Defeated foes drawing attention
Good idea! It would not only make the game more realistic, but make it slightly more challenging!
to TO THE END!
Villains are those who dedicate their lives to causing mayhem. Villians are people from the planet Villia!
So, basically, you're going to make them smell bad when they're dead?
Blood Brother Chopper: "Good God! What is that---*gasp* Someone killed Fred!"
While they're at it, when there's a "defeat so-and-so and guards" mission, how about making the guards actually guard the guy it says they're guarding, or at least get really pissed (read, aggroed) when you kill so-and-so. It would make a lot more sense than just having them stand around upstairs, since they would obviously hear their boss threatening/being killed by you.

I've also had quite a few teaming instances where I was the scrapper, brute, blaster RESPONSIBLE for said whole room aggro (sorry about that Cap TF...)
Love the idea like a previous poster said it brings more realism and more a challenge at the same time, both of which I'm all for.
ANYTHING to enhance the enemy AI.

My Night Widow always roleplays dragging the bodies away so that they won't be discovered. She'd never be so careless or sloppy as to leave a body lying around so that a patrol could come along and trip over it...
So if you add a taunt to defeated enemies, at least give us the option of "moving" those enemies so that they don't draw attention, or so that you can group bodies for certain powers. Warshades would enjoy that option.

Also make it so that enemies who are facing AWAY from you cant SEE you...I hate it when that happens.
Line of sight, more sneaking, more intelligent AI, all gets my signed.
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

...we need a stealth power that consists of hiding under a cardboard box.

Yeah, I like the OP's idea. But I think that the AI of all NPC's(especially the friendly ones) can use an overhaul.

I'm not good at giving advice, can I interest you in a sarcastic comment?
@Lyrik
I've never found either realism or challenge to be integral to a good game. If it is a Bill suggested and this is reserved only for the higher difficulty settings, then I cannot argue against it, but I am most decidedly AGAINST making the core, base game any more challenging than it is right now.

Your the only person I have ever seen that doesn't like a challenge in game. Most people love challenges and it's exactly why said people play games.

If I wanted to be challenged I'd take up some difficult but ultimately rewarding hobby, like blacksmithing or sculpture. Since the only reward for playing a game is fun, and constantly getting my face isn't any, I'm not particularly enamored of the "MOAR CHALLENGE!" crowd. Quite often they end up ruining an excellent game for others with their constant cries that it's not hard enough.
Anyway, the way Bill framed his suggestion, you can still enjoy your h4rdk0r3 7hr1llz without annoying the rest of us, simply by leaving the lower difficulty levels alone and adding this (which is not, inherently, a bad idea - rare for this forum) to the higher ones. So relax.

I don't view games as a sport, nor do I play them to be challenged or to win. I play games to have fun, and oftentimes that involves being overpowered and not meeting too much challenge most of the time. In fact, I enjoy replaying good games a second and third time a lot more than I enjoy the original playthrough, because I then know the game and know how to avoid or solve the most challenging problems.

I would love for it to be a new difficulty option. It always bugged me how people would be dead, and patrols would just walk past and go "Hey look, somebody killed kenny. Oh well, back to making sure nobody infiltrated our secret base!"
I would also like an option to keep dead bodies on the map, instead of them just vanishing. Maybe have a slider similar to the particle limits one to set how many bodies before the first one disappears. (sorry to derail, but were all talking about bodies, and that just popped into my head. =P)

And I also never stated that I wanted them to mess with other difficulty settings so chill.
This just popped into mind, after seeing one of the Wyvern blithely walk by the bodies of two of his defeated comrades.
As an option (higher difficulty settings, or a distinct on/off selection,) have defeated foes give off a (minor) taunt aura. Not enough to overwhelm a tank's taunt, but enough to get someone walking by to stop and start looking around for "who did this?" Even a taunt "pulse" would work.
(It's either that or an AI upgrade to actually make them curious as to why Fred there is taking a nap in the middle of the floor.)
Note this would only take effect on *defeated* enemies. A regular ranged pull would have no extra chance of causing group aggro (unless, of course, you one-shot the guy.)
