Four Legged Rig Ideas!

Yay for the new rig!

PLEASE NO MORE DOGS. there are plenty of other animals with four legs. cats are a nice branch you've started on. [tigers? panthers? cheetahs? something more exciting than a lion? eh? eh? ] but dont forget pachyderms, ungulates and artiodactyls! [although they do walk a little differently.]

Things that would be great:

- With the upcoming dinosaur pack, some DINOSAURS [stegosaurs and triceratops come to mind with the four legged rig, though i'd reccomend styracasaurus and miragaia ] and Mammoths on *Monster Island* cloned by Crey for who knows what.

-a zoo added to a zone with a couple stationary npc animals of interest... or place a couple attack animals in the Carnies villaing group. tigers and... if you must have more dogs... poodles that maul would be nice.

-gryphons, dragons, mythical creatures. use the dog body, give it a new skin, new tail, lizard head/bird head, and tack on some wings, horns maybe. dont need it to fly, just look neat as it follows meh XD

-RIKTI ATTACK ANIMALS

-Devouring Earth four legged critter

-more non canine vanity pets or transform travel powers. [i can has giant spider/tarantula rig transform with jumping nao? please utilize the spider rig more too - with actual spiders. great job in the new DA! ]

-hamsters. with rockets. being launched.

I'm sure more will come with time, but you must remember there's more to it than just the rig. There are animations also. Dogs, cats, rabbits. All have 4 legs but move very differently. I want more than city of heroes and their dogs too, but each different animal is a whole new set of running, walking, jumping, flying, attacking, and idle (and I'm sure more) animations to get right, otherwise it just won't look right. Give it time. They are over-utilizing the dog because it's the new toy and fastest way to give us lots of new things fast now. I'm sure more are on the way.

Less canines, more felines. I am very much a cat person, and as such I have little to no interest in anything dog-related outside of Beast Mastery (which at least has a couple of lions to go with all of those darned wolves).

Naturally I'd like to see some feline vanity pets -- possibly a Siamese, or a big ole Maine Coon. I have at least two Magic-based characters who would love to have a Black Cat vanity pet for use as a familiar. Bonus: a Black Cat would also be a perfect fit for the next annual Halloween event (for ambiance if nothing else). Something like a Lion Cub or a Tiger Cub could also work for a vanity pet.

The Cheetah practically screams to be made into a Travel Power.

If Mastermind Pet customization ever comes to pass, I'd love to be able to swap out the "Dire" Wolf with something like, say, a Tiger (maybe even a Saber-Toothed Tiger?). Moving away from felines for a moment, the oft-mentioned Bear would also be a good choice for a "Dire" Beast. Anything other than yet another dog would be a nice option.

Note that I am not categorically opposed to more canines; I'd just like to see some other animals first. I think that -- between the vanity pets, the Coyote Travel Power, the Umbra Beast, and the many wolves of Beast Mastery -- we've got enough dogs for the moment. At the very least I'd like to see enough felines (and other animals) added to reach a degree of parity with the currently existing canines. The lions included with Beast Mastery are a nice start.

And, of course, I'd like to see Dinosaurs added to the game as well -- both the four-legged varieties (like Triceratops and Stegosaurus) and two-legged varieties (like T-Rex and Velociraptor). Some mythological beasts like Dragons, Gryphons, etc. would also be cool.

my main interest in 4 legged rigs is, while it was not an if then statement, posi made the comment that for dinos we would need a 4 legged rig, and he said that comment relatively close to when the Halloween event came out, so it was very likely a statement made with knowledge that such a thing was on the imminent list for being implemented.

as such, My hope is that we get the absolute staple of comics, a dinosaur island type area. dragons also would be nice and do fit in the larger comics genre. so yeah, dinos and dragons, thats my wish.
