Discussion: Captain Mako Week Events!

As a bunny of the earth I would like to welcome our cousins, the bunnies of the sea, with open arms.

Seems a bit unfair again on us European players. Victory as always had a strong Euro presence since the game first started and it will mean having to stay up past midnight here in the UK,later in other countries to take part. You've done events before where you have had the event happen twice, one of those times being more European friendly and the other at the times you have announced.
Just be nice to be able to take part at a time which is a bit more sensible for us.

as to the flyier, I was there on freedom when they ran a test, I think that was a part of last min testing of Mako's invasion, run it with the normal troops, then just change them for the real event.
to the cancel of sat events, i understand the frustration of weekend only players.

look at it this way if you are a F2P person, you really almost have no ability ot complain. after all your are getting it free. if you are a VIP then you have almost no ability to complain as they are most likely getting a lot of their money from the F2P with purchases. It is a win win for them.

So the invasion stuff is only on scheduled times?

Please register my grump at having events only a few may attend.

you know what would be cool?

a giant leviathan attack.

and the giant leviathan spawns a bunch of smaller invisible pets that dont die until the giant leviathan dies, with quick recharging spirit shark attacks. think carrion creepers pet, but shark version.

Okay... I am officially freaked out. It's 0651, on double XP weekend... and according to the server status page, everything's down. Which means, an hour into Double XP people can't play!

Whee! What a *fun* way to start Double XP weekend (and therefore Captain Mako week.)


As to stay on recent thread topic... I think that the times are for an actual Dev playing Mako, doing something TRULY dastardly (as only a villain can,) while the rest of the week we'll have an abundance of sharks in all the waterways, that'll attack us and likely eat us, like Jaws.

Mental note to self: Don't take a day off just for DXP weekend. (4.30 pm now server went off around 2pm.... waves small flag!)

The Mako week sounds exciting - looking forward to it.

why not do maintenance early , and stick to the 06:00 PST time ?

Well, it was a bit belated (and I wish I'd seen dev word on that downtime), but it seems like we might be ready to get double XP rolling. Hurrah!

What to work on first? Peacebringer, Warshade... my old villain MM in his 40s... so many choices!

Come on can we not get the pirhanna head and fin pieces in the store?

I missed out on that event last year and wanna get those pieces. It just makes sense they would be on the market during shark week and right after the release of water blast.

Looks like the Virtue invasion got rescheduled? I guess nobody wanted to come in and run it on a weekend. The Captain Mako Appreciation Society and Scrapbooking Club, a five year old Virtue Villain Group, is going to have to cancel its scheduled party since our server event got moved from the 18th to a day none of us can attend.

In as much as you continue to be incapable of contributing anything of value to any conversation, I would prefer that you add me to your ignore list, or at the very least provide me the courtesy of not stalking my posts just to respond dismissively. Thank you.
