What if players could create charachters,either hero,or villain,that wasnt necessairly a specific archetype,but rather a charachter that has powers selected from any archetype they wish,bothe hero or villain.

For example,a player could mix and match powers,therby creating a custom charachter.

You could have an electric blaster with electric armor
You could have an assault riffle blaster,with invunerability
You could have a martial artist with energy manipulation capabilities.

Let your imagination run wild.

From time to time,whenever I play the game,my screen freezes solid without warning,and I crash.Nothing move on my screen as all,and I have to restart my computer in order to fix it!I fix it just fine with my computer restart,but I know its just going to happen again.Any ideas,fellow players?Please help! : )

Whenever you wanted your alts into a supergroup,you had to ask someone to help you by inviting them to your supergroup for the moment and making them leader of your supergroup and having them invite your alts to your Supergroup,and when you were done,you simply kicked them out after you asked them to make your main leader again.

Shouldnt there be another way?Is there another way?I have an idea for that.It could be a slash command for instance!It would save you a lot of time.Lets say that my main was Samson Sledge

I could type /altsupergroupinvite Hero or Villain Name

Alt invites to your sg would be quicker this way.You wouldnt have to ask anyone to invite your alts,you could just type a quick slash command.

Now,this idea would be for those who love to give their charachters secret identities,but anyone could use it if they wanted to.

1)For starters,what if you could create a totally normal person as one of your charachter slot?This person would be able to walk or run and that is it,and they would be a players secret identity and you could give them any job whether it would be at a hospital,a university,or a train station or whatever a player would want to give their civilian identity.A players powers wouldnt even be shaded out in this case,they would be completely gone as your civilain identity.

2)Different charachter slot names would certainly make a secret identity more fun.For instance,you could create your normal person first off when you first create your charachter..

Charachter slot 1:John Doe

..and then when you click on another costume slot,that costume could have your hero or villain name!

Charachter slot 2:Hero or Villain Name.

You could name your charachter slots and those names would appear over your charachters head as you play!You could go from one to another as BRUCE BANNER changes into the INCREDIBLE HULK,or BRUCE WAYNE into BATMAN,or CLARK KENT into SUPERMAN.

1)There is a first time for everything,Sharker.NET Framework 2.0 dosent work on my Windows Vista 7 Ultimate 64-Bit OS!

2)Ok,there is a number that appears after Value in Parenthisisn the Enhancements screen.What if that number indicated how many enhancements was either too much for your power,or absolutely right,smply by the color of the number in Parenthisis?

Let us say that that number was Red,for instance.It would tell you to drop or change some enhancements,so,lets say that you have to drop two enhacements to make it right....

Now the number in the Parenthisis was blue,and therfore just right.

The color of the number in Parenthisis would indicate if you had the enhancements in your power just right,or if you have too many enhancements in a power,and therby making it useless.This would be big for tankers to have,in my opinion.

1)NET framework 2.0 isnt working on a 64-bit system,so I cant download Mids onto my computer,and...

2)In Mids Hero and Villain Designer,there is a thing called "Stats" that deal with certain aspects of a power,and the Mids color system shows how much is too much for a certain powers aspects such as Damage,Endurancem and Defense.Lets take the power Temp Invulnerability for Tankers for instance..

Enter the Enhancements screen in game and you will see Temp Invunerability,and there are three things you must deal with,and see when you drag your cursor over the power..


Buff/Debuff
Base Valus
Value

...and other than that,there are certain aspects under those three headings,,Lets take smashing/damage resistance,right now,mine reads like this..

Smashing Damage Resistance...Base Value30%...Value 44.91(49.7)

As you add enhancements to the power of Temp Invunerability,the number in the parenthesis grows,and my coloring system would show how many enhacements is too much for a power aspect using THAT number as an indicator.

Go to Stats in Mids Hero and Villain Designer if you still don't understand,you will see what I mean.

I have tried to download Mids Hero and Villain Designer on a 64-bit system,and it isnt letting me,and I have no idea what NET. Framework is needed for a Microsoft Windows Vista 7(64-bit) system.So my idea is this..

Make up the enhancements stats and percentages,and how effective they are by color-coded enhancement stats so mids wont even be needed!Colored percentages can tell you if enhancements make a power too weak,just right,nearly bad,or bad by colored numbers telling you if a enhancements make a power just right,or bad.

I had this idea that there should be this option where you can invite your Alternate Heroes or villains to your supregroup without bringing on someone else,and invite them to your sg,and have THEM invite your alts to you sg.

I just think the process of bringing on alts to your sg should be easier than the current way.

Yes,I see this as I play on either hero,or villain side that when I log in and after I play a mission and step out of it,I am overcome by very sticky lag,and its driving me nuts,and it has been happening ever since the arrival of i17.As far as what my system has?..

I remember something similar like what I am experiencing when AE first came out,and I just had everything replaced anew in my Tower Desktop Computer.So my question to you is,Is this lag and crashing happening on my end,or on the GM's end,and it it is happening on my end,what would you suggest I need to have done?

One power set,I have already commented on,as have a few other people.

1)New Power Set:Personal Force Field

This power set would be for Tankers and Brutes.Some of the Powers are already there..

