Quote:Every MMO has a host of little bugs that hardly ever get fixed because they always fall so low on the priority to-do list.I bet this has been done many times, but coming back after 3 years away I was kind of surprised to see some familiar bugs still there. Doesn't NCSoft have some junior / new guy that can hunt these down while the seasoned old guys are doing the fun stuff?
Actually, that's probably your fault for switching monitor sizes.Quote:- Enhancement and Inspiration trays showing on top of each other when you log in;
If you set the windows the way you want it and save the configuration (with /wdwsave or the save window button in the Menu>Options window) then you can recall that setup with /wdwload or the load window button.
Try using /wdwload right now. If the windows don't jump to the default or your previous set up, then, it's likely you've switched monitor sizes.
That sounds like old binds of yours you forgot.Quote:- "run" or "jump" acting like you are holding down the button when you are not;
Use the /showbind <key> on the <key> that's causing it to see what it's bound to.
If you want it to be just run or jump and not autorun or autojump then use these commands:
/bind <key> "+run"
/bind <key> "+jump"
If you use two plus signs, then that is the 'stay on' feature.
Not a bug.Quote:- That Striga mission about "Wolf's Throat", which is impossible to find without the vidiot map pack, because the little yellow arrow takes you to the middle of the swamp, and points underground. Either change the arrow to point to the entrance, or have the contact give the players a hint, like "the entrance is a concrete bunker east of the marker on the map".
Inconvenient and frustrating. But, not a bug. The waypointer has never pointed you to the opening of a tunnel to your destination. It does it for doors, but never tunnels.
There are still some council groups there, but they are indeed hard to find. But again, that's not a 'bug.'Quote:- Or the guy who gives you "defeat 15 council in boomtown" mission. The only council left in boomtown are immediately killed by 5th Column the minute you get within 100 feet of them. It makes it kind of silly when the premise is that the council is out of control and need to be smacked-down a little. Why not change it to "defeat 15 fifth-column in boomtown"??? -
Zombie parades always start out small, but wind up with a big finish.

Quote:Sounds like Windows did an update on its own. And it probably 'updated' you graphics drivers for you.Last night, I left my game running after I finished an ITF to go watch a movie. When I came back my computer was doing a scan disk. After a few times to turn on my computer I had to do a system restore. Ever since then all reflections in the game are not working. Costume pieces like the Clockwork armor look like a giant sheet of shiny metal with no colors. Aura's like the victorian don't even animate. I would greatly appricate some help.
So, download and reinstall the correct graphics driver.
If that doesn't work, try a system restore to before when this event took place. -

Quote:The combined C/D pool is just one, weighted database table. Whether for a drop or a roll at a vendor, there is only one weighted table.I don't think this is correct. I thought the drop tables were amended to make the more useful recipes drop more often.
ParagonWiki says:
"The combined C & D Pool recipes are now also weighted by usefulness. This means recipes from IO Sets which are used more by players (e.g., melee sets or ranged sets) are more likely to drop than recipes from lesser used IO Sets (such as sniper or taunt). "
This is specifically referring to drops and NOT random rolls.
Dev confirmed. To me.
Player tested at the time confirms it, too. -
Even before Hover's base speed was buffed, it would have been way too fast for Walk.
The "simple" solution (standard code rant applies here) is to allow Walk to be on at the same time as any flight power, but, it makes the flight power operate as Walk's speed.
And with Power Pool Customization coming maybe at some point, we can then have alternate animations for the fly powers such that some of the 'stances' we have can be chosen to work with fly/hover allowing our characters to fly upright.
In the meantime, here's the workaround:
1. Hover or Fly.
2. Hold down the down key to 'hit' the floor which will basically stop you.
3. Use your mouse to tilt forward or backward while holding Down down. That will cause your toon to slowly move forward or backward with ground friction slowing you down.
4. For extra role-play points, get into the Lotus position first.
And to make going downward easy, use this bind:
/bind <key> "++down"
Tapping that <key> while flying will keep you continuously descending. Hitting it again will stop it. -
Quote:Yes. Customer Service will tell you to clear out some space from your inventory and try to reclaim something else (email yourself another recipe, e.g.) and then the Respec Recipe will come back from Limbo.I had my first ever Respec recipe drop on a new alt yesterday. I emailed it to my global with no issues. When I went to claim it on my main, his recipe inventory was full which I did not realize.
I hit claim on the email attachment and got the "inventory full" prompt. However, the recipe disappeared from the email attachment also! I made room in my recipe inventory after, closed and reopened both that and my email, and nothing. It has completely disappeared.
I just sent in a petition in game explaining what happened, but I'm not sure if they will be able to fix something like this... Has anything similar happened to anyone else? -
Quote:I really didn't notice... but it did look a bit too phallic for the boards so I zapped it.You had to include a picture of a guy with a fuzzy green codpiece? Also... it isn't an entirely traditional codpiece. It's really more of a phallus.
It's called a cassock. It's a black version of the white one the Pope wears. Wearing a sash or cape with it is optionals. Wearing pants underneath it is optional. And he's not wearing a shirt underneath, the top of the cassock is the shirt.Quote:Nitpick: Neo's wearing a coat, over a shirt and pants, in that scene.

