Hmm, there's a minimum-wage, getting-into-the-industry, intern-job from hell.

Go through the AE and tag all the farms for removal. For each submission, there should be a checklist of "what makes this a farm?", and if it meets those criteria, out it goes.

(If I weren't already gainfully employed, I would happily apply for that job. Maybe I can submit my unemployed husband for it...)

It's pretty easy to figure out how many arcs have been created. The number is almost 500,000 now. Just look at the ID# of the newest arc and subtract 999 (since they started the numbers at 1,000) To find out how many arcs are actually live, click on the last page of arcs and multiply by 20.

OHH you don't want to open THAT can of worms... And, by the way, farms are usually 5 starred and get a lot of plays...

But a purge of non-played unfavorable arcs would make searching for the farms easier.

Of course, I'd simply make a script to find all the MA arcs where a significant number of people hit the Ticket cap in a ridiculously short period of time and give those arcs a closer scrutiny... and purge the other dross, too.

I'd go more for having unfixed errors in the arc preventing it from being played (60 days)

Simply because we've had so many changes that old, inactive arcs are going to tend to HAVE those errors, at least from what I've seen - invalid maps, character changes, item changes, etc.

When they find one, send an email (and/or admin tell) to the account. Give them 30 days to fix/remove it. If it isn't either fixed or removed, it gets auto-removed.

Farms *seem* to get removed, as it is. At least the ones that are caught. The broken ones - well, would fall into the above, possibly.

Having played many hundreds of arcs and started several times that number only to quit when I found out it was a farm, "test" arc or just something almost no effort went into I'd estimate the actual playable arc percentage to be around 20%.

Of an interesting note, one such arc is somewhere on page 4 or 5. It's sort of locked itself in at that star rating and you can't play it to rate it (up or down, since it may be decent) and there's been no response from the author through tells.
