Seriously. i24 is the LEAST of my anticipation right now. Also if we could get a hint as to the next T9 VIP set so I can AGONIZE over it not being released every 3 months.

I refuse to consider this official unless you use "Soon™."

We now have the ability to back these up on our YouTube channel, another official channel.

Nothing that's been discussed has broad Marketing Value. It's all very Community centric and really is something that's only interesting to current/former players of the game. When we're closer to beta, we'll release a full Issue 24 overview (I was just talking to Black Pebble about this today).

And here I thought that the Community would be excited about getting news about upcoming changes prior to the actual announcement.

dude, feeding the community with info is like feeding the saarlac pit...that has a tapeworm..we want more..we always want more...

Feeding the community information to appease them is like feeding a school of sharks chum to appease them.

Of course, it's a bit of a paraphrase but it gets across the same point they made in a similar manner as to how they made it.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Their little coffee talk sessions are not official enough to define something as specific as whether 24 will come in-between 23 and 25 or not.
I'm sorry, but you will have to bring forward better evidence if you hope to convince anybody...

I'd ask Arcanaville to explain it to you but I wouldn't wish the resultant headache on anyone.

So that would make all of the discussions of the changes they've announced as coming in I24 (such as this thread) threads that need better evidence?

I have to admit, typing all of this sarcasm without any emoticon indicators is a bit painful...

Still... Whether or not Paragon Studios will choose to adhere to the standard of the number 24 following the number 23 and preceding the number 25 is largely unknown.

I suppose we could take a look at what other elements of the game have followed this trend and attempt to extrapolate whether or not we can expect their Issue numbering system to follow the same guidelines...

When leveling a character, we do attain level 24 after level 23 and directly before level 25...
I've not checked all of the enhancements, but all that I have used seem to follow this same numbering system of 24 being directly in-between 23 and 25.

A full league of 3 teams does come out to 24 players...
However, we can't have a league of 25 players... So, I am not sure what would happen if we were able to add one more player to a 24-player league...

Any other examples?

Moonfire's task force has a minimum level of 23. Citadel's and Ernesto Hess's task forces each have a minimum level of 25. There is no task force with a minimum level of 24. Therefore, there is a precedent in the game for skipping 24 and moving straight from 23 to 25.

FUN FACT: That burst of light when you level up is actually the effectiveness escaping from your enhancements all at once.

Do not judge them too harshly, o Zwillinger. Forgive them, for they know not what they do. (Plus, religion!)

There are however 2 Trials with a minimum level of 24. The Terra Volta Reactor Trial (Jane Hallaway as the contact) and the Tree of Thorns Respecification Trial (Sparcetriel as the contact).

So there is a precedent for Heroes getting one thing with 24 and Villains getting something similar yet different with 24.

Uh....no? The dev chat stuff has been awesome so far.

If, however, you had been talking about the recent Twitter-based announcement, then yes, you would be correct...

Not really. You can lie.

those trials are boring and easy and give you a respec

so one can conclude that issue 24, if there really is one, will be boring, make things too easy, and give you a respec.

Actually I didn't know they planned on fixing the text errors. How extensive is said fix supposed to be? Just the glaringly obvious ones like how Positron is now the grandfather of Ms. Liberty?

Or *gasp* dare I hope that they are pulling a major spell check on the game and fixing it all?

If they do that, I will take up a collection so I can order the largest food basket I can find online and send it to Paragon Studios.

They haven't announced specifically that they are fixing the text errors, but they did call this "Fixing all the things" during the Coffee Talk (why call it a coffee talk, I saw no coffee in evidence).

Since you mentioned other things in the lyrics that haven't been specifically announced for I24 I decided to point out the elephant in the room that you didn't mention, the text errors.

Since they referred to it in that manner, I have to hope that text errors are on the list of "all the things".
