Tomorrow's weekly tf

I know some of you get the newsletter from CoH. I have checked all the proper boxes, but still don't get it.

Could one of you post it in here or provide a link to it?

Thanks.

Sorry about the title - that's the reason I was looking for the newsletter - don't want to run a tf tonight and find out that I could have had double merits if I had waited 24 hours.

FYI, the WSTs are now highlighted in purple in the LFG queue/tab

Edit:

Saw your edit....I think if you ran an ITF tonight and then the ITF was the WST; you'd still get the extra rewards/etc because of the "week" starts on Tuesdays...

Could be wrong though.

The Weekly Strike Targets are posted in this thread. You can also view the current / next WST on the main page of ParagonWiki (the box on the far right).

I don't think they send out weekly emails saying the current Strike Target.

Edit: Weird, there isn't one listed for this next week... did they forget? Is it secret till tomorrow?
Edit2: Another thread wondering the same thing.

Thanks for the lfg tip, Ion - but that won't tell me what the weekly is tomorrow. I need manticore, but as I said, no point in running it now, if it's the weekly tomorrow.

I did check paragon wiki and the weekly strike target thread under News and Announcements before I posted.

Periodically, they get busy and forget to update the upcoming strike targets. Thus, that's why I'm hoping for a newletter reference.

The newsletter from March 9th says:

April 3 - 9:
Terra Volta, 24-33, from Jane Hallaway in Independence Port; Tree of Thorns, 24-33, from Sparcetriel in the Nerva Archipelago

Found something odd about that and wondering if it's just me?

11: 47 pm CST right now. Logged into my heroes who have a purple highlight bar on *both* Sutter TF *and* the 2nd terravolta trial. If that was done to indicate what is next as of tomorrow, then it's wrong or the newsletter (listing 1st terravolta) is.

Logged in my villains and found the same thing. They have a purple highlighted bar over both the Mort Kal SF and the 2nd treespec trial.

Oh, lord. The bloody Respec trial again. Blue side, that is sooo boring.

And has anyone noticed that the last time that the Lady Grey TF was the WTF was LAST AUGUST? Why hasn't this TF been the WTF since then, since the salvage is needed for many Alpha options?

Think you nailed it with the last half of your last sentence.

The WST was set-up to get the seldom played TFs more action. No need to have it be one that gets routinely run regardless.

That said, isn't Terra Volta a 'trial'? Bah, I haven't bothered with it since Vetspecs were introduced...

I sure can't tell ya, Local Man.

I do know that it hasn't been Positron in a very, very long time either. And, I have, I dunno - maybe 10 toons that are going to get the Geas of the Kind ones accolade as soon as they do the Katie Hannon tf. And, I'm waiting for it to be the weekly. It may not be eligible because it has to be unlocked. <shrug> I notice that Hess hasn't been a weekly either, probably for the same reason.

I'm not sure that's true, since we get favorites like ITF, Apex/Tin Mage, and STF pretty regularly. I see all of those being run more often, even when not the WST, than I see Lady Grey.

Which is too bad, because almost my entire roster of currently active characters need the Watchman accolade. >.>

The double purple for Sutter and the Respec thing has been going for a few days at least. I asked about it in Help chat once and was soundly ignored, so didn't pursue it.

It's been like that all week (meaning both the Terra Volta trial and Sutter have been highlighted in the LFG tab all week long).

Respec again? Every month? Really? Yuck! I just threw up a little in my mouth...

I can see Hess and KHTF not being in the rotation due to the fact that they require unlocks. But, really, do we have to have a respec almost every other week, when there are a slew of other TFs that should be in the rotation? I mean, as has been said, LGTF has been a while, Posi has been ages, and indeed most of the TF Commander series has been the WST comparatively rarely. I have never seen any of the Shadow Shard TFs as the WST (not that I'm too broke over this choice, but once in a great while might be nice rather than a monthly respec). I'd even get behind some of the Ouroborous TFs getting a shot, but I can see why they wouldn't, as these don't require more than one player to run.

But even if they never allow some of these other TFs to ever have a time as the WST, I'd still be in favour of sharply reducing the rate of the respecs in favour of almost any other option.

So tired of the epic boredom of the respec trials.

They've updated the list of WST for April, and what is up with the timing? It looks like they are switching from a Tuesday reset to a Thursday reset schedule with there being one WST that is only available for two days - Positron and Tarikoss on April 12 and 13.

Kinda weird.

You're looking at April 2011, mouse. April 2012 is at the top of the list, although there is a questionable typo there too, namely a couple weeks that last for 8 months.

Is it just me, or do they do Respecs way to often for the WTF.

Seems like every other WTF is a dumb Respec trial >.> and they take so long (blue side).

Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.
I enjoy playing in Mids. I specialize in Melee Characters, other AT's usually bore me.

Heh, thanks. Looks like I'm the April fool this year.

That's probably because there are so many fewer Strike Forces than Task Forces, so to keep things "even" they have to keep recycling the Respec trials.

If they must recycle I'd much rather it be recycling of the Co-Op TFs: Tin Mage, Apex, ITF, LGTF. Heck since Incarnates came out they could have even created another one or two Co-Op TFs. They could have even strung together 5-6 DA missions into a quick Co-Op TF.

The problem is only one of those TF is available to players below level 45, and that one not to players below 35. The Respec Trials at least go down to level 24.
