In other news, are those images in the first post not loading for anyone else?

(The work fine on the announcement page, just not on the discussion page.)

I will state as I did last week that I would be much more inclined to buy SBOs if you hadn't stopped discounting the individual parts of the sets that are on sale. The convenience factor of being able to pick up a couple of the expensive/rare pieces is outweighed by being forced to pay for an entire set that I won't use.

If I ever go a week without screwing something up on the forum post for the featured items, I'm gonna request a raise.

Luckily for management, that'll probably never happen.

There was an errant quotation mark in the middle of the links, breakz0ring them. All good now!

Hm interesting costume powers! But otherwise pretty uninteresting. I honestly think I'm getting antsy for the super packs XD But oh well, another week

You're consistent. There's a lot to be said for consistency.

...and that's exactly how you put it when you're goin' in for that raise, too

Looks like costume codes are the new vanity pets. At least these use existing resources and presumably aren't taking up much dev time. Still, I come to this game because I like designing my own costumes. This costs more than an entire costume pack, and is so much less versatile. Plus, one of the things that's kept me from playing Stone Armor all these years is that the t9 power hijacks my costume and replaces it with an existing model I didn't make... no way am I about to pay extra to make that happen more.

I haven't been on Beta in weeks; is there an issue with the Cybertech set that's keeping it from going live? Or is it more or less ready at his point and we're just waiting on the release? Because it feels like that one's been there forever.

FUN FACT: That burst of light when you level up is actually the effectiveness escaping from your enhancements all at once.

This.

Especially considering that you can't store them in your base... so, in addition to all the other junk that I don't want (I wish I could set all the insps to auto-delete, but I do realize that some people like those) in my mailbox, I also have several pieces of SBO sets just hanging out hoping I'll have some use for them today because I can't bring myself to destroy something I paid for just to get a different piece or two of that set.

Agreed. I would probably buy up a few Miracle procs, but I don't want the whole set.

The City of Heroes Community is a special one and I will always look fondly on my times arguing, discussing and playing with you all. Thanks and thanks to the developers for a special experience.

I would likely buy several Miracle, Numina, and Performance Shifter procs if the individual parts were on sale. I might even consider buying a couple of the +Heal and the +EndMod from those sets for the convenience of having them level scale for my alts, but I'm just not willing to pay >$2 apiece for enhancements and I won't use 4/6 of the sets.

I'm going to assume the clockwork transform is the base clockwork males without any screenshot available.

This should have been a WarWorks bundle, honestly. I would gladly pay 480 points alone for just an ACU transform or costume headpiece/mask. The regular clockwork faces are simply... unappealing in any fashion.

Why didn't we get the Cybertech costume bundle this week? I've been playing on beta for the past two weeks and IMO it all seems to be working just fine. So either someone found that one damn glitch or bug that needed to be fixed, or there'es a release date already picked for the pack.

I would like the devs to know that ALOT of folks are eagerly waiting for the Cybertech pack....*crosses fingers for next week release*

I think we'll get the new booster packs before Cybertech.

Thinking you guys are going way overboard with how fast you're pouring the "exclusive" costume codes onto the market. At least give the people who -went- to the events and busted their butts to get their hands on the ACTUAL versions something to buy too! Put up some Halloween codes or something!

/e: And add an expiration on these things

Agreed, I would get 2 pieces from the sets I need, and that's it. I don't think I've bought a single sbo since they made the sales "sets only" (I bought a couple sets at an earlier sale, thinking I just might have some use for the whole set...still waiting for that use).

All in all, I suppose I shouldn't complain because whoever made that decision is saving me money .

I know there probably isn't an overwhelming number of people who care about these costume powers but I'm glad the Devs are continuing to offer these in the Paragon Market.

Many of us have very little opportunity to attend the cross-country "meet and greets" where these codes often make their first exclusive appearance. I'm usually willing to spend a few points on them (directly to NCsoft) after other lucky people get the chance to have these for free for a while.

If so, I will definitely be buying at least a dozen procs tonight . At 25%...maybe I'll pick up 3 or 4, but at least a few. Thanks Alpha Wolf! I can actually see a reason for discounting the entire set more than the individuals. I would prefer the 50/33 and 25/15 points to 50/25 and a potential 25/10 though .

[edit: fixed typo that is preserved in quotes. :P]

Individual pieces are not on sale - they are regular price.
EDIT: I misread too, and this is wrong. The individual IOs are on sale, but for a lesser reduction than the full sets.

I have heard - but I have never tested this - that converters work on SBEs. If that is the case, you could buy a full set (at the sale price), and use converters until you have nothing but procs.

However, I must reiterate: The claim that converters work on SBEs is purely hearsay! I strongly recommend that you log into the Test or Beta server to confirm that this actually works before spending cash and finding out it doesn't!
EDIT: If this works, it is still a possible way to get stacks of procs at a cheaper price than individual sales.
