Yes, it does. The transition occurs at something like 30 yards, and becomes 90 feet. (or it's 20 yards and 60 feet, but whatever, it supports the 3 feet = 1 yard measure).

You can most easily test this with a mission door, which I have numerous times. I get bored.

Using the pylons in RWZ, I moved to 1 mile from one of them, and there were two intervening in a relatively straight line. Using them as waypoints, I measured the intervening distances in yards and got 1762 yards, which is just 2 yards off of how many yards are in an actual mile.

So, yes, the game really uses 1 mile = 5280 feet; and 3 feet = 1 yard.

Yes, at 1000 meters, it ticks over to 1.00 km. It goes 999.9m to 1000.0 m for a split second, and then goes "Wait, wrong display" and ticks over to 1.00

We can switch the display to metric? How?

Well, I play with the German Client. I'm sure the French client would use meters too.

and I bet they go to McD's and get a Royale with Cheese!

The game measures a mile correctly...at least in terms of numbers.

.5 miles in game is 880 yards.

That's been my impression playing the game. Once I go under .5 miles it switches to yards which number in the 800s, which is what you'd expect. 1 mile = 1760 yards, .5 miles = 880 yards.

Nah. I think I'd much rather have a Tomato McGrand.

I also tested #2 last night.

The progression for me was:

X miles --> .5 miles -> 879 yds -> 33 yds --> 99 ft --> 0

Interestingly, at the cutover points, I can actually move a bit before they switch.
I never did get it to say 880 (1/2 mile in yds). It always went from .5 miles to 879 yds.

That said, with RL measures being: 5280 ft = 1 mile = 1760 yds, I believe it's winding
down correctly (or at least close enough - for a game).

Now, for answers to your other questions:

#1: RNG - the number of times I'd have to random roll (per play session) to get a
decent Pool C recipe

#3: They're all powers I've never played... (I've never run a Dom ... yet)

#4: More than I'm willing to craft

#5: Derp? What is this "derp" you speak of?

Cheers,
4

I just realized, none of the things listed in the OP are riddles; they're trivia.

Riddles have cryptic clues that hint at their answers:

Code:
This thing all things devours:
Birds, beasts, trees, flowers;
Gnaws iron, bites steel;
Grinds hard stones to meal;
Slays king, ruins town,
And beats high mountain down.
Code:
What has roots as nobody sees,
Is taller than trees
Up, up it goes,
And yet never grows?
Code:
Alive without breath,
As cold as death;
Never thirsty, ever drinking,
All in mail never clinking
Code:
A box without hinges, key or lid,
Yet golden treasure inside is hid.
This is just a question:

Code:
What have I got in my pockets?

I have a trivia question!

(I asked this in a channel in-game last night).

In Terra Volta there's an explore badge called Power Walker. Aside from the story associated with the badge, can anyone give the other reason why this badge was likely placed where it was placed?

It was on the ground route to the Reactor

Exactly. ^_^

I like that one because these days one wouldn't even realize that once there was a NEED for a path to the reactor for people with only sprint or super speed. ^_^

Interesting that there are answers to 1, 2, 4, and 6, leaving only 3 of the 4 prime numbered ones unsolved. :P

As to the "they all have 9 powers" well, some have "Power boost"...

So, for question 3, the fact that they are all unique to Doms isn't relevant? It's certainly something they all have in common. I suspect the answer you're looking for is "Assault", though.

I still maintain that question five is entirely subjective, unless it's a pun question and "Derp" is actually an acronym. If it is a pun question, your audience have completely failed to recognise it, which makes it a poor pun question. For a serious answer, due to the simple existence of the Repel power, which I consider to be next to useless, and therefore causing the powerset to contain more "Derp" than I am willing to accept, I'm choosing Kinetics. (See what I mean about it being subjective?)

As for question 7... Red is a colour traditionally associated with heat. The phrase "seeing red" is associated with anger (or "Rage", if you will). Since the maximisation of Rage is a goal for Brutes, the AT as a whole is trying to "maximise their heat". Quod Erat Demonstradum.
