Slotted it in superjump and combat attributes show 20% recharge protection even when sj not on, but I noticed today that when I activated sj a little icon flashed on in the powers/buff display near the hp bar. Unfortunately I noticed it just as I changed to combat jump and I have not been able to get it back.

Can someone confirm this is an always on power?
Recommendation on where I should slot it?
And explain just what it does? -I was hoping for move protection as well as recharge protection, eg vs cold attacking marksman and ppd glue attacks.

Is there something else that would protect vs slow movement (do not know why it bothers me so much)? Just general status protection or something more specific?

How much time and energy have I wasted getting 5 for my toons that seem more affected by slow downs...?
Yes, it's 20% Resistance to both Speed and Recharge Debuffs.

Yes, the appearance of the icon is wonky and not to be trusted.

Yes, it's always on once slotted unless you exemplar more than three levels under the level of the enhancement.

It works by reducing the amount of -Recharge or -Speed by 20%. It is not status protection, just resistance.

If you have Fly, put it there, since Fly doesn't need a Fly enhancement to hit the flightspeed cap. Otherwise, burn a enhancement slot and put it into any old travel power you have in order to carry it.

You get complete protection from slow debuffs and immob mezzing by taking Teleport, which isn't affected by such things.

Geas of the Kind Ones is an excellent remedy for being hit with -Recharge.
  2. I have suggested in the past a booster pack: "Super Sidekicked."

What this would do is set your Vet Rewards to the release date of CoH and thus you can get all the Vet Rewards.

It would add all the in-game goodies from the out-of-print Collector's Editions (the most wanted be the Prestige Sprint/Slide power).

It would add a badge for each missed anniversary badge, maybe something like a History badge: "1st Anniversary History -- you have heard all about the first anniversary celebration from you mentors".

This would put late-to-the-game players on an equal par with Vets in regard to Vet Rewards, purchasable goodies, and number of badges... for a price.

Real vets would have the real Anniversary Badge rather than the historical version in order to set them apart, but the badge count would be equal.

    News Flash:
    Nothing has changed.

    Oh good... cuz they didn't.
Yes. It has changed. Many centuries ago. If you're supposedly a Scorpio because the Sun was in 'the house' of Scorpio when you were born then you're living one big lie, cause the Sun was actually, in reality, somewhere else.

If astrologers had simply kept up on astronomical observations over the centuries, this wouldn't be an issue for them. But what they're saying about the sun being 'in' certain constellations is simply not factual anymore, let alone the dubious nature of what that 'means' in regard to horoscopic divination.

  6. If you want Necro to do damage, you put your Knights (tier 2) into melee. And you let the zombies run around throwing toxic puke cones. Slot them for damage.

    Period.

The Lich is a controller. All the other pets and you will die before the Lich does. Slot it for -tohit. And when you get to 47, the Hami-O Mezzers.

  9. Well, the original zodiac and the pseudo-religious horoscopes that developed from it began from astrological observation.

That astrological observation wasn't that exact to begin with, and because of precession, the observed solar movement against the stars has changed over time.

But the zodiacal horoscopes did not upgrade their astrological information and are clearly out of sync with the current reality they purport to be based on. Which is not a surprise to anyone with... you know... intelligence.

The real problem is the number of unintelligent people who still 'believe' in horoscopes. As if two babies born in the same place and the same time are fated to have the same personalities and parallel experiences all their lives because of the influence of the sun and stars passing through specific constellation of stars purported to have a 'meaning' because they vaguely look like stuff, such as a lion or fish.

But, these are the same people who believe in UFOs, government conspiracies, and a right to unlimited and perfect government services without having to pay for it in taxes.
  10. Really... the made-up pronouns hearken back to the 80's. I haven't seen them attempted to be used by anyone for 20 years.

I though the OP was using German pronouns.

I agree the English language needs some genderless pronouns.

Indeed. "Singular they" is perfectly standard English except amongst those stuck in 18th Century Latinist Prescriptivism, which is unfortunately what elementary school grammar teachers teach as the norm because... who the heck knows why people with a college education can't recognize that these rules are antiquated.

But you can end a sentence with a preposition, split an infinitive, begin a sentence with a conjunction (cf. this sentence), and use 'they' as a gender-indeterminate singular pronoun. Searches of English usage show these are all *common* and have been part of the language for centuries. That makes them *standard English*, despite the protests of people promoting rules for no reason except that they were taught those rules by people who had no reason except they were taught those rules and so on and so on until you get to some idiot who decided that the grammar of Latin needed to be imposed on English to make it proper.

But a purge of non-played unfavorable arcs would make searching for the farms easier.

Of course, I'd simply make a script to find all the MA arcs where a significant number of people hit the Ticket cap in a ridiculously short period of time and give those arcs a closer scrutiny... and purge the other dross, too.

Maybe they'd change their mind if someone added let's say, 257 Trial Accounts, or 1,000 of them and it broke their database.

Maybe they should purge all the arcs that haven't been played in two years and also have a rating below 3.

I still can't believe they are rebooting, rather than just forging ahead.

NOBODY CARES ABOUT SPIDER-MAN'S FOURTH YEAR.

It's the principle for all franchises now and fuels the reboot-mania.

But where this REALLY comes in handy is on CONE attacks. Because not only is the RANGE extended, but the AREA at the base of the cone (the part far away from you) is also extended...

For most cones, the 40 foot LONG cone is 40 feet wide at the end. But extending it 20% means that your now 48 foot long cone is 48 feet WIDE at the end. 60 becomes 72! THAT is a HUGE difference - makes it much easier to 'line up' cones.

As for your comments about math, that's too bad - Math is Power. You'd do well to dive in and learn more about math, but I understand if you're not wired that way... actually, that's a lie. I loves me mah math.
    Did you take Trigonometry?

Do you know the angle of the cone?

We don't have daily maintenance anymore.

Nor do event starts and stops have to accompany sever downtime anymore. Events can be scheduled to happen while the servers are up. Like a flip of a switch.

That being said, they do sometimes schedule events to start and end with server maintenance as a matter of convenience on their end. Also, I've seen events stop at the very strike of Midnight (presents stop spawning) and some drag on for days past the scheduled end as if someone forgot to flip the switch.

I sometimes think they like to keep events going a little longer for other time zones and for people to finish up what they were doing. I sometimes think the scheduled end doesn't click in and they have to wait for someone to come in the morning and issue the stoppage command.

    Fix Praetoria

You could form a Praetorian 'sewers team' and enter it at level one in Nova Praetoria and not see the light of day til you come out level 20 in Neutropolis.
  21. The -Regen has a noticeable effect against an AV fight, especially when paired with the stacking of the -Regen in Twilight Grasp, which should be spammed in an AV fight even if no one needs to be healed.
  22. You will be effectively fighting at level 51 versus all the level 50 foes in the traditional level 50 TFs!

The last Master of... badge I need is Barracuda. I've decided to wait until I can gather a team that's all effectively 51.
  23. Needs more ball-throwing and more blood.
