I know, but will the upcoming 50% and Double XP boosters be located at the bottom of the list like the 25% boost, or will they be in the middle of things? I have a LOT of unclaimed things in there.

If I'm mid-fight and notice that my booster has worn off, just how long do I want to take finding the next and getting it going? Before now, I could have the next one sitting in my tray, waiting to go. I liked that.

This might be minor, but another side effect of the XP Booster change is that I would need to leave them in e-mail until they're ready to be used, and I'm somewhat obsessive about keeping an empty in-box. I'm sure I'm in the minority here, a lot of other people won't care, but it will be irritating for me.

/This...

I can't stand the red text...

At least give us the option to turn the full box red text off now.

I don't like your intrusively weird obsession with the idea that the devs are out to 'get' the playerbase.
There is no indication in my feedback that they are out to get the player base. It would seem logical that in raising the maximum reward, the minimum would be raised proportionally as further incentive for the players to play the content more frequently. As it is now, most will play an easy repeating mission once per day for the ten then ignore it.

This is not a 'out to get the players' criticism but a questioning of their logic and consistency criticism.

Most people also tend to desire human contact, so promoting team activities encourages players to have a wider circle of friends and provides more "social inertia," making it more likely that people will stay because the people they know are still playing. Players seem more likely to quit when all their acquaintances drop out, and the smaller your circle of friends, the more likely you are to quit as well.

You may in fact be different. But you're the exception: most people need variety to avoid burnout, and are bound by social interactions.

If you want to do nothing but grind the same thing over and over, you can still do so and reap maximum rewards by making multiple alts and grind the same thing out on each of them in turn. Yes, it will take you more time to accomplish the same thing. But that's the entire point of these exercises: to keep us subscribing.
I would suggest that those who subscribe long term do so because they play the content that they favor most in the game. For some that favored list will be quite long, for others rather short. What I do not approve of is the dev staff trying to force players out of their comfort zones to grind through content they really don't like but with rewards they feel they cannot ignore. I would bet most players stay for the fun over the rewards but when the rewards start taking away from the fun, they lose interest and leave.

I simply refuse to fall into that trap. Since I resubbed in August 2010, I have produced 6 level 50's by playing only that content I enjoy playing. Each character is developed along a custom path that fits within my comfort zone. I don't care how long it takes for each character to develop as long as I am having fun and not being bored or stressed with it.

As for the DA arcs, I did not find them fun to solo at all. Only Heather's arc meets my needs to run it 3x within an hour or so. By tossing that 2x Emp bait out there, for no good reason, they are trying to force me out of my comfort zone to do content that I personally to not find to be compelling. I choose to ignore it. A few will try to do it. And others will get bored with the grind after a couple of weeks and move on.

I just feel they could have conceived of other strategies that reward progressive involvement by the players. Like say, extra threads for doing 'clear alls' within the arcs or two chances for components at the end of every other arc. Strategies like those just seem more like they are more respecting of player comfort zones than the crudely conceived and implemented 'TMG 2x Emp' system they just tossed out there.

Question..
...has anyone else had their "Claim all" button stop working after getting costume pieces with incarnate rewards (from the cantacts in Horoscope)?

Apparently, because the items are intended for level 50s and appear account wide, they prevent "Claim all" from working on toons that are under 50.

On the email interface
would love for it to be fully resizable. Same with the wentworths window.

Beast Mastery
I'm VIP and I'm starting to wonder why.

It seems smarter to us my $15 per month to buy market points to unlock access account wide. As a VIP I only get 400 points per month. I get over 1200 for the same money by purchasing points.

Permanently.

Not to mention I don't get my 400 at the start of a month. Mine come at the end of each subscribed month.

I like the sig arcs...also purchaseable. About the only thing that's not is the ability to create an SG or pay rent...and frankly, after the rev's ignore Basers for so long, I'm wondering why bother?

Yeah, it's a snag. There's a setting in the options menu (under email, I think) that lets you hide unclaimable items in your inbox, like, say, the Ascension set. "Claim all" works fine if you enable that.

FUN FACT: That burst of light when you level up is actually the effectiveness escaping from your enhancements all at once.

had this happen a few times.

dev team, something you should know about my homelife. I have adopted a very neurotic, very spastic, freaks-out-over-anything-and-everything Dachshund. We think at some point he was abused.

I was around a group of these in game beasties and they were barking. alot.

That set off Rusty on one of his fit's where he starts flipping out and just won't calm down until everyone in the household is yelling at him loudly to shutup. Cuddling helps but not much. It's like he flips his lid and goes into convulsions like hiccups, but with the dial at 11.

I have to play with headphones on or the volume off.

This wasn't a problem before, even with the voices on skype or vent he was okay, but this?

Exactly where did this "bark" come from and what on earth does it say in dog speak?

Ignoring anyone is a mistake. You might miss something viral to your cause.

It isn't the barking I mind so much (and it does bother my rl dogs as well) but the more or less constant stream of barking. It's honestly worse than having a demon MM. At least with the demon mastermind I can silence the demon pets with a petsay emote.

