Kheldarn Is Totally Trying Every Nerve

Now, it says that I can't have more than five lines in my signature. I can't even add FOUR lines of text to my signature without it telling me I have exceeded the 5 line limit. Yet, I see people with 5 lines of text AND a f***** picture in their signature. What the f*** am I doing wrong? Or is it a conspiracy against me?

I decided to use this opprotunity to do what I'd been wanting to do for a while but could never hope to afford to do, which is have my heroes and villains being on their own separate servers. I had three villains on Protector and two heroes on Guardian, so I did a trade. Now Protector is my hero-exclusive server and Guardian is my villain-exclusive server.

I always knew there was a reason why Recluse-san was so awesome.

Its very easy to fail. All you need is to not have enough damage, debuffs, damage protection, and time. And people in the zone who don't know how to stop attacking Lord Winter when he is phased and go for the Guardians. That was my fate the first two times I tried it on Test and the first time I did it live. But then I got with a group of about twenty other players, and by then everybody knew the drill. Our field general ran a tight ship that time and we decimated Lord Winter with 6:30 to spare.
The next time after THAT however, we cut it uncomfortably close. We had the same amount of heroes, but not the buffs and debuffs as the last time. So I busted out a Shivan at the beginning, who went on to repeatedly get knocked on his butt. Didn't die, but he didn't do much. Then we had the people who simply didn't get that you had to pull off of LW and go for the Guardians when LW phases, despite people screaming on broadcast that they had to pull off of LW and go for the Guardians. Managed to whittle him down to 25% with 3:30 to go, and finish the last Guardian quickly with 2:30 to go. Polished off LW with a cool 7 seconds to our name. -

Congrats on being one of the people who escaped my undying wrath. Welcome to adulthood. Good luck.

Yeah, Early's one of them thar Canucks. But she's a cool Canadian, she's from Ontario. Which, IG, you should know sits right next door to us Michiganders.
As for the game...

I only have one character in mind for the big switcheroo right now. Her name is Sturmwolke (German for Stormcloud), an Elec/SR brute. Her reason for going rogue is the fact that the gang she used to run with are now either all dead or in prison, and she has come to see that the life she leads now is doomed. She is frightened by the prospect of either dying or going to prison for the rest of her life without having contributed a single thing memorable to the world, so she "wakes up" and decides to turn her life around.

I use walk whenever I'm in a non-mission indoor setting, such as an enhancement store or Wentworth's. It just looks classier than running about like a child. I also use it when I'm hosting a costume contest. Walking makes it easier to tour the line of contestants without overshooting past them and having to double back and look like a spaz.

Actually, Win 7 is the new and improved version of the Vista plot. Only this time, it will actually work the way he intended without random system crashes, endless permissions checks, viruses slipping through security holes, incompatibility with various software, and so on.
But City of Heroes is by no means a Nemesis plot -
I have but two 50's to mention.
Pink Lioness was my very first character, and remains my #1 character. I got her to 50 last December and have been playing her still a whole year later. Her story is that she was once a famous mixed martial artist who gave up her career to become a superhero after her sister, a detective, was nearly killed by the Hellions in a gunfight. Obviously she's moved far past the Hellions and has become the founder and leader of Lion Fang, my Supergroup on Protector. Her powersets are Martial Arts and Super Reflexes, a combo that I have found to be one of the most potent in the game (but maybe I speak from bias).
My second 50 is Youma Sachiko, who is actually about my tenth or eleventh toon. I got her to 50 last summer. She's a Katana/Regen scrapper. Her story is that she and her husband were attacked by the Circle of Thorns in Steel Canyon. During the attack, the spirits of Sachiko's ancestors, who were samurai, merged with her and gave her the power to fight back against the CoT. "Youma" means "ghost" in Japanese, so basically her name is Ghost Sachiko, because of her merging with her ancestors' spirits. -
Actually, Jon Stewart is a Nemesis automaton who is disguised as a somewhat funny satirical talk show host. His mission is to get high ranking government officials onto his show and secretly implant them with mind-controlling microchips so that Nemesis can force them to do his bidding.
But the Jay Leno Show is definitely not a Nemesis plot. -
This would be the letter from one of my alts, Oversear...
Hello.
My name is Melissa-Keiran Bloom, but I am better known as Oversear, The Champion of the Flame. Ever since I discovered that I was one of the few born with the power to control the flame, I have felt compelled to put my ability to the use of good. I learned to control my powers and eventually became what you all call a superhero.
Into my adulthood and well into my career as a hero, I was tapped to take on a mission. This mission involved my traveling to an alternate version of Earth. I was to find and neutralize a threat from this dimension that was posing a threat to my own dimension. I succeeded in my task, but remained in this dimension when I saw that it was much more in need of my help than my own home world.
And now, this dimension has reached a greater crisis than I could have ever imagined. I have once again been tapped to partake in a mission that would take me to another dimension. Only this time, I would not have the option of returning.
As a woman who has strove to do the right thing for my fellow man, I did not flinch at Hero 1's proposal. I am not thrilled at what fate awaits me, but I am even less thrilled by the prospect of the destruction of mankind.
All that I wish is that if we are successful, please do not allow us to be forgotten. Please honor our sacrifice and our lives.
Yours truly
Melissa-Keiran Bloom

Most of my characters have bios, some of them being brief and some being epic. I usually never write the bio upon their creation though. I like to play with them for a little while to get a feel for who they are and what they do, then I'll be able to envision their back story. I almost never create a character with a back story in mind. I just whip up the toon and let my imagination take over after the fact.

There's no way in hell my main character, Pink Lioness, would have gone. She would figure that she's much more useful on Earth and alive than stranded in the Rikti homeworld. She's quite arrogant for a hero mind you, and had Hero 1 approached her with the proposal to join the Omega Team, she would have told him to find a rusty pipe and do naughty things to himself with it.
One of my alts named Oversear would have been the first in line though. Her story is that she is already a superhero from another dimension who came to our own dimension to sort out a problem that was effecting her homeworld, so she's not a stranger to dimension-hopping. Plus she's a hero's hero and always strives to do the right thing, regardless of what it costs her personally. -
Me personally, it doesn't feel like I'm leveling new toons any faster than I did before I16. But then again, it was never necessarily slow to go from 1 to 20 anyway, so I guess no harm no foul.

Over the course of 15 months I have paid for 15 months to play the game (I'm including December because my subscription is due every 2nd of the month); I've purchased the Magic booster; purchased the jetpack booster on two occasions; purchased two name changes; and purchased two respecs. So I've sunk around $280 into this game so far. Will be $290 because I intend on getting the Martial Arts booster.
Edit: And it was worth every penny. I love this game, and even though I've slowed down as far as playing it, I will never cancel my subscription as long as I can help it. This game has a place in my heart, and I don't say that about many games. -
I like the idea a lot, but...Think of all the players who would want to register a hero/villain, and the odds of their hero/villain being chosen at random. I'm concerned about the butthurt that would come when peoples' hero/vill never gets chosen for an incursion or safeguard, or even if their seems to be a noticable bias toward selecting certain players' characters. All I'm saying is, this type of thing could lead to a lot of bruised egos and subsequent tension amongst the player base.

Read the ones on the website, yet to read the ones on the here. Still though, very moving (and it's pretty hard to move me).
