'Cause the TARDIS is blue.

It's just a Police Call Box, nothing to see here....

It's just a phone booth. Calm down folks.

They ALL float down here. When you're down here with us, you'll float too!

If everyone is noticing it, that perception filter must be broken. Wait, I'm sorry, I meant 'observation screen'.

NCSoft will be getting no more of my money and my GW2 purchase was halted the day of the announcement. I'm a loyal and very profitable customer. I hope to return to giving them all of my money, should CoH survive.

And by 'fixed', I mean 'stopped breaking'. Slightly.
Well, it can go invisible. At least if River's helping.

Would be funny if the started appearing as mission doors.

Not so much 'helping' as 'not letting him intentionally do it wrong'. The Doctor likes it having quirks. No matter how badly it causes things to go.

"It's not supposed to make that noise. You leave the brakes on."

... as far as new-Who lines go, I like "Shall I repeat the question" more - but that still brings a chuckle.

Its bigger on the inside.

That being said, those police boxes go along with the theme of the...gah...what group in that area...not the watchers...but the lamplighters and such, the very Londonish looking police force and what have you. But the TARDIS is always the first thing I think of when I see one.

There's the one redside tip mission "Stop the Council Parade" (or maybe it was 5th Column) that always has a guard box in Port Oakes as the mission door.

So yeah, why not a police box? There's more precedent!

Not sure if you got it or not, but that was a Dr. Who joke. They tend to make mention of the fact that the TARDIS looks like a police box, but when you step inside its essentially an entire building. So yes, I am all for some of them being mission doors.

The Drudges.

THEM. Thank you, yes. The police boxes fit the feeling of the Drudges and the general area. What with the police outfits and the lamplighters and I think they even talk in that period London style. But I might be misremembering that part. So even though it makes complete sense, I still like to think its a Dr. Who nod.

Edit: Something just occured to me...this is Praetoria. Where a lot of things are reversed. And whats the usual reversal for Blue?

The image of the Blue Police Box is currently under Copyright of the BBC, even though I think the have an open license to the police.

If memory serves me correctly, and if anyone here can verify or prove wrong, that police boxes in SCOTLAND are red.

So as a way of keeping authenticity to the British Isles as well as a lovely homage to certain sci-fi shows, the long standard British Police Box model was used with the Scottish red.

I am unsure, do not quote me, this is just my own personal assumption on the matter.

You heard it here, no one gets Kheldian Sashes. Serge and Icon win and you can expect the fabric I was planing on using for them to be made in to 'Legwarmers for heads."

Well played, Thirty-Seven. I hope you are happy.

The Drudges are modelled on 1950's British Police. Thus, they use (and spawn from) 1950's style Police Boxes.

They are red because, as already mentioned, the blue version is trademaked by the BBC.

I really should do something about this signature.
