I am still in pain over what they did to Ryuuki, which was my jumping on point into the fandom and remains my favorite series ever. My husband thinks they did a fairly good job, but me = heck no.
Kiva...would be interesting. (thinking back to VR Troopers - wasn't that the one with the haunted house? - but I pray they don't make it that goofy)
Den-O has possibilities (if they hold off on all-out goofiness, again) and Blade. I would hope they wouldn't try Faiz or Kabuto; they're both kinda convoluted, Kabuto moreso.
Oooh, W would be *great*... -
My husband thinks one possibility is early Ranger teams get morphed into alien rangers, like what they did with Kakuranger when they brought that footage over. I can't argue with that...

Managed to snag:
British Pound
Minutemaiden
Meson Dixon
Singularity
Empathogen
Kilroy
Shah Mat
Most of these are characters I've been wanting to play for a while but couldn't snag the names I wanted. Meson Dixon is a name a former roommate had that he gave me as a 'moving out' present (can you say Rad corruptor? I sure can), while Kilroy is going to be a reroll of a near-L50 character that makes more sense with the Street Justice powerset once it goes live. Yeah, got to L48 with the MA/WP and just could NOT bring myself to play the original version again.
What name did I really want?
Archon. ARGH I can't believe I forgot that name when I logged in to start saving. -
Octopus Prime. Oh lord, if I wanted to play a squid, and/or had space...that's brill.

People don't usually think tailored suits, casual street clothes...
Ahem. The Question, John Zatara, Starman (Jack), John Constantine, Conner Kent, and others from DC would like to have a word. Mind you, Zatara will be having it from beyond the grave, but... -
Where is this information? I completely missed it.
-
Oh, thank goodness. I was thinking I was the only one with this problem.
Comcast user, with Windows 7 and Firefox. -

I need to catch up - I missed the last episode. God, I love this show.

Oh, this could be *fun*.
*gets her fighting music playlist prepped* -
Peering around - doesn't look like I got them yet....

ahhhhgh, they added a beep? WHY?
I can't be the only one who separates out League and Team chat into its own tab. I'm assuming not, given how spammy league can get -
Run the BAF about 10 times now, but I've only been on one failure, and that was my first. Lambda only once, but that's because I'm still studying that map and haven't made time to run it again. Succeeded on it, too, though that was a close one.
I haven't used the LFG to get into a raid. Heard too much about that to know to avoid it - and experience with the WoW version has made me violently allergic to it for raiding.
Every raid I've been in has started in RWZ - just go and hang out in front of Lady Grey and you'll see "league starting!" offers either in Broadcast or the server's TF channels. (Virtue here. Never noticed one start in Pocket D, but people have said they're there too).
And always, ALWAYS, the League leader has gone through the tactics they want to use before starting. It'd be a disaster otherwise if we didn't know 'door or chokepoints?' or 'are we pulling to the tennis court?' in the BAF. For the Lambda, our leader linked the map he was using, which was a great help, and gave us a couple of minutes to study it. -
I was finding lowbie teams and TF groups all weekend just by existing - it wasn't that empty. I will admit it was kind of quiet Sunday morning, but hey, Easter. It picked up early afternoon.

