I joined during the winter event in (2005? 2006?... 2005), so the jingle jet music always makes me kind of nostalgic for the "WOW HOLY COW WOW WHAT'S THAT OMG I DIED REALLY SPECTACULARLY WHAT'S THAT WOW WHERE ARE YOU GUYS OMG MORE BUTTONS TO PUSH CLICK CLICK WOW WHAT'S THAT YOU DIED REALLY SPECTACULARLY HEHE LOOK HOW THIS DEAD DUDE LANDED HEHE" feeling that I had for the first month or so of playing.

... what. City forums aren't a dating service. O.o

Why would my "Global Handle PR Rep" exist cross-server, anyway? They are multi-dimensional journalists and news honkeys and agents? I don't think so. There's an exact-same copy in each dimension? I don't think so.
Why would my Global Handle PR Rep work for close to 120 heroes and villains (and soon to be Praetorians as well)? Wouldn't get enough time to sleep between all the article writing and phone answering and hand waving. Not to mention the really awkward hours when there are 13 heroes and 27 villains waiting in the same waiting room on their appointment with their rep. Really, really big waiting room.
Just... no. It doesn't work, even if you ignore a single agent working with both heroes and villains. -
Run it maximized, which gets rid of the window edges (and the ability to drag them).
Otherwise, no. -
In WoW, it's not something that you can turn on and off. Well, I guess, sort of... it's a supplemental auto-PUG feature built onto the LFG feature that still exists.
You click the "dungeon findier" icon. You select your role [tank/dps/heal] (in City, this may not be necessary; in WoW, it's VERY necessary) and whether you're willing to lead. You select "random dungeon" or you select which dungeon you want to do specifically. This puts you in a queueueueueue. Eventually, you (or your group, if you are in a group) will be placed in a random group.
This is completely ON YOUR ACTIONS, so if you never touch the dungeon finder icon, you never auto-PUG.
ALSO WICKED COOL: If someone is on your ignore list (which works cross-server), you will NEVER group with them, which means if you're teaming, everyone's ignore list filters all the idiots out. Which makes using the ignore feature way, way better than normal. -
The new LFG in WoW is awesome sauce on a stick. By far, my and my boyfriend's experience has been HUGELY weighted on the "you guys rock my socks!" side of things. And the fact that it's cross-server is just candy coating on the awesome sauce.
Boyfriend says 90% good rate, and the bad hasn't been jackasses so much as people bailing when they see which dungeon they're doing (if doing a random dungeon the game chooses for you - for instance, "Oculus" is pretty much always bailed on since it sucks). He hasn't done the "select specific dungeon" thing yet, so no comment on that one but the response would probably be pretty similar.
And you can always put your group back on LFG if one of your members bails, to fill the hole left. Even in the middle of a dungeon.
EDIT: ALSO!! Awesome news I totally forgot about, if you joined a random auto-PUG dungeon (unfortunately does not work if you select a specific dungeon), you can vote out a jackass. Everyone on the team can vote, and if a majority vote a group member out, he's gone. So jackassery is punishable.
EDIT2: Boyfriend has grouped with 44 random people. He can think of *one guy* who didn't say anything or pay attention to directions...but still finished the dungeon, he just blew getting an achievement (sort of a badge) for the group. That's all. -
Quote:This... I have differently slotted sprints:Horrible idea, in my opinion. I have multiple toons with one sprint that they picked because they like the way it looks *AND* a second sprint with a stealth IO slotted. I don't want to automatically 'fade out' whenever I want to run faster.
1 stealth
1 run
1 jump
Cos sometimes that little tiny bit is the difference between turning on the GvE jump or not. -
I think this is far more likely a 'thanks for your patience' for the last week where the transfer tool was completely unavailable.

Quote:If you don't actively click on the "Contribute to this Gallery" thing on the group page, your uploads won't go into the group gallery.Sweet, man. Thanks for setting that up. Did we ever figure out a simple way to keep the content COH related? (Wouldn't want to clutter up the page with all my other junk. )
I don't think you can contribute to a group from the upload page, only after you've uploaded the image to your own gallery first? -
You can't see their actual I.D. window, but you can see their powers, background, etc. from their info window. Right click, select info. Or target them and type
/info
I actually have a bind to do info on my target,
/bind i "info"
so that I can just target someone and hit i and get their information quickly.
(If you /info while you have nothing targeted, you get YOUR OWN info window. Also handy to know!) -
A ranged attack is a ranged attack, no matter where it's shot from, and so is a melee attack always a melee attack, even if you're jousting with it.

Most of the population is not out in the world. City utilizes instancing very heavily, so the game world does not have the hordes of people running around kill-stealing and camping and such that a lot of other games suffer from.
The subscription numbers hover around 130k, give or take 10k, and that is extremely healthy for a fairly 'niche' MMO. -
You have access to those powers. SSK functions the same all the time, like I said in the first place.
-
Quoting myself FTW. OP, please read what I'm quoting. I emphasized it for you and everything!
-
There hasn't been anything said yet, that I know of. IIRC at HeroCon they said they were still working that out.
-
The SSK rules apply at all times, no matter what content you're doing. PVE, PVP, TFs, Ouro, AE, everything.
-
Uhh, no, not quite? The OP wants the devs (web team) to add it, he doesn't want us to tell him why it hasn't been added. It hasn't been added because the devs/web team haven't added it. If the OP wants to know when it'll be added, he needs to PM someone who might know, not ask players, who have no control or knowledge over the addition of information to the official website.
PS, I wasn't rude. -
Player Questions is for players to ask questions, and players to give answers. Asking us why we haven't added Tyrant to the official website is a non-starter.
Therefore, to get your answer, PM a developer or community team member. -

Either your CoHHelper wasn't copied over completely, or your computer doesn't have any registry information about your City installation, which explains all of your issues since that means your computer doesn't think it's installed.

Quote:And those Tsoo bosses do not pay his salary. JLove holds PC costume pieces to *MUCH* higher standards than NPC costume pieces. And he probably thinks the Tsoo bosses' skirts look like ****. (I certainly do.)I keep hearing about how long robes would clip with Martial Arts, yet between them, the Tsoo bosses have all the Martial Arts attacks and they seem to work reasonably well.
edit: PS, no one ever said the Sybil top would clip.
