I think the idea if this thread though is to make a ZOMG character, so i would make the above but with blaster base dmg and scrapper crits and tanker base def values instead. And ancillary pool powers of all tier 3 pet summons.

Theme-wise, one of my Scrappers was always Dark Melee-Martial Arts/Regeneration-Ninjitsu. I was able to build him as such on the secondary standpoint (runs at 32.5% M/R/AoE with the 5% from Barrier T4), but coming up short on the offense side always left me sad. Let us see if we cannot fix that.

Thanks. The theme (which I probably should have explained in my first post) was Aggro Magnet/Evolved Buzzsaw build. Looking more closely at it, I'm not sure if it could run the Smite>MG>Smite>SL attack chain. Let's see if I can make an arbitrary build with it. Using Tanker mods for the armors and pool powers.

Ageless Core Epiphany seems like a good solution. Extra 10% recharge and 100% Recovery (on top of the other parts of the bonus through the other minute of activation).

I thought about making an indestructible character, but I think something pretty simple works well:

Focused Fighting, Danger Sense, Dodge, Agile, Lucky, Minerals

- Using Tanker numbers, that's 40.56% defense to M/R/A, 39% defense to psi, and capped 95% DDR before power pools, and scaling resistances.

Integration, Dull Pain, Energize

- Mez protection, +regen, enddisc, recovery, heal

I haven't tried to make an actual build with those powers, but you should be more than capped to melee, ranged, AoE, and psi, and have capped 95% DDR. You'll have a lot less resistance than Infini's build, but probably a lot more regeneration (and the scaling resistances will provide some resistance).


There's also an option I consider cheating even under the circumstances, but it technically works:

You should be able to get to capped defense, capped resistance, capped DDR, and undo most or all of granite's self recharge debuff.

But can it hold up to 8 Lightning Storms, 14 Freezing Rains/Sleets, a Rain of Fire, the endurance drains from the storms + Transference and a Hurricane's ToHit debuff if you got close enough?

I think I'd make a Confuse/Kin Dominator.

My primary would be something like

Confuse (Mind)
Confuse (Fortunata)

Mass Confusion (Controller)

At that point, I really would not care about a secondary, but what the hell? I can play another Kin.

I guess I'd take Air Superiority and some of the craftable temps for that one mob that lives through the carnage. My special toon would have Scrapper melee values.

Probably not. But on the subject of endurance drain, I was also wondering what the very best I could do with an all passive defensive set would be:

Dodge
Agile
Lucky
Bane Spider Armor Upgrade

~ +150% regen

I can add inherent fitness to this, and get more regen, and I can theoretically slot at least Steadfast, Glad Armor, and Shield Wall procs and get an additional 6% defense to all and 3% resistance to all, still with no defensive toggles or clicks. In an invention build you should be able to cap melee and get pretty good ranged/AoE defense. You don't have a lot of non-positional psi defense but you do have a ton of psionic resistance.

End drain is at least defensively moot. The bigger problem is the low mez magnitude protection. You could drop some defense and resistance and get more by stacking Crab Spider Armor Upgrade.

Ill be honest since COV first came out I was always annoyed by villain ATs because they had little to nothing to do with many of the old well known vil groups we had grown to have fondness for as we had beat them down over and over as heroes.

For example I wanted to love master minds, I tried every set. couldnt get into any of them because they are generic and none really fit with any vil group. Id of given anything for a Tsoo master mind who was like a sorcerer with tsoo type pets rather then a ninja. A banished pantheon type shaman with BP pets instead of necromancer, an eidelon with vahzilok instead of robots, etc.

As for others. I still want to play something like some of the tsoo have. martial arts and kinetics. Sounds like a scrapper version of a corruptor to me and I bet would be tons of fun to have a melee primary dps class, with self/team support 2ndaries.

Also as for someone talking about thier ideal sniper. I myself since COV launch felt blasters biggest need was instead of defiance or maybe added to, a stealth/ AS function in all thier 2ndaries and a new longer range snipe. maybe even granting blasters some form of superior visibility as well if possible.

Also Control/Fire Aura/Fire Blast with the same Fire Blast powers I have already mentioned above and having containment as an inherent would be fun.

Also something like a Dominator with Control/Blast/Defense Epics with Containment would be good for self-sufficiency. The Defense Epics would have to have both Mez protection and a heal, with some Defense all toggle.

Also for MM lovers. I would say a Pet/Control/Debuff Epic would be nice.

Now that I think about it I would probably roll a Mind Control/Fire Aura/Fire Blast Epic with containment as I mentioned in my previous post.

Edit: No Rise of the Phoenix though. Would have to have some other tier 9th like MOG or a Damage Buff like Rage.

I would probably have to do something really silly... Like a Street Justice/Kinetics with Fury and a Brute damage cap.

Who needs silly things like Defense and Resistance when Crushing Uppercut is guaranteed to hit for something like 2,400 damage, and you can use it every 4 seconds?


Or, for a bit more hilarity, though much less effective... Ice Control/Ice Manipulation(Blaster secondary)/Cold Mastery(Blaster version) for the ultimate in AoE slow/sleep/control power. That would give you, what... 3 ST Holds, 3 AoE sleeps, two Ice Slicks, Chilling Embrace, Snow Storm, and Arctic Air, plus a pet? And you could easily softcap to S/L!


Last, but not least, something that would require minimal changes to the game. Claws/Shield and Titan Weapons/Shield Scrappers or Brutes. No other changes necessary! *imagines stacking Follow Up with Against All Odds* Mmmm, tasty.

I'd roll a Dp/MA blapper with Peacebringer Inherent. On an entire team of blasters, i would be their king.
