People have been asking for an option to send invites to offline people for a long time. I think the problem that is holding it up is the fear of griefing. I know it would be annoying to me to log in and have to click no 50 times before I could start playing. If they could find a way to keep that from happening, I would be all for this.

I think it's a great idea.
As a way to avoid griefing, how about including an option to restrict off-line (or both off-line and on-line) invites to friends, in the same way as the e-mail restrictions?

agreed. I have been wishing for this myself.
I had this idea that there should be this option where you can invite your Alternate Heroes or villains to your supregroup without bringing on someone else,and invite them to your sg,and have THEM invite your alts to you sg.
I just think the process of bringing on alts to your sg should be easier than the current way.
