The joke wasn't funny, the setup was in bad taste, and I can think of no good reason to use a pdf when it would probably be easier to make and host an image file.

Obviously, I had nothing to do with this, but I'm sorry that anyone felt misled by this. I honestly don't believe that this was the OP's intention (I'm not saying that makes your complaints any less valid, just speaking to intentions).
As for me? I always hover over a thread title to see the thread preview popup and I saw that it was a linked pdf going in and knew it was some sort of joke or something.
Honestly, even just seeing the thread title, I didn't take it seriously. It was canceled and nothing can ever change that. It can be saved, but it will always have been canceled.
Anyway... I am not trying to ruffle any feathers by insinuating no one should get upset or that they're dumb for thinking otherwise... I just don't thin that the OP intended to be mean... and that counts for something.
It might be best if a mod could change the thread title or something, but I don't know if that's going on at all these days.
Let's just not bite off each other's heads as we deal with all of this...
Also... I'm the chosen one and will free us out of Nemesis's plot...
