So, it appears there's a new event starting today? It's hard to tell since I apparently cannot find any information on it either from the NCSoft Launcher or the site.

Seems some coordination is in order if an event starts and no information is provided about it. Please, guys...get your Jaegers in a row before doing something like this. My biggest complaint about City as of late is the lack of information and how confusing the game has become. How many economies do we need to manage nowadays? (Hero Merits, Astral Merits, Reward Merits, and Countless-Other-Merits)

The event was running earlier in all zones. Be patient until it starts up again.

If they failed it was for red side, where getting enough people to spawn Nemesis himself is near impossible. If you could pick what alignment power you wanted regardless of alignment than my main (a Dom) wouldnt have to stay villain.

Are there any badges for this event? Or is wiping out Nemesis' army supposed to be its own reward?

It seems to spawn every few hours, I think -on- the hour but I'm not 100% certain. It will then proceed to chain along zones. Th eone I was in had one in Talos, then another in King's Row, Skyway, then Steel Canyon.

it's nothing more than a standard group kill. Get on a team everyone bucnh up, buff, and beat the snot out of anything that comes your way. The spawns come in waves of lesser pleebs, Warhulks and Fake Nemeses bosses, Nemesis? Elite Bosses, until the big man himself shows up as a Giant Monster. There's a badge for taking him down (A Nemesis Plot). Though the event doesn't stop once he's taken down, the waves will start to repeat, though so far it seems like he'll only spawn once.

I do agree a bit though. We got the teaser fiction which made it sound like it was happening Saturday, then Zwill had to clarify it was tuesday, but nothing was announced like what it was for the praetorian invasions.

I'm not complaining about the event at all, just the lack of information about it. Normally with server-wide events such as this, there's a story or a reason it's happening. I'm just complaining that there's no information about the event here or in-game and how disorganized Paragon Studios appears.

They have a graphic ad promoting the event on the home page, but when you click on it, instead of taking you to the information about it, they goofed and linked to Positron's Anniversary Message, which mentions NOTHING about the event.

There was tons of Info about this event over last couple of weeks, Also this Event isn't failing if it's gives people something to do.

It's not the best event out there, that they done, I mean they got alot of plans for us this summer like the Movie Summer Event and Issue 23 is just around the corner. So they got alot of other projects right now and this event is just one of them..

My only issue with this event is that you only get the badge if Nemesis spawns, however to get him to spawn it seems you need two or three groups in the same zone. Makes it hard for low pop servers, especially for those that only play off-peak times. They then compound the problem by having the event in multiple zones at the same time (spreading people between the zones).

As during my normal playing time I'm luckily to see more than half a dozen people on, I actually stay home this morning for a few hours to play. But even then when the event started only six players (that I could see) got involved so no Nemesis and no badge.

I do get to play during prime time most weekends, so for me personally it should not be a issue (as long as everyone isn't sick of the event by this weekend). However, there are many people that don't have that option. One of the players I grouped with this morning was very annoyed about the whole thing as he never gets to play during prime time.

Actually, the biggest "fail" with this IMHO is that, once more, the mobs don't scale correctly. Go ahead and try to face anything with something under level 20. Worse yet, under 10. Invasions popped up twice while I was running some lowbies around.

That nemesis gas? Instant kill (two ticks of 54+ damage... to a character with 100 or so hit points.)

Or how about just trying to attack them? I might as well be using /em dance at them for all the good that does - of course, then five more appear directly around me.

Either scale the blamed things properly, or don't have them appear where lowbies are doing missions. That's called "Annoying" and "Frustrating," not fun.

(Plus, who needs to be bribed to make the anniversary badges global?)

As an event to add color and to mix things up a bit this would be fine, but as an 8 year anniversary event this is an EPIC FAIL, someone truly just phoned this in.

Like the lack of story and back ground, one article a week before that left you hanging waiting for more info, then nothing and still we don’t really know much, like why is the plan called Fallen Thunder and why has Nemesis waited this long for a full scale invasion.

Then there’s my biggest complaint, it’s just a re-skin for the Rikti invasion with less going on, there are no ships flying over head blasting people, there are no bombs being dropped and there are less badges to be earned.

This whole event took some intern 15 minutes in AE to type up a quick story and change the enemy group from Rikti to Nemesis and hit republish.

On one hand, yes, it was a very simple and limited re-skin of the the Rikti Invasion, and not particularly well thought out (IMHO). That gas is just a bit much in a small area for lowbies, but at least we don't have 100,000 stacks of Vengence going on.

On the other hand, I really wasn't expecting anything anyhow. So, anything is better than nothing at all. It's not like they were required to give us an epic song and dance. Honestly, I'd be happy to see a random "OMG! It's a Hellion invasion! It's Helliongeddon!!!" day than nothing at all.

Or just an invasion of Sappers. Thousands of them. Wow, that would be annoying.

Actually, it's more a reskin of the zombie invasion. Rikti has the ships and bombs.

I just hope they make the "A Nemesis Plot" badge account wide after the event is over, at least.

This event has made me realize just how fail most players are. Everyone spams AOEs and incarnate nukes at the nemesis swarms willy-nilly, not cluing into the reason they're league-wiping.

I remember when people actually knew what to do with things like nemesis Lts.

Nowadays it's zerg 100% of the time. Push butan until all dead.

Sad.

I'm afraid this invasion is all my fault. You see, Flaminatrix (my main) recently spent a lot of time foiling Nemesis all over the place for that dude in Founders Falls, and I guess I ticked off ol' Nemmy just a bit.

oh good there is badge for it....

I saw this event....went to kings row....killed the things....it seams faster then they appeared.....i didnt see any othe rplayers there....so i didnt get any giant monster or anything

by the way...
they are not counted as real nemesis toward the other badges

I had a mission for defeating 30 of them where ever i wanted...but these guys didnt count....

seamed a bit wimpy...but i guess you cant get he actual monster unless you have a large team...oh well....

Yes, but because those are "fake" fake Nemesises, the unveiler badge you get for defeating them is also fake. It just happens to be indistinguishable from a real one.

Great! It was so much harder for villains to get the unveiler badge. I only knew one mission that had fakes to run over and over.

I was hoping that at least we would see a new Nemesis enemy or two. Something bigger than the normal enemies and worthy of an invasion event. I have to admit, this is disappointing. I would have preferred just one day of crazy GM/AV spawning to this. Sometimes nothing is better than something.

They didn't count for my costume slot unlock from the tailor in Founders Fall either. Though the fake nemesis did count for the unveiler badge.

When stuff spawns you can see the invaders but not target them for a few seconds, though they can be hit with AoE.

If they spawned properly so you could attack them as soon as the appeared people would likely be more careful with their targetting.