It isn't spooky or dark AT ALL. Whoever designed the set gave me the perfect Lovecraftian theme...

....and a cute li'l sunshinie doggie toy for the Umbral Beast, judging by how much it enjoys its idle time.

Got 1 mission from Max, now he will not talk to me. Been blown off twice now from the "support" people. Any ideas how to complete his story arc?

if you did his finale mission first, that is, you didn't bother rescuing any of the other Malta members, then you finished Max and should have a new contact. The other 3 missions he offers are optional

You may have completed his arc. There are 3 "free malta" missions and one raid on the Knives. The three malta related missions can be run in any order or skipped entirely. The raid on the Knives is the only required mission.

If that's the one mission you did then there isn't any more for him to give you. He does stick around in your contact list unless you did all four missions though, which is annoying.

For those concerned, there should be a confirmation window that notifies you that claiming this from your mail will activate the booster. I do understand concerns about changing the way this works, however the fact that you had to search through your mail, claim it, then search through your powers list and drag it to your bar, AND THEN activate it was determined to be a suboptimal user experience.

If you previously claimed boosters, they will still be in your powers and able to be activated in the legacy manner.

Thanks!

... really guys?

The dev team looked at the sequence of events to use character items and concluded the solution was to disable one of the USEFUL features (specifically, the ability to stock up multiple charges)?

This change means if you want to maintain a continuous XP booster during a play session you now have to navigate the character items UI MID PLAY.

Really, you need to fix account/character item interface. The mail paradigm doesn't work, especially with that HORRIFIC UI.

Also you need to fix the temp power interface. That's been horrible since forever, but it's less awful than the character item issue because at least we can make the powers window taller. We can't do that with character item claiming.

He doesn't have an arc. He has four one-off missions (five including Personal Story). Each one is available in Ouroboros.

Not happy about the change with XP boost powers.

And adding, please improve the darn interface for claiming items.

I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.

Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.

So sad to be ending ):

He has a unique "arc" set up - he offers one mission that's the "finale", with 3 optional missions before it - you can choose to run 1, 2 or all 3, or just run the finale - so if you've only got 1 from him, that means that you must have chosen to go straigt to the finale and skip the 3 optional lead-up missions.
All his missions can be found in Ouroboros - they're marked pale blue on the list, as they're so unusal.

So the "Legacy Manner" is still able to work/function in the game,
Why the heck isn't this an Option?
This blows...

Listening in on the Ustream today Zwill chimed in about this and I couldn't possibly have disagreed more.

This change is for 'new players'. Well, I'm hardly a veteran at only half a year's experience with the game. I can tell you right now, it would make me feel much worse opening the e-mail and using it right there and there and realizing that if I didn't do something -right then-, it's wasted.

That is a worse experience than neglecting it in the Powers list. I'm a new player, the last thing I want to do is feel like I've wasted anything that should be beneficial to me. Finding it in the powers list later on when I understand things a bit more is a vastly better experience because even if I can't find it at first, it's still there for me to use when I figure it out.

If I'm -that- new that I have a hard time figuring out the mail UI, then I probably don't understand how to check if the power is active, what it's actually boosting via the detailed info, or the duration. All I know is that I opened a mail and said it was activated, but I don't know what that means. I can either continue on just bumbling my way through learning the game or I can panic and try to take advantage of it while I can because I don't want to waste it.

or worse I'm the new player that doesn't read everything enough and I just claim it and skip past the note, so I activate it and don't know it. Again, I've wasted it.

None of those situations makes me want to deal with this new system. I'm an intelligent person, I want a choice and I don't want that choice to be "Don't claim it yet" because again, there's no way to tell the game to not blink things at me as an alert that I have unclaimed items. I can hide un-claimable items, I can turn off the 'new account items' window, I cannot turn off the e-mail BLINKING AT ME CONSTANTLY.

Frankly I think it's insulting to players' intelligence to rob them of the choice altogether. It just smacks of poor design and tells me that no one actually bothered to ask or discuss the issue with players. It sounds like this was a perceived problem and it was discussed in-house, a solution was agreed upon and everyone nodded along with it.

I'm a newish player and I can tell you right now, don't take choice away from me, don't make me feel like I've wasted it. Both of those are cardinal design sins and it's exactly what this new implementation will do with XP boosters as is.

thinking further about the way XP boosters have been revised, I wonder if this isn't some kind of "backdoor" nerf. Maybe there's a sense amongst the Devs they are too good and too readily available, and so need to be trimmed down a bit, and this is one way to make that happen rather than a blatant reduction in their efficiency.

Pretty much, I agree with the others on the XP Booster change. This has not helped the player experience at all. Complete opposite effect.

I, too, would claim multiples at once, keep them on my tray of temps and click as needed. This change makes it worse.... even with instasort (click twice to reverse alpha order)

The only thing I don't like about this is that I usually run in a duo, and we tested Gabriel through Ouroboros after we had each completed the arc and only the mission leader got credit towards the merits. It might be fun to run the series of DA arcs over the course of a night or two with your buddies, but it's not so much fun running them three or 4 times to ensure that everyone gets the bonus.
