You think? Does not look right to me, but I could be wrong.

I have a buddy who works in the film industry. If I could catch up with him, he might know.
  4. Does anybody recognize the blonde at :20? She looks so familiar it's killing me. I'm sure she's a Whedonite from Buffy or Angel or something but I cannot for the life of me remember her name.

There are an infinite number of versions of us, each with a *memory* of experiencing time *up to that point* but that memory is itself a construct. We would be like images in a flipbook, each one convinced it is experiencing time flowing, each one trapped on a single page, no two connected by anything in particular except for being in the same book.
This is what happens when you take "Flatland" and extrude it to 4 dimensions. From what I understood from his book "Hyperspace", Kaku agrees with this.

    .... sorry.
I have a FREEM! shirt! I didn't know it was SR, that's even better!

  12. Grats, Turg!

My son (our first) was only about a week early, but had a few seizures right after he was born, so spent about a week in the NICU hooked up to all that jazz (and the blue light for jaundice. I still have his hat and foam rubber shades from that ), so I sympathize with wanting him unhooked from all the machinery.

Glad to hear he's doing well, and your wife and yourself as well.

  13. Who's the girl in the Desdemona costume? Is she a demo doll from a show or something?

Ah, jeez, I did the exact same thing. I had Thunder Kick slotted with one each of ACC, DAM, ENDRDX, RECRED and dropped a fifth slot on it and went, "Oh, you idiot...it can't take any more enhancements!"

So I figured, what the hell, and tried dropping another DAM in the empty slot. The heavens opened up and light shone down

Even better when I finally learned you could COMBINE enhancements! w00t!

    Good times.
  16. Actually, the /targetcustomnext will take a partial string and try to match it so you could use "bal" and get ballistas and "longbow com" and get longbow commanders.

Of course, that won't help with individually named NPCs. I just try to con them from a distance and edit my macro to their name.

    You take that back!
  18. What I don't understand is why this was necessary at all. If maxing damage and defense was causing some people to be able to kill mobs too fast, isn't that explicitly what MARTy was introduced to combat?

Or are we chalking MARTy up in the "phail" column?

Problem 1: Its unclear they even are buttons
Problem 2: The buttons connection to what they do is extremely tenuous, and in particular a new player will have no idea what the connection is.
Problem 3: The descriptions of the buttons say what they button literally does, but doesn't fully explain why you'd want to pick either choice.
Problem 4: The description for Going Rogue says you can leave Praetoria at level 20. Except its not optional.

This is technically the very first choice a player has to make, and its full of problem.
Pretty clear they made all those screens and went back and added the Freedom/Going Rogue buttons as an afterthought. I mean, look at the way they are wedged into the screen.

Pish. The guys doing OUAT just came off a series with a logical conclusion built into it, and still managed to drag it out for six seasons.
