So, the solution to redirect old missions away from old Dark Astoria

is to redirect them to the ECHO of Dark Astoria.

...for pete's sake, really? That is hideously lazy and extremely immersion breaking. They should've redirected everything to one of the actual zones like Talos or even Boomtown or something :P

"The Circle are harassing people in an office building. Go save people! In the Ouroboros recreation of what Dark Astoria used to be like".

What? That makes no sense. That IS really poor.

That's really...

Eco

MArcs:

The Echo, Arc ID 1688 (5mish, easy, drama)
The Audition, Arc ID 221240 (6 mish, complex mech, comedy)
Storming Citadel, Arc ID 379488 (lowbie, 1mish, 10-min timed)

Not only that, but zombies can show up in the Echo version of DA as well. Looks like someone forgot to flip the eligibility switch to "no" there.

And to make things even better.

Echo is accessible from ouroborus, the hero one. Rogues are sent to villain ouroborus and therefore cannot get to echo: dark astoria.
Well thought out there

Found that out yesterday doing Citadel TF. Thankfully they had mission TP so could get there anyway, but poor design.

Wait, why wouldn't zombies show up there?

^this. Especially as Sapphi says Rogues can't get into the Echo unless you're a jammy git like me

The mission mechanics still reads the Echo as Dark Astoria the same as how we refer to Dark Astoria as 'new' DA and the Echo as 'old' DA.

I assume the planning is:
1. we need a fix for the Numina TF for DA
2. well Numina is going to be rewritten sometime in a year starting in 2, so we don't want to do throwaway work now
3. do a quick and easy hack

3a. the hack breaks/renders inaccessible some game content for some players
4. Profit!

The DA hunt is in fact gone from Numina? That's a nice start on revamping it.
So it's really just the door missions from contacts like Citadel that direct you to the echo now?

I ran a Numina last night and we were not sent to DA. There was no BP hunt. rest of the TF was intact.

I also completed the Allison King 'Library of souls' arc (actually pretty fun, especially with the 'reveal' power in oranbega) and was sent to echo: DA for one of the missions; I got there and completed it with no trouble as a vigilante.

I can imagine it being a problem for less informed players as there is no indication from the game where echo: DA is.... I guess that's what the help channel is for.

The most pain this has caused me is simply from a plot perspective, wondering about the time-stream implications of traveling to the past not to change the future but to stop a plot that's taking place in the present.

Otherwise, I figured that the developers simply didn't have the time or resources to rewrite all of the old DA focused missions for i22 and would likely handle it in the future. It is pretty neat that they kept a way to get to legacy DA and Galaxy though. Maybe they should add Atlas Park too?

Well, that and any Rogues on the team being unable to access the echo without a mission teleporter...

Yeah, like Zombie Man said, this sounds like an oversight more than anything. Report it as a bug.

What better place to hide from the law than a specific point in space-time that´s hardly accessible anymore?

I had forgotten that I had a DA mission door when I logged off the night before I22 hit, and when I logged back in, the mission location in the navigation window was "Echo: Dark Astoria." I would guess this problem will be hanging around for a while, at least until all those missions are cleared.

So is it just kill banished pantheon in Talos now? Is BA totally taken out of the TF all together?

Does it really matter? 90% of that TF is hunting down grey cons to waste time. It really needs a revamp.

Totally taken out, only thing you hunt in talos is warriors like always.

on an organized team it takes less than 10 minutes. i would much prefer a revamp of synapse's unreasonably repetitive 'kill all clockwork' missions. That TF is ridiculous. I was SO hoping for him to be the one to die...

Amen to that, synapse is my host hated TF in the game and it's need for the accolade which makes me hate it even more cause I can't ignore it.

Do the zombie invasions happen in the Galaxy Echo too? It seemed weird since everything else is gutted from the echo zones, so I figured that would be as well.

Hmm, I'm posting this not to be argumentative, but just to voice my opinion...
It'd actually make me quite happy to still have missions that direct the player to old Dark Astoria.
And, since these would come at lower levels, it would make sense via the timeline by levels scenario the game roughly (occasionally) attempts to follow.

I'm not sure that this is a horrendous blow to immersion.

However, it could indeed be a mistake.
Certainly the Rogues being blocked from getting there is a mistake/bad-issue.
