My concern as well, since I was on a month-to-month sub. I want to have access to all of my alts as long as possible, to archive their stories & looks at least.

I just resubscribed for 14 months a month ago. I don't think there is anything that NCSoft has that I'm willing to take in exchange, not even one of those uber GW II packages that Felicia Day opened on her show.

Didnt it used to tell you the date when you were a VIP until? I checked mine and it said nothing, just VIP status or whatever
I run out on November 2nd.
I guess I don't have to worry about recalibrating my billing date so it falls after the first anymore.

It is likely that subs will be made free. When Tabula Rasa had their server shutdown announced, we got a month or two for free, various weapons announced that were named after prominent players, new emote items, xp boosters, and a huge invasion event for the last day.
Assuming that the devs will still work on new content, then it should be an interesting few months. Of course, with the server coming down, then there is not much point to run Incarnate Trials, get badges, make new characters, or any other content.
The first step in being sane is to admit that you are insane.
I want to run Underground and Magisterium, as I haven't done those yet. I'd like to unlock Hybrid on my oldest character, who at least has t3 in all the other incarnate slots.
There are a lot of things I want to do so my characters are situated in a way that feels right to me.

I just checked my account. It looks like they removed the end date from our subs. Mine was going to run out on Dec 24th and my 2nd account next month on the 18th. Now it doesn't show anything other than VIP and Playable.

Unfortunately, all of the developers were laid off today, and Positron actually expressed some doubt that they would still have working forum access on Monday. It seems unlikely, then, that there will be any similar "last hurrahs" in Paragon.

If you looking at billing summary it gives you more detail. Mine is scheduled to re-up in April. I was a little bummed I might not get that money back. Didn't even think about those about to lose VIP that can't get it back for the end. Hopefully, as some have suggested, all accounts will go VIP towards the end.

Yep, check the billing summary. Mine still says next billing date 17 SEP 2012.

my last bill date was aug 25th about 1 week before the first shutdown notice
my next bill date would have been nov 25th, so i just cancelled my sub
By awful, awful coincidence, tomorrow is my next six-month billing date. They have said all subscriptions end immediately, so I am guessing that I won't be able to pay for another month.
Does this mean that tomorrow I will drop to Premium, and no longer be able to access my VIP content, like all of my characters? I want to at least take screenshots and video before the Battalion destroys Earth.
