Alt Invites to your Supergroup(Hero/Villain)
It's an idea that has been suggested numerous times before, and I've supported it (and suggested it myself a few times). The Devs are for some reason against it. And I think they're wrong.
Let me never fall into the vulgar mistake of dreaming that I am persecuted whenever I am contradicted.

The idea has been proposed before. And of course I'd have to say /signed as well, although I think someone would point out that supergroups were "never intended" for solo players.
But it would also work to recruit other people who are off-line, so if you knew that Samson Sledge was on that server, you didn't have to wait for them to be online at the same time you are to recruit them.
The downside, though, is that you could potentially get deluged with off-line offers once you do log in, and I don't know how that would affect certain players.

I would find it handy to invite your alts. If your buddy is in your SG, he can invite his own alts.
Just have a SG setting "members can invite thier alts {yes/no}" or go with the existing settings where various ranks can/can't send invites. You should trust your upper echelon to invite thier alts as much as you trust them to invite other players.
The only reason I see for not allowing members to invite thier alts is the case of themed SGs, but this falls within the trust factor above, that the leaders won't invite the wrong alts.
I disagree with the Dev policy against solo SGs. I also disagree with the other anti-solo policies, but that's for another day.
I'm another who's wanted an offline SG invitation system forever now (not specifically for alts, either; it'd be really nice to be able to invite a friend who isn't online).
Personally, I'd like to see it done through the mail system.
FUN FACT: That burst of light when you level up is actually the effectiveness escaping from your enhancements all at once.
The devs were asked about this back in October I think during one of the Ustreams and they flat out told us that if they were ever to add a feature that allowed us to send SG invites to characters that were offline they would deliberately block us from inviting our own characters.
This isn't an issue about players not wanting this (personally I'd love it), it's about the devs not wanting it.
As others have said, it's something that's been requested numerous times. I support the idea, and I hope it keeps getting suggested until the change is finally made. Just seems like a QoL issue to me, although I suppose there could be facets to such a change that I don't really understand, such as the PVP base raids I've heard talk of.
Regarding the devs position on it, Positron has stated (I'm paraphrasing, possibly wildly) that supergroups are intended to be group content and that such a change goes against that intent.

Like others in this thread I support this idea every time it comes up.

It's a great idea, and I wish the devs would change their minds about not allowing it.
At least these days, with Free/Premium accounts, it's somewhat easier to work around the restriction.

I think this is a great idea and endorse it wholly. Why not allow it. People may want to be in their own SG, team with other people, but have various heroes/villains to call their own group and to rotate through.
I agree with the Dev's on this one. It's not a SG if only one player is in it. I like the idea of personal lairs.
/signed for personal lairs w/ with the ablility to ($)buy additional space.
Another options, make a ($)purchasable account storage where any of your toons can save items there and they can be used by any toon.

Why are suggesting that (_alot_ of) people be forced to pay money for something we have for free right now? Alot of people like their personal SGs, and just because only 1 person is in it doesn't make it any less of a super group (especially if you have multiple of your own toons in it)

Premium accounts are forced to invite complete strangers into their SG's who have to be VIP's in order to have access to base storage. Otherwise they will lose all access to their bases when the first rent becomes due because only VIP's can pay base rent.
F2P accounts can't even join SG's unless they spend money.
A lot of people don't have it for free. They are already being forced to spend money if they want access to bases.

Oh really? I didn't know that. Good to know though. Either way I still think the current SG system we have right now is fine (base editting is a whole nother thing). I wouldn't want to pay money as a VIP (or Prem) to make a solo sg or have to transfer to a new system when I can already do that with the current system.

Although I would be willing to pay "an amount" of paragon points for the account wide ability to invite alts. I don't think its unreasonable to pay for the privilege since buying extra storage for your character is pretty expensive and this is a way to achieve a similar benefit. Mind you, I would not be surprised if there was some discrepancy between what NCSoft would want us to pay and what I would be willing to pay (based on the cost of said extra storage).

Whenever you wanted your alts into a supergroup, you had to ask someone to help you by inviting them to your supergroup for the moment and making them leader of your supergroup and having them invite your alts to your Supergroup, and when you were done, you simply kicked them out after you asked them to make your main leader again.
Shouldnt there be another way?Is there another way?I have an idea for that.It could be a slash command for instance! It would save you a lot of time.Lets say that my main was Samson Sledge
Samson Sledge
Then,I wanted to invite my alt to my supergroup
I could type /altsupergroupinvite Hero or Villain Name
Alt invites to your sg would be quicker this way.You wouldnt have to ask anyone to invite your alts, you could just type a quick slash command.
Just an idea. : )
