I'm wondering if this should have also been included in the rules:

Anytime Zwillinger posts a meme picture.

Personally, if a) the poster keeps the initial image size reasonable (or better yet, includes a thumbnail that opens to a larger picture in a separate window), and b) the people quoting said picture remove the image from their post and just reference it, then it'd make life much easier.

I was trying to avoid calling out any posters (including mods) by name. The thought did cross my mind to include a rule if Zwill posted his favorite Tommy Lee Jones picture, and to take a second drink if someone else did it.

Signatures were not included in this - that'd be a subsection of the game... maybe an errata. As for out of context quotes, it depends on the situation, I guess.

Further suggestions:

- Whenever someone posts that the devs, including writers, are incompetent, lazy, or bad at their jobs, take a drink.
* Take an additional drink if the poster claims to be able to do the job in question better.
* Take an additional drink if a criticism of the writing is "supported" by a link to tvtropes or similar source.
* Take an additional drink every time someone expresses moral outrage over the writing (referee's discretion).

- Whenever anything is blamed on "marketing" or a developer associated with marketing, take a drink.
* Take an additional drink if the poster uses the term "suits" to refer to the people being criticized.
* Take an additional drink if the thing in question has nothing whatsoever to do with the marketing of the game (e.g., a technical or powers change).

- Whenever a poster suggests that a game feature, such as the aggro cap, should be rolled back, take a drink for every issue that the feature has been gone. Thus, if someone suggests rolling back the i13 PvP changes, take ten drinks. If someone suggests rolling back ED (i6), take seventeen drinks. If someone wants to be able to herd entire zones (i4), take nineteen drinks. If someone goes on about how wonderful the i1 Malta arcs are and how more content should be like them, take twenty two drinks. (This rule is optional, since it may result in huge numbers of drinks per individual post.)

Another thought:

Someone posts an idea for a new power set, followed by someone calling the idea overpowered and a second person calling it underpowered.

  10. Asks "is this character a copyright violation?" or "Is this offensive?"
  11. Insists that they are allowed freedom of speech on a privately owned forum
  12. Doesn't actually ragequit before posting about it
    **Take an additional drink each time they continue to post in said ragequit thread
    **Take an additional drink for each "can I have your stuff" post in said ragequit thread
    **Everyone in the thread drinks if a redname posts "can I have your stuff" in said ragequit thread
  13. Grouses about PvP
  14. Complains about a powerset or combo that is 'unplayable', 'unbalanced', 'overpowered,' 'underpowered', 'nerfed', or other indication that the devs can't do math when calculating powersets
    **Take a second drink when someone with mathematical ability proves the poster wrong
  15. Posts a doom thread right after the quarterly financial announcement from NCsoft
  16. Posts about how an issue loaded with content, QoL changes, and new powersets has "ruined the game"
  17. Posts only to state "FPARN"
  18. Invokes Hitler, fascism, elitism, etc.
  19. Posts "suggestions" (read: demands) in a section other than "Suggestions"
    **Drink a second time if someone subsequently posts a list with links to all other threads on the same topic
    **Drink a third time if any or all of the other threads were started by the same person
  20. Posts complaining that an event is deliberately being scheduled to inconvenience/exclude them
    **Take another drink for complaints that a contest excludes them despite legalities over which the mods have no control
  21. Asks for a name purge
    **Insists the reason for the purge is "there are no good names left"

It is obvious that Dark Respite's goal is to get the entire forum drunks out of it's mind. I believe I will assist.

This post is a slap to the face to me, the entire gaming community, and my dog. I have over thirty veteran badges and have been playing 11 months, I deserve RESPECT.. You, Samuraiko, are the hitler of posters! You are a fascist, elitist tankmage who will DOOM this game. The so-called devs should strike you down where you stand. I deserve compensation for the overwhelming MINUTES I spent reading your post! Your post violates my rights in THE FIRST AMENDMENT somehow. You, like the entirety of all updatesincluding the ones I know nothing about and was not around for, are RUINING this game for ALL of us!

THATs it, I'm DONE! You can take your thread and shove it up your first amendment, I QUIT!

Dude, calm down, calm down. How large do you think my booze budget is!? I lost so many times to this post that I'm going to have to start posting on the Blaster forums soon. I'm at that dangerous stage of intoxication where all of my inhibitions are gone, but I still know how to open spreadsheets... Tread carefully.
