Water Blast - Dehydrate Power
No thank you. On the toons that I have this powerset on, I need the HP much more than I need the endurance.
Let me never fall into the vulgar mistake of dreaming that I am persecuted whenever I am contradicted.

It should do both...
Who do I have to *&^% around here to get more Targeted AoE recipes added?

I strongly feel, and have always felt, that they should add a "water" bar below your endurance. The more water you have the less thirsty you are, etc. With the introduction of water blast it has gone from unconscionable to downright appalling that we have no way of measuring our characters' wetness. The ironically-named dehydrate power is just one more way in which the devs are slapping us in the face.

Unfortunately do to the way the game mechanics work given a choice of hp vs hp/end or end people would choose hp because sucking endurance really does not stop the enemy attacks even when they look dry.
The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

I like the HP mechanic just fine, and would be a lot more interested in a discussion of an optimum 6 slot strategy for the power (anybody got a link to that?) Changes to this power now probably have a % chance of zero, at least for a very long time. That would have been a Beta thing I'm thinking.
As for wetness-dryness and/or thirstyness, that should be added when we get hungeryness and/or fullness-emptyness.
I expect all that will be in the Issue 31 (Fabulous Flavors) release --- where CoX becomes the first game to introduce virtual Fast Food Franchises (vFFF) and starts selling in-game locations to all the big chains as an advertising gimmick for them, and added revenue stream for CoX allowing even more great content for us.

I'm not sure if this have been discussed before or not; But- Wouldn't it made more sense if the Dehydrate Power from Water Blast pool drained the endurance of mobs and recovered ours overtime instead of HP? Where is the creativity of credibility when it comes to a "WATER" power pool? Anyway, just random thought, was bored and posted it here. I would like to see what others think about this?

Hands OFF my Dehydrate heal.
JK, but slightly more seriously, I don't think it makes much more sense to drain/restore endurance with it than to restore health. And it would almost certainly be a less useful power.
Well..maybe less useful in some cases. Ie, a water dark isnt going to miss the heal much, and im sure would like a +end power every 8 seconds.
And of course it makes more sense..water..blue..end mod..blue!

But the tired is more a side-effect of the health loss than the main event.
The City of Heroes Community is a special one and I will always look fondly on my times arguing, discussing and playing with you all. Thanks and thanks to the developers for a special experience.
Does Dehydrate accept Accurate Healing sets? If so, you could slot the Touch of the Nictus proc for a chance for +End to yourself. You still won't drain End from foes, but as was already mentioned, draining NPC's End is pointless unless you can also stop their Recovery.

I think either Health or Endurance drain make sense conceptually. I am happy with the health syphon, it has saved my bacon more than a few times.
Words to the wise aren't necessary- it's the stupid ones that need them.
"You're right...I forgot...being constantly at or the near the damage cap is a big turn off. Definitely not worth it."

LOCAL MAN! The most famous hero of all. There are more newspaper stories about me than anyone else. "Local Man wins Medal of Honor." "Local Man opens Animal Shelter." "Local Man Charged with..." (Um, forget about that one.)

I kinda wish that instead of a 50% better heal, the "Tidal" effect had been an end recovery of some type (+Recovery, EoT, etc.) in addition to its standard HoT. I admittedly didn't think of that until Water Blast was "done" testing though, so I never suggested it.
However not impressed by Water Blast overall performance in term of ST damage or side utility, I was really happy with the heal part. You can fix endurance at somepoint, you cannot always fix hp loss. If it was recovery I would probably had kicked it out my build after I got Transferance for exemple, but the heal really is usefull, even with other ways to heal yourself and of course even more for those without healing tools.
