Upset over Reward Token Use.
x25 Super Packs is over a $15 dollar value. One token is not worth $15.

And I also would've liked to see x25, I didn't pay attention to the amount on beta. That would've been great for us tier9's...but no. I am massively disappointed with everything(not) in i22 today.

lol according to the devs yes it is. Since you get one per 1200 paragon points

Huh? It said 5x super packs from the moment it appeared on beta. I never "bought" any so I don't know what it actually handed out, but the reward screen always said 5.
The gap between 5 packs and 25 packs is quite large so perhaps rather than being disappointed at the drop to 5 from 25 it would be more constructive to discuss how many packs a token ought to be worth?
For example, there is no way I will surrender one token for a mere 5 packs. I'll spend 400 paragon points before I will spend a token (well I'll probably go for a 12 or 24 pack instead but still there's no way I am buying 5 packs for 1 token).
If they had them out at 25 packs per token, I'd probably drop all but 5 of my tokens on them. Honestly I think 25 for 1 is way too many. At 10 I'd be thinking about it and possibly doing it. At 15 I would probably do it. At 20 or more I'd grab a bunch of them.
total kick to the gut
This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.

yeah, because those tokens are burning a hole in your pocket to be used on all the -other- Tier 9 repeatable rewards.

I agree that 25 packs per token probably won't happen and I doubt that was ever going to happen. If what venombeyond82 was saying about beta was true I'm sure they just set it at 25 temporarily to test the system and encourage beta testers to test a bunch of packs.
I think one could make the case that 5 packs per token might not be enough. 10 packs per token might have been a better compromise. *shrugs*

If we're getting upset about the Reward Toker:Super Packs ratio (which is perfect in my opinion), shouldn't we be even more upset that we can't buy Empyreans for 1 Inf on Live?
@Roderick
It was never 25 packs per token on beta. At least, not that I ever saw. It was always 5. Compared to the point value of the other repeatables, an argument can be made (and I did so during beta) that a token should give more like 8 or 10, but 25 is pretty much out of the question.
It was never 25 on beta. I think perhaps you're crazy.

Wait we get super packs from reward tokens? O_o; Never noticed this. Maybe I have some gifts waiting then.

As a t9 repeatable, yes. It was just added today, you aren't oblivious. It's been on beta for a while, but I don't know if you've been following that, and even if you have, it was easy to miss among all the other flashier stuff.
Ok... So on the Beta, you could get x25 Super Packs for 1 Token. It goes live today, and now it's get x5 for 1 token. Why was this done? I don't get it. I thought x25 for 1 token was fair and just. Considering it's a gamble when you get them, anyway. I know for a fact now, I will be unable to get the Elemental costume set properly.

That is what I recall as well. As to the "crazy" comment, well ...
Now, I did see a bundle in the Paragon Market for a larger amount, but not in the Paragon Rewards window.
Yes, I "bought" some with Reward Tokens for testing, so I know it was only x5.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Um. With Reward Tokens? I don't think so.

Back on Beta, when I first found out about the Super Packs, I spent 4 tokens, and got 100 Packs. Sorry, but it was x25. Talking to an NC Rep, they said they did this for testing only, that it was never ment to be 25 on Live, but that people could quickly get them for Beta testing. I remember it clearly, as does my roommate who was also testing beta, and using them. It WAS 25, sorry, not 5.
Edit: It's very possible it was in the earlier beta builds it was 25x, I haven't been on for the last 3 builds.

That's fine... but it ultimately doesn't matter what values like this were set at on beta while they were TESTING the game. Just because they chose to test something with ridiculous numbers doesn't mean they are required to keep those ridiculous numbers on the live servers.

Only one person suggested you might be crazy. Several questioned the number.
My comment specifically said that when I got them using Reward Tokens that it was x5 and that I had seen them in the Paragon Market for a larger amount. I don't recall the amount I saw there, so I didn't list it.
I didn't look at the Super Packs from Paragon Rewards when they first hit Beta, but it was still early when I redeemed them using Reward Tokens.
I got x5 which matched what Z's post stated so I didn't question it.

I'm aware, and accepting of that now, I'm just defending myself, for the people who are calling me Crazy over said numbers from Beta. 5x is fine, whatever, too tired to keep fighting it, I'll just accept it, since I can't change it. 5x is better than nothing.

We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.
(If you love this game as much as I do, please read that post.)
