There's probably dudes hanging around somewhere that you just haven't looked yet. That's in an Arachnos lab map, isn't it? Those things suck for hiding critters. Not to mention a lot of them have geometry holes.
You may be stuck either dropping the mission or petitioning for GM assistance. -
Quote:Ironblade would not have seen the client side mods even if the person did have them.don't forget the option that the person made a couple of client side mods.. .which are against TOS.
You can't hack the game to tell it that Granite doesn't screw with fly. That's not saved on the computer. -
Quote:This is not true. Unless it has other circumstances (timed or badge mish or whatever), you can always drop the first mission.Just so you know you can not drop the first mission of any arc.
However, you usually cannot drop the *LAST* mission of any story arc. Although there are a few exceptions (though at the moment I can't remember names, I dropped the last mission in an arc the other day on my Controller). -

Does inspcombine recognize partial names, like targetcustomnext?
So like
/inspcombine "catch a breath" "enrage"
would be
/inspcombine catch enrage
likewise:
/inspcombine "dramatic improvement" "focused rage"
would be
/inspcombine dramatic focused
All of the insps have a unique string of letters, so if it works it could drastically shorten that bind. -
It may be (probably is) associated with the new "light/dark" toggle on the background.

My issue with this article on Kotaku is that there was no accompanying announcement on the forum that there were tidbits on Kotaku. I had to learn about this article through this thread, which I may have missed entirely since I occasionally go days between visiting the City Life subforum.

Infinity doesn't have a global channels stickie, and apparently my search-fu is diminishing these days. I'm trying to find some active global channels for a friend who's feeling like Infinity isn't busy enough for him. Of course, Infinity wars with Justice for third place, so I have no idea how he feels that way, but whatever.
What are Infinity's most popular global channels these days? Blueside or redside, if there are any channels with faction preference. -
Trial Accounts cannot access Mission Architect directly.
They can join teams that are running MA missions.

1. Copy the contents of your CoH folder to your other computer. This is done usually via burning to DVD (or many CDs). You can do this via network copying too, if you have that; or even over AIM or similar folder-transfer capable IM service.
1a. The important part is the piggs folder. This is the largest part of City's installation. You can skip copying basically any other folder if you want. Don't skip the actual items inside the installation folder itself (like CityOfHeroes.exe and etc).
2. Delete anything labeled "checksum" or "majorpatch" in the folder you copied.
3. Copy the CohUpdater.exe to your desktop.
4. Run the desktop version of the updater. It'll put some extra files necessary to run the updater on your desktop. Don't delete them yet!
5. Tell it to install into the directory where the copied CoH folder exists (if it's installed into C:\Games\City of Heroes, tell it to install into C:\Games...otherwise if you tell it to install into C:\Games\City of Heroes, it will create C:\Games\City of Heroes\City of Heroes)
6. Let it do its thing. It'll checksum. It'll verify. It'll fix anything that got broke in the copying.
7. Delete the desktop version of the updater and all the crap it generated. -
Post in the server subforum. You'll get more bites.

Quote:This is correct. The "I've Heard" part is correct as well. From what I understand, both true and false from what I've heard.
While you will not lose access right away [<- The "I've Heard" part], often something shakes up the database and it forgets that you have (had) a fifty, and it must be reminded by logging in a level 50 character (Hero for Khelds, Villain for SoAs)
A large patch (an issue release or any large patch, really) is what typically resets flags. Not all flags, and not every time. I've also had my Lv50 flag reset after an NCsoft Account Management maintenance. -
One of my friends transferred a char from Virtue to Liberty a couple days ago.

Maybe if you called them you might get help, you might have to jump through different hoops on the phone vs email/help desk. HOWEVER...they are only open Monday through Friday, 12 PM to 5 PM, Central Time Zone. Keep in mind, also, that Monday is Columbus Day and they may not be open.

note that it's a long-distance number, not a free call (unless your phone plan covers long distance) -

Quote:Transference and Dark Consumption are enemy-targeted. You will never gain a Performance Shifter proc from it. It targets the enemy, which procs or does not proc the enhancement; it then spawns a pet which does not inherit the proc, only the standard enhancement values of the actual enhancements slotted.A proc can either affect it's slotted power's caster, or it's target.
Performance shifter is the latter.
If the caster is a target of the power, it can also affect the caster (Transference, Dark Consumption, Recovery Aura, etc) if the caster is being affected the power.
Recovery Aura, Accelerated Metabolism, yes. It can affect the caster. -
Yes, and you can play a villain.
No. No. Yes. Respectively. -
Quote:Subscribe to a forum (inside the "Forum Tools" dropdown above the "Last Post" column). It will then be listed in your USER CP. Bookmark your USER CP and you'll never have to see any forum you don't want to see.The other was the "favorite forums" feature, by which I could set up a sort of LJ-default-view-style pool of the forums I wanted to watch, and so wouldn't have to even bother seeing the ones in which I had no interest listed. It'd be especially handy now that a scad of them are in languages I can't read, but I've spent a while poking around in the config options and if there's a way to replicate it, I've yet to figure out what it is.
You can also subscribe to threads ("Thread Tools" dropdown above the first post in the thread). -
/hc (the Help channel) is server-wide, including both sides (red and blue), but it should be limited to asking for assistance. It's not a team-seeking channel, etc.
/a (Arena channel) is server-wide (not sure if it includes both sides). Be wary in this channel: it's PVPers and they can be nasty.
There is an architect channel that's server wide (again, not sure if it includes both sides), but I don't know what it's called and it's fairly limited in use.
Otherwise, you'll want to get in on a Global Channel for your server. Check out the server subforums at the bottom of the forum listing for posts containing global channel names.
