  1. Less canines, more felines. I am very much a cat person, and as such I have little to no interest in anything dog-related outside of Beast Mastery (which at least has a couple of lions to go with all of those darned wolves).

Naturally I'd like to see some feline vanity pets -- possibly a Siamese, or a big ole Maine Coon. I have at least two Magic-based characters who would love to have a Black Cat vanity pet for use as a familiar. Bonus: a Black Cat would also be a perfect fit for the next annual Halloween event (for ambiance if nothing else). Something like a Lion Cub or a Tiger Cub could also work for a vanity pet.

The Cheetah practically screams to be made into a Travel Power.

If Mastermind Pet customization ever comes to pass, I'd love to be able to swap out the "Dire" Wolf with something like, say, a Tiger (maybe even a Saber-Toothed Tiger?). Moving away from felines for a moment, the oft-mentioned Bear would also be a good choice for a "Dire" Beast. Anything other than yet another dog would be a nice option.

Note that I am not categorically opposed to more canines; I'd just like to see some other animals first. I think that -- between the vanity pets, the Coyote Travel Power, the Umbra Beast, and the many wolves of Beast Mastery -- we've got enough dogs for the moment. At the very least I'd like to see enough felines (and other animals) added to reach a degree of parity with the currently existing canines. The lions included with Beast Mastery are a nice start.

And, of course, I'd like to see Dinosaurs added to the game as well -- both the four-legged varieties (like Triceratops and Stegosaurus) and two-legged varieties (like T-Rex and Velociraptor). Some mythological beasts like Dragons, Gryphons, etc. would also be cool.
  2. I haven't read the entire thread, nor do I really have an opinion on whether or not the Alpha slot can or should be considered part of Going Rogue (both sides of the argument have made valid points, I think).

However, I can say that I would happily purchase an unlock for the Alpha slot and related, non-trial content (similar to the unlock for First Ward content, for example) from the Paragon Market for my soon-to-be Premium account. Further, I think that allowing Free and returning Premium players to experience this small taste of the Incarnate system for themselves might convince them to take it a step further and purchase VIP subscriptions so that they can experience the rest of the system for themselves as well.

Of course, the Incarnate trials and all other non-Alpha Incarnate content can (and should) remain exclusive to VIP subscriptions.

    DCnU [Spoilers!]

I would just like to add that, IMO, a rebooted Justice League without Martian Manhunter present as a founder (or even as just a non-founding member of the team for that matter) is pretty much epic fail right out of the gate.

(Yes, I do know that he shows up as a member of the new Stormwatch, but that is beside the point.)
  4. Okay, now these costumes I really like. This batch looks much improved over the costumes posted in the original thread. I've always loved the Circle's original look, but I realize that keeping the current, older design of the group just wasn't in the cards. However, IMO this newest design is a fantastic merger of the original CoT look with that first, less well-received update; when I look at these new images I actually think to myself, "That's the Circle of Thorns" again. The long garments, tall hats, and partially to fully obscured faces really make a big difference here. I especially like the newly updated look for the lieutenants (huge improvement on the Energy Mage from before) and the bosses. The Death Mage looks wicked. The base "minion" looks pretty good, too. Nice use of color all around (although I do hope that there's an as-yet-unseen red and black color scheme in there somewhere).

Major kudos to the Art Team for a very well done update and to the Developers in general for paying heed to the players' earnest feedback! My fears, such as they were, have been pretty much alleviated. Looking forward to seeing these guys (and gals!) in-game.
  5. I use interrupt reduction in Recall Friend to help facilitate corpse placement if under enemy fire. For Fallout.

If not for this specific case I doubt I'd use interrupt reduction in that power. I'd just slot an end reduction or something.

If I ever bother to take a snipe power I might throw some in there as well. Same for Aid Self (though I doubt I would ever give Aid Self more than one enhancement's worth -- its interrupt period is already pretty low).
  6. Is there any particular reason why you did not include Telekinetic Thrust in any of your calculations for Psionic Assault? I would have thought that it would definitely be desirable after the test changes (much like Power Push). Or am I missing something (wouldn't be the first time)?

    Just curious.
  7. I am the terror that flaps in the night!
I am the grade curve that gives you an F!
    I am... DARKWING DUCK!
  8. Screwloose (or anyone else in the know),

You wouldn't happen to have the I5 numbers for the duration and recharge of Petrifying Gaze and Tenebrous Tentacles, would you?

I'm trying to determine if Pet. Gaze in particular still has the utility to make it worth taking.

    Thanks in advance!