I would suggest Until Death Do Us Part, an awesome little shonen manga.
What does a blind swordfighting protagonist do when he has a girl run up to him and ask him to protect her until death do them part? Flip out and kill lots of folks, with the help of his techy friend who's built him high tech sunglasses to help him see! Throw in a shady past, a pack of operatives with lots and lots of weaponry, yakuza, and every assassin in four countries that's between jobs, and that's when you look up from your copy and see the sun set three hours ago.
I normally don't read fighty manga, but holy god, this has such a compelling story. It's modern-day chanbara-tastic!
TVtropes said it best: " What we have here is, essentially, a blind Batman with a katana. This couldn't be not awesome if it tried." -
Quote:That's not what I'm getting from what he said. IMHO, the average player with a 50 who's going to seriously be all over the Incarnate system has invested enough time in their character to want to continue with it. They know their character, how it works, and its limits. You forgot Answer C: Play a character that is naturally a good soloist, which is at least 50% of the reason some people can solo stuff and others can't. Yes, those powers and numbers DO mean something. I can solo this mission with some characters and not others. Does that mean I'm a good player sometimes and should quit playing others until I can satisfy your challenge?
So when I looked in that final room on my scrapper and saw the setup, I went "Hmm. That's a lot of mobs. But those two right *there* are my goal. Can my character do this? Based on what I know about my character, how she runs, how she plays, and what I know about Rikti and so on...can I do this?"
That answer came very quickly - YES. The next question was 'okay, if I can do it, HOW do I do it?" Enter tactics.
On Radical Girl, iMaid, and Accelle, the question will be the same, but the approach will be different.
I'll have to mind pets on the first two...but Accelle, being kin/eng MAY have to team despite tactics. Honoree's Total Focus will probably do me in unless I can stay in motion. I may have a few temp powers that'll help though. I'll ask around for advice after dying a few times, see what other people have come up with, or I'll team.
Dunno, yet, but that's okay! If I can't solo it with her, that doesn't mean diddly about my ability to play, or that I utterly suck. -
One kill all ITF and I had my Spiritual Common for my scrapper. 8 shards - enough to craft the other two required pieces. No need to go with Vanguard merits at all.
I dunno how long it's going to take to get the uncommon. -
Quote:Amen. Did a kill all ITF last night. Got just enough shards to craft my common.I did 2 tfs last night. Kill all ITF and kill all LGTF. I got a ton of shards doing this. The thing is we are so rushed to speed thru stuff and never take the time to stop and smell the roses. This is why folks arent getting stuff. Even with a non-aoe heavy team it goes pretty fast. Total time in all of this with both TFs was like 3 hours for 20 shards not to mention vanguard merits.
-
I went spiritual. Broadsword can use all the recharge it can get.
-
Soloed it on my baby, Androktasia. EBs only - AVs are not my style.
Had a major WTF when Tassie died vs Trapdoor. o_0 Finally dragged him out into the hall away from his doubles and he went down easily.
Didn't even get close to death on the two bosses in the final mission. Cleared the two nearest portals and then pulled the EBs around the corner one by one. I really should have tried to clear the room after I was done. -
Quote:Totally forgot to mention the ambushes in my list. Those were fun. Will have to remember to deal with those first tonight.Earth/FF controller, non IO'd:
(snipped)
Again, not "IO'd out." Mostly common IOs, a couple partial sets. Low damage powerset combo. You'll have to excuse me if I just *don't* see how people are seeing this as the least bit difficult, barring them jacking their settings up past what they can handle. (Edit: Or, of course, Mastermind pet AI being goofy.)
Didn't end up using *any* inspirations, despite packing some on the way. For *fun,* I aggroed the other portals (which did have quite a few rikti) afterward. Finally had to use insps.
Same here. Androktasia only carries common IOs and a couple of the health uniques. I definitely got *damaged*, enough to seriously reconsider doing something about her resistance (Rarely have problems in PVE, but jeez....gotta love Hon's total focus getting so dang lucky every cycle), so I popped a green and three purples and carried on.
Inspirations are not a bad thing when you need them.
Maybe about 15 minutes tops for both Holtz and Honoree combined. Actually, Trapdoor was harder, died twice on him before someone on my channel advised pulling him out of the room he's in - and he went down like a dress on prom night.
Tonight I'll be doing this with my Illusion/kin and Bots/dark, and if I have time, my kin/eng. If Tassie can survive this quite easily, I know *they* certainly can (The kin/eng will be interesting! Gotta remember to keep my distance). Will be using the same tactic with a few minor tweaks. Of course, the bots will probably throw a monkey wrench in. -
Pretty easy.
Do not go into room.
1. Pull out Blackwand.
2. Take out first portal.
3. Let Rikti at portal chase you around corner back into previous room, wipe floor with them.
4. Repeat with second portal.
5. Sidle to room's edge. Repeat tactic with Holtz, pulling around corner and offing, then with Honoree.
6. Profit!
Now, after hearing my husband swear on his MM when he realized he was still set to AV, I was rather glad I did this on EB...I'm no AV soloer, even on my toughest scrappers. -
Don't forget Peacebringers. Those squids put out hella knockback when they try.