It is a plain black version of the house dress:

Wearing pants or leggings or a leotard or bloomers under a dress doesn't make the dress a coat:

Men in dresses were key players in the fall of Communism.

Of course, you might say that's an aberration. In order to show that men do indeed wear dresses, there would have be proof from all cultures throughout all of time.
OK.

Likewise, I don't like the player *name* changing colors for the reason stated: You know who is friend, foe, and teammate with the regular color scheme.
Just make the "HelpMe/Helper" title be colored (and the titles colored with the Vet Reward) but leave the name colors be, please. -
Your level designation is a little off:
- 10 should be 4-25
- 26 should be 20-39
- 41 should be 35+
Here's another list, though, it's not alphabetized. -
They've made mention it's on their to-do list. When it's scheduled to be worked on, we don't know. Of course, they're not going to say much more than that because their attempt at coding it may not work, see: The Vault.

Change the links that aren't tinyurls into tinyurls, including the link to the Wiki.
Remove the two 'the's and the '2.0' as superfluous. Change 'never' to 'not.' Get rid of 'info guides' since the distinction isn't so important.
That should save you about 150 characters, or, three more links.
Or.. I've seen someone with a gif image that had links based on where the cursor was hovered. Don't know if that saves sig space or not. -
Well, if it's to introduce the dev-mentioned low level zone revamps, then it's probably all hero-side. The villain-side zones were not created in the crazy old model of zones-without-a-purpose.

Quote:The farmers have developed an intricate and ingenious coding system to flag their arcs as farms without drawing any suspicion to themselves. To find them, open the search parameters and enter these letters in their exact sequence: farmI would appreciate anyone's help with these two:
1) I have seen the "farms" at +4/8. I have no interest in farming, but I wanted to test my abilities against these farmers. In other words, I would like to see how my toons can or cannot do those same farms at those levels. How do I know the ID number of a farm or two?

And yes, it's actually true.

Quote:If you're talking about the colors in the chat window there are three color customizations:I'm wondering how you apply the chat channel colors that became available with GR? I see that on a new Praetorian character I create that chat channels have special coloring applied to them. I'd like to take that effect and apply it back to all my other characters with the "old" style channels. I went through the options but didn't see how to do this anywhere. Can someone give me a tip on how to apply these changes to existing characters?
1. Turn on colored names. Go to Menu > Options > General Tab > Chat Window Section > Individual Name Colors: turn on.
2. Global channel colors. Left click on the name of a player-made global channel in the chat window and chose set color. A color choice window will pop up. Set hue for top and bottom of the text and it's intensity. {Note: the default channels such as Help, Arena, Request, Broadcast, etc..., can not be re-colored.}
3. Color of window borders: Go to Menu > Options > Graphics Tab > User Interface Options > set color.
When done go into the Menu > Options and look for the buttons to save the chat and window options and click. Once saved, if the settings changed or on a new toon, you can click on load options to bring back the saved settings.
