angel's love scene to the Beatles's "Yellow Submarine."

Here's any scene from Harry Potter to a song picked by the roll of a d100.

I mean, if there was some connection from the visual to the soundtrack, it would make sense. But I just don't get it.

Also, it ticks the heck out of me when I'm searching for the actual unadulterated clip of a video and I get a thousand hits of nonsensically dubbed over visuals. (And don't get me started on all the false hits that come from brain dead 'response videos.')

Look, I'll laugh at absurd things. In fact, I love my internet memes. They just rarely get old for me. Fry not sure about stuff still cracks me up, and those Rage comic faces cause a stern guffaw to escape whenever they are present. However, I'm with Zombie Man on this one. At this point, people took the idea of random humor and went for broke. It's so unconected and...just...there. It's...I don't know. Nothing?

Also, I have long hated the irritating videos that I have to wade through to see what I went to Youtube to see. My least favorite being people that actually do show a clip from a show, but replace the music with some less-than-good band they like.

We often speak your name;
There is nothing left to answer,
But your photo in the frame.

The closest connection I can determine is that they are the Avengers and the song has the word "revenge" in it a couple of times.

That said, I do get a little chuckle at the idea of the Avengers doing a dance routine.

Now, see, if it were up to me, and I had the artistic talent, I'd match each Avenger with one of Gaga's iconic looks and maybe have them fire off their powers in a blend of the 'look' with their real power; or, I'd team them up in a dance routine that becomes a fight, and thus, a Bad Romance.

I can see the Hulk and Loki doing a French Apache Dance.

Sounds like something from I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue.

I really should do something about this signature.
