You do seem to be correct about the stealth part. Even at 70 feet stealth, mobs will see me if I aggro. Entropic Aura does not suppress during stealth however, as soon as the green rings of -rech show up, they aggro on me.
-
Part of Fury calculation is how many mobs are around you. The game checks every couple seconds and when it checks it aggro's the mobs checked. Before the EA change, even with Energy Cloak, Super Speed and the Stealth Proc, if I stood in a mob for more than just a second or two, they would aggro.
I will test the stealth on my scrapper, since stealth on a brute means nothing. It is odd how you are sitting at a mob and not aggroing it however, is it a low level mob? -
Interesting, first aggro also has some effect too.
I will have to see if its just a brute thing, I'll try that on my brute and scrapper, see what I find. -
How exactly did you test it?
If it does have a taunt component, it has to be even weaker than Rise to the Challenge, and thus worthless. -
You are wrong, Gospel_NA.
The stealth remains. It is a constant 35 foot stealth that remains constant (same with super speed, which means if you have Energy Cloak and Super speed, you can remain at invisible 70 foot stealth even when fighting). Once aggro has occurred, the mobs don't care what your stealth rating is. You are on their aggro list and they ignore stealth.
Also, Entropic Aura does not currently have a taunt component, just look at the power.

A fire blaster can and has easily pulled aggro off my scrapper. There is no mention of taunt on the brute's Entropic Aura as well. -
Here's a question for yah, does [Burnout] effect Strength of Will and One With the Shield. They aren't effected by global recharge, are they effected by insta-recharge.
-
Energy Aura does NOT have a taunt aura. Not for brutes or scrappers. Whether that is an oversight, or a direct choice will remain to be seen.
I am actually surprised not as many people are up in arms about this I know I am. They said it would, even in the patch notes, but it doesn't. -

If you go for Musculature for more damage, you can keep the 2 hasten slots for perma hasten, and just keep double stacked siphon speed to keep PA perma. -
But you can crap on their to hit value and make them miss a lot.

I never found Golden Delicious Apples to be golden or delicious.

Breath of Fire isn't bad. It isn't great, but it isn't bad either. If you have one power pick and some slots available, it doesn't hurt having a little more AoE. I would pick that last. Right there with Assault. Fun and helpful but not 100% needed.
-
I know on my Fire/SR scrapper. I built for ranged defense since that's most of what you will get hit with. Without elude, I have about 40% ranged defense. With elude it jumps all the way to 50% :/
Outside of a pvp zone I have 115% ranged defense. -
No, just subsequent farms won't have rezzing mobs.
-
Didn't read all the replies... however a month or so ago, there was some one on the Virtue Help channel wondering why Indomitable Will kept toggling off when they got mezzed. After about 30-45 minutes of private tells to this individual, it turned out he thought Rise to the Challenge was Indomitable Will.

I am making my DB/EA brute into a scrapper, and will move him to freedom or virtue to live out the rest of his life in obscurity. I'm also contemplating a Fire/EA scrapper and a katana/WP brute.
-
Well. If you are just planning on farming with the toon, you could just focus on recharge and farm mobs that mainly attack with energy attacks.
If you want an all-around build that can do most things, focus on getting either 32.5% or 45% smashing/lethal defense. -
Not trolling. Sure brutes have the ability to solo an AV, but a scrapper can do it faster. With incarnates today, any toon can solo an AV, that doesn't mean that they can do it well. A toon with as much +dam as a DM/SD has will always do better on a scrapper than a brute. The only difference for a brute compared to a scrapper for a DM/SD is the brute will have 200-300 more HP and a scrapper will have a significantly higher DPS.
-
DM/SD scrapper would be a better choice if you are wanting to actually KILL those hard targets. If you just want to be able to survive the hard targets, roll a tank.