4)"Back-Up Power"-A Power equivelant to "Dull Pain" or "Earth's Embrace"
5)"Richochet"-A shield power that would cause an Enemies attack to be directed right back to them!
6)"Protrusions"-A power similar to "Icicles",once activated,the Shield would form hundreds of spikes on the Shield,rather than four or five spikes,stabbing the enemy away from the player
7)"Three-Shot"-Once activated,the Shield generates spheres which shoot outward from the main Shield in the form of a Three-Way Shot,knocking enemies down which are in front of you
8)"Force Ball"-Similar to "Shield Charge",once activated,the Shield would shoot you forward to the enemies,much like a Bowling Ball.
9)"Shield Galvanization-"The most powerful tool of the Shield,once activated,the Shield draws power from all your nearby foes,making your Shield immeasurably strong,protecting you from all forms of damage,including Psionics,and when the power wears down,its the Shield that looses power,not your hit points.

Here are some ideas..

1)Charachter Customization

All players with powers such as the Phantom Army,Mastermind Minions,and any other form of temporary assistant,could now be transformed to look like the players that own them!

2)New Costume Selections

As always,every issue should bring with it new costume selections to expand a players charachter more.Here are some ideas for this change..

-Ziggurate Issue Orange Suits
-Belt Insignias
-Executioner's Mask
-Iron Mask
-A Ventriloquist Dummy's Face
-Wrist and/or Forearm Communication Device.
-Chest Detail:Treble Clef lines,both Ascending,and Descending Notes
-Mask with Straps

3)More AE Content

AE Content has been given to us strong,but there is always room for more,such as Event enemies,like Halloween Event Zombies,or Christmas Winter Horde enemies,or maybe ideas that are outside the box,such as famous Supergroup Bases like the Freedom Phalanx base!

5)E-Mail Options;Badge

We all hate those certain merchants who advertise themselves through E-Mail,but now,with I17 Now here..We have new Options such as..

"Delete All"
"Adding Key Words to an E-Mail Program"(Simply to make sure that your E-Mail recognizes key words from the merchants,and therfore making those e-mails sent by Merchants impossible to get through)

or...

We could send all E-Mails that we have when we log into the game to an Achievement Bar,and turn them all into a Badge!Maybe like 6 Badges!Some of the Badges titles could be..

"Exhausted" Badge
"Fed-Up" Badge
"Irritated" Badge

..and three more!

Maybe we can turn all the E-Mails they send us into an Accolade as well!Perhaps one that grants us new Armor,rather than Hit Points.


6)Vault Reserve

It isnt just for Invention Salvage anymore.With Issue 17,the Vault Reserve could now hold,not just Invention Salvage,but it is now for Infamy/Influence,and IO Recipes,SO,and DO Enhancements,or whatever else you could put in there.

7)The Log-In Screen

Since the Website CoH was redone some time ago,why stop there?The Log-In Screen begs for a change.I can feel it!

8)Two-Person Emotes and One Person

I know this had been talked about forever,but I see this as actually happening,and it could help develop quality-of-life as well.We could have Two-Person Emotes such as the following..

-A hug
-A kiss
-A Handshake
-A violent push
-A punch acroos the face
-a kick in the ankle

..and im sure there are plenty others..

..as for the One Person New Emotes,they are

-/e flagwave (Your country of orgin)
(In-Game Orginazations:Hero or Villain)
(Supergroup Emblem)
-/e aim-Aim your weapon at a person until you break the emote

Just some ideas for Issue 17:High Customize!

I am suggesting Ventriloquist Dummies to have as a new Mastermind Minion Powerset.i cannot think of powersets for these dummies as of yet,but what about this?..

Suppose we choose what powers these dummies have ourselves?One dummy could be a blaster.Another dummy could be a controller,and another dummy could be a tanker..

..and also,I see having this power as kind of fitting because you are basically the ones making the dummies talk(Just like any of a Mastermind pets),as though you were a Ventriloquist for them.

In AE,everything you create and build is automatically placed for you.There should be an option where a player could show precision,and place an enemy,or an item where they want it to be,rather than leave it to the game.


I also think that every enemy,whether it be an event enemy group,or not,should be placed in the AE enemy selection screen.


Supergroup Base maps in AE are a must,and its not just famous supergroup bases,such as the Freedom Phalanx,that should be placed,but we should build these maps from the ground up,much like a supergroup base that players make.It should be complete with all things that player SG's are.

Isnt there a mechanic or programming that could make the avatars people play to blink their eyes and move their mouths when they speak?It certainly would bring a speck of life to people's charachters.

What I am saying in the end,is that a players charachter when you type in your chatbox,the players charachter could blink their eyes and move their mouths when they speak if this idea were implemented.

These may have been mentioned already,but..

1)Whenever you invite a player to your team,you see a black bar in the team roster where the players name should be.

2)I am seeing a lot more "City of Heroes has encountered a problem and needs to close" disconnecting messages.

3)Duplication:Let us say you were a team leader,and you could invite Statesman to your team,which you do,and then you could invite Positron..When Positron would take the invite,Statesman's name pops up in the team roster again.It's as though you invited Statesman twice,therby duplicating his name.
