Me and the roommates will be there! I want in if Hegner or Matt runs a D&D campaign!

(I wonder if I can fit BETRAYAL AT HOUSE ON THE HILL into my carryon luggage...)

This must be why Red_Gren hasn't started any posts about a Friday night Justice dinner this time around.

Either that or it was due to such a low turnout last time.

I'm going with the idea that it's due to Game Night.

Any info on the food selection would be appreciated.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

ChiaoFeng and I will both be arriving in SJC airport around 900p (again), although this time we're renting a car to get to the hotel (rather than making Crayhal run us out and then drive back home to Berzerkly again) and don't anticipate being able to be there for anything until 1000p at the earliest ... and even then, we're going to be flying in from Austin (again) so by the time we get there it's going to be "midnight" central time and we'll probably be pretty zonked. Still, we could be stopping by to catch the end of the festivities ... it just depends on how things pan out at the airport and the highways to get there.

It's the end. But the moment has been prepared for ...

So I should plan to have a real meal before the Game Night starts.

Got it.

Sounds like a lot of fun, unfortunately I don't get in until Saturday morning. Somebody whomp a kobold for me.

P.S.: I know you didn't do it on purpose, but if there is a Fall Summit and you guys are planning something for Friday night, please let those of us flying know there's at least a possibility when you make the Summit announcement.

I am going to TRY to get the D&D session to around 2 hours, so I can run it for 2 different groups.

If we finish and there is no interest in another group, then we can play Hex Hex or WizWar or something.

Dude, the last time I made the mistake of asking Matt about that (which I think was at the first HeroCon when he ran the D&D game), the temperature in the room dropped about forty degrees. *I* was oblivious (admittedly because I was fangirling over Sean Michael Fish), but my husband mentioned it to me later and suggested I try not to stick my foot in my mouth like that again.

DIBS on one session! Can we run the sequel to the previous D&D game? I still have my Sister Solaris character sheet...

I think I'll bring Jungle Speed, though I've almost lost an eye every time I play it.

Speaking of dangerous games, I'd pay good money to see the devs play Johann Sebastian Joust.

It was meant in jest, and I would hope that's how it was taken. Though I will admit, it was a pretty obvious, and therefore lazy, joke.

What's wrong with Hero System?

Granted, I'm more fond of Mutants and Masterminds 2e these days, but Hero System's still pretty good.

It might have something to do with another superhero MMO on the market these days that runs based on a Hero System IP... but I could be way off base.

As for myself, I play Star Hero and said IP Hero on a regular basis (i.e. every 2 weeks, PnP).

And one of these days I will get to play some ongoing M&M 3e.

The some of the ip of the hero system is licensed to a rival hero mmo. Some, as in the hero system ip serves as a 'skin' over the game mechanics which was originally targeted for mar#cough# univ#wheeze# in the rival mmo.
Hence, samuraiko's unfortunate facepalm moment.....

I'd really love to make this game night and the summit, but, so far, it does not look like I will be on the West Coast in April.
I'm hoping to change some things around and make it happen, but it's not looking likely.

Have fun... And... If I do make it... Who's up for an old school 2nd Edition romp? Or even 1st Edition?

I'll definitely be at the game night, and will probably bring a bag full of games for sharing, too.

Hooray!

*brushes away cobwebs from his keyboard*

Uh... yeah THAT"S IT!!! It's not that I've been a slacker this year or anything...

Seeing that they're starting at 6pm, I'm kinda glad I didn't start planning anything. In the past, folks ALWAYS seemed to want to get to the Paragon Studios hosted events as soon as the doors opened & I hate the idea of a rushed dinner. My philosophy behind the dinner get-togethers was to provide a relaxed opportunity to schmooze with folks. I don't think that jives with trying to get to an event that starts at 6pm. Heck if we lunch @Schaub's late enough, we may not even be hungry again! I'm thinking it might be smart to pick up a 2nd sandwich or something!

Also... I've got a nifty anniversary edition of Settlers of Catan I picked up that I'd be happy to haul out! If I dig around, I might also be able to find my copy of Bohnanza, a fun little bean farming card game. Also... I don't know if they'll haul it out, but I hear there's a copy of the evolving-over-play version of Risk at Paragon Studios. I think it'd be kinda cool to give some players an opportunity to have an impact on a game folks at Paragon Studios play on occasion. Failing that... maybe I'll go looking for a copy to donate for that purpose!
