    TW/FA/Eng Brute

Well your name for the brute is apt. Looks like all you are planning on doing is fire farming? if that is the case, go for Mu or Fire APP, not Energy Mastery. If you are wanting to anything other than fire farming with that brute, I suggest a different build completely.
  2. Please post your data chunk as well. The Data link does not always work.
  3. If IOs had been released along side of ED, then it would have been taken rather well I would bet. With IOs you only brush into ED numbers, while getting a broad spectrum of other things enhanced. (Like I would only have 33% acc slotted with SOs and I'm usually at 50+ with IO sets.)
  4. I am as shocked that CoH actually ended their winter event on time as I would if the government actually finished something on time and under budget.

    Question on EM

It's actually pretty balanced between Smashing and Energy. Barrage, Energy Punch, Bone Smasher and Whirling Hands are all mostly smashing with a minor energy component. TF and ET are 2/3 energy 1/3 smashing.
  6. If I'm paying attention, I will continue combining for break frees on my troller, purples on my scrappers, or if I run low on endurance I will prioritize blues instead. (it really depends on the toon I'm playing and his needs)

I've gotten very good at predicting when the carp is about to fly (picture that XD) since my first main toon was a Spine/Regen scrapper. When I see that something big is going to happen, I will eat a purple or two as well as some oranges. Other than that.. I really usually forget I even have insps.
  7. I'm waiting to make a tankermind until MMs get cold domination :/

(My favorite support set hands down)
  8. Now, will it be able to calculate a chain for my Ill/Cold? :P
  9. Illusion is great.

Ill/Therm is what I would suggest.

    - have a non-aggro confusion power that stacks quickly
    [Deceive]
    - be able to heal disentegrating targets during Keyes
    [Cauterize] [Warmth]
    - have hefty -Regen for big bosses
    [Heat Exhaustion]
    - be a strong counter to the UG bosses' Confusion
    [Thaw] + Clarion
    - have resistance shields for the team
    [Fire Shield][Thermal Shield]
    - be able to off-tank in an emergency
    [Phantom Army]
    - be able to self heal quickly (note: I've found this to be very helpful in general)
    [Warmth] + [Aid Self]
    - be able to self rezz if killed
[Wakie] or [Rise of the Phoenix]
    - do suprisingly decent DPS to bosses once Controllers get automatic Containment bonuses in issue 22
can get around 300-400 dps most likely.
    - be able to resurrect players during MOM (unfortunately not very often)
    [Power of the Phoenix]
    - electively have the ability to make the group invisible (not very useful elsewhere, potentially very useful in lambda and tpn depending on the type of teammates you get)
    [Group Invisibility]

Looks like you have a winner.
  10. You don't really have any panic buttons besides insps. If you get debuffed or take a great big hit... you are kinda stuck. Something I dislike about WP.

    Here is a build.

  11. You are using the wrong sets. You need to focus on typed defense, Touch of Death, Mako's, Oblits are all positional defense sets.

You are wasting slots due to Enhancement Diversification. I'm looking at Kinetic Shield, Dampening Field, Energy Cloak.

Here is what I would do.

  12. blarg. I had a nice long post typed, but hit backspace at the wrong time and my post got deleted.

I would keep Overload, the +HP is wonderful. You are not perma energize or hasten. Try to get more +Recharge. If you drop Overload, you want to focus on +HP as well.

Why are you using Mako's, Oblit and Touch of Death. Those are positional defense sets, not typed defense.

Why are you chasing recovery bonuses, you are an EA scrapper. Tough needs better slotting, slot Damp Field and Energy Protection with 3 Aegis, Reactive Armors in Tough. Put the proc in damp field.

Those are my thoughts. You can always pull with a punch in the face.

  14. Yup, and that's why they are so expensive
  15. Smoke Flash will actually break hide when used, and does not put you in hiden state when used. I don't suggest it really.

You have one too many 9% Acc Bonuses and 1 too many 13.55 HP bonuses.

I suggest dropping 2 LotG from Weave. Also, I would suggest just putting the Perf Shifter Proc in Superior Conditioning. Also, a perf shifter proc in each of physical perfection and stamina.

You are bursting out of your ears with recovery and accuracy. IMO its a little too much. You do want 12 points of KB protection. Don't forget Regen Tissue's proc. A kismet proc will do a lot more than your accuracy bonuses will.

Below is your build with my suggestions.

  16. I haven't fiddled with it. But could I put in ALL my attack powers available, and it pick the best chain? IE. put all of DM's attacks, Smite, Shadow Punch, Shadow Maul, Siphon Life, Midnight Grasp, Ring of Fire and Fireblast, and it pick out that Smite->MG->Smite->Siphon Life is the best chain. Or will it try to make a chain with all the powers given?

    Best Taunt aura?

Took me a while to realize RTC stood for Rise to the Challenge (usually abbreviated RttC). Thought you meant something with Fire Aura. Also... what taunt proc... have I missed something. I did not know there was a taunt proc.

    Question on EM

What would you consider 'Bottom Tier of sets'? Ice Melee? Battle Axe? War Mace? Elec Melee?
  19. A known issue.

I suggest waiting until completely finishing the animation, or fill the combos with brawl.
  20. Do you really think that their hurricane caps the mobs around them's to hit buff?
  21. Yeah, the queue works on averages. If 5 people sit in the queue for five hours, and there are 100 others that start in seconds, it averages out to only a few minutes. :/
  22. Numbers from Storm Elemental Radial Superior Ally

Creates Pet Monsoon Elemental Essence for 5m 0s
    Base Hitpoints: 469.96
    +Resistance
    +O2 Boost

    Effect Area:AoE -- 25.00 ft. radius (16 targets max)
    Attack Types:AoE
-60.00% strength to range on target Ignores buffs and enhancements
    -30.00% to hit on target
5.00% chance for 2.00 magnitude knockback on target
  23. Makes it more fun when there is danger.

Some prefer to use 1 A-Merit for a Gold Roll for recipes... but I prefer the guaranteed sale.
One note: LotG needs 2 Merits. You can at best get 1.5 merits a day. So a LotG will cost you 30 mil on average (tips won't cover it every time, sometimes you will have to buy two A-Merits at 20 mil a pop, sometimes only one). If you sell it at the going rate, which is 100 mil. That will net you 100 mil - the 30 mil you had to spent = 70 mil profit over 1.5 days.

I propose it is better to find a recipe that only takes one merit, but can be sold for 60-80 mil. That will be 20 mil every other day and a free one on the off day (tips). So since every other A-Merit is free, we can average it out to 10 mil a day for a merit. 70 mil - 10 mil is a 60 mil profit over 1 day.

So, over 3 days the LotG route will give you 140 mil. For the other route, you would see a 180 mil profit.

Also: why is this post in the AT and Powers forum?
  25. Will Power tanks NEED to take taunt. Rise to the Challenge just doesn't cut it. An anemic defender can pull aggro off of you.
