I got my token yesterday, and didn't get the points until this evening - I'm not certain exactly when, but they weren't there this afternoon when I logged on and the date shown in microtransactions when I check account info is November 25th. I'm in the eastern time zone and it's still the 24th here for another 30 mins.

Well the official word is that we now get our points the day/day after we pay. So September/October's points were given early. Whereas all the points we get from now on will be given after we pay.

I was of the opinion that my payment on the 20th Oct meant I was owed points on the 12th Nov. I was wrong. My payment on the 20th Oct was for 400 points I'd already used 6 days earlier.

Here's a handy timeline:

13th Sept - Market Launch - 1600 Points
14th Sept - Point Bundle A - 400 Points
20th Sept - Purchase Month A
14th Oct - Point Bundle B - 400 Points
20th Oct - Purchase Month B
20th Nov - Purchase Month C
21 Nov - Point Bundle C - 400 Points

I imagine everyone else still "waiting on points" may actually have already received them according to CS...

Look, one of two things is happening:

1) They have made some mistakes. Big deal, you've made mistakes before, too. In fact, apparently you made one in misunderstanding how the allotment of points worked, but instead of being all "gosh, I'm sorry!" like you expect Paragon Studios to be, you're just digging in deeper.

2) They're deliberately trying to screw you. If you think that's the case, why are you even still here throwing good money after bad? I know that if I ever felt that Paragon Studios were trying to literally steal money from me, I'd be out of here in a heartbeat.

Did you ever stop to consider that they know that there has been problems, that they might even be willing to throw in some goodies to make things right, that you had an opportunity to present yourself in a way that would get the community behind you so that they feel added pressure to get this issue resolved?

To Paragon Studios/NCsoft:

This issue is irritating, but please note that Xanatos does not represent the player base as a whole. Please fix the issue when you can, bump it a notch higher on the priority list if possible since it seems to be pretty widespread. I'm not demanding out of some misguided righteous indignation, I'm asking because I think it would improve the company image, make players happier, and ultimately, improve the bottom line through more spending in the store.

The sad thing is that I do agree that Paragon Studios/NCsoft needs to get this issue tackled once and for all. Ideally, I'd like a detailed billing view on my account management that shows me:

  • Exactly when I've been charged for anything,
  • Exactly what it was I was charged for,
  • When and what exactly I've purchased with Paragon Points and Reward Tokens,
  • When and exactly how many Paragon Points and Reward Tokens have been given to me,
  • For bonus points, a parenthetical note of why Paragon Points and Reward Tokens have been given to me.

Here's a concrete example (and I'm totally making up this history) of a detailed information log that would make me positively giddy:
  • Oct 18, 2011: +550 Paragon Points VIP + bonus allotment
  • Oct 19, 2011: -400 Paragon Points Paragon store purchase(s)
    • 400: 5 x Enhancement Widgets
  • Oct 22, 2011: -180 Paragon Points Paragon store purchase(s)
    • 80: 1 x Awesomesauce Inspiration
    • 100: 1 x Über belt costume piece
  • Oct 22, 2011: +1 Reward Token VIP allotment
  • Oct 23, 2011: +4600 Paragon Points Purchase from NCsoft
  • Oct 23, 2011: +3 Reward Tokens Purchase bonus
  • Oct 31, 2011: Month End Status
    • 5180 Paragon Points
    • 4 Reward Tokens ($5 remaining until next token)
  • Nov 04, 2011: -1 Reward Token Reward claim: Base Teleporter (Tier 5)
  • Nov 04, 2011: -1 Reward Token Reward claim: Vanity Pet (Tier 5)

I'm thinking that going forward, the system is ignoring the old "Veteran Time" for the Aniversary badges and just going off paid which would be a glitch.

I am not convinced that it's working off of a number that's related to either one.

The 23rd isn't my pay date nor my veteran reward date (which was the same as my pay date, which was the 2nd).

It doesn't seem to be related to anything but the 23rd, afaict.

I've been wondering where my points are too, as I just got another token the other day, but according to my account management, my renewal happens on the 29th of this month, so I guess I have to give it a few more days.

I'm quite happy. I got a reward token finally and I didn't need to wait until the end of december as I feared I would. I'm sure in a few days I'll have my paragon points, not worried about the sale going on.. grabbed what I wanted. Best of luck to the rest of you though.

Its odd though, I've gotten my reward token but the 400 pts and server xfer has not yet been credited to my main account. And I have paid for a 6 month subscription that is due only on Feb.

Last time they awarded Paragon Points to me was on 14 Oct, now its almost end of Nov and I still don't get any points.... I wonder if the system is so borked that my 400 pts is being forfeited...

Your server transfer was credited on November 1 (and October 1 and one with/soon after Head Start). You'll get another one on December 1.

Points is anyone's guess at this point. Throw something at a dartboard and you might get close to the target.

Might want to double check your billing summary to make sure - under microtransaction - on your NCSoft Master Account.

Litte bit of a update on my Points.

Hadn't seen any addition on the 28th (Billing is currently the 27th).
Filed a petition through the support website early afternoon on the 28th. I got a auto reply and then a CS e-mail a couple hours later stating I'll have a reply w/in 24 hours.
Checked my account status later that night and noticed my points had been added w/a posting date of the 29th, so I'm happy (just in time to get the Gunslinger Pack). Left a addition (on the 28th) on my ticket asking if the 29th is going to be my PP awards date going forwards.
This afternoon (11/30), I got a e-mail from a different CS rep stating the following:

The November stipend for your account was disbursed yesterday, Nov 29 2011.
Now we'll have to see how December goes.

I normally get my stipend on the 13th of month. At least for October, I got it on 13th Oct.

On November, it was late and I only got it in 30th November. Now its 21st December and still no points. I'm really trying to figure out whats going on here. When are we really suppose to get it???

Submitted a ticket to customer support in game and they told me they can't help me because its not game-related. Which is kind of frustrating because now I don't have the points to buy items off the market when its on Sales.


I will miss you City of Heroes..

As was discussed earlier in this thread, everyone who was due their points later in the month got their points early in October. This was sorted out in November.

Therefore, you're due your points on the 30th of every month. You got them early in October, on the 13th, and you haven't gotten them this month yet because it isn't the 30th yet.


Main Hero: Mazey - level 50 + 1 fire/fire/fire blaster.
Main Villain: Chained Bot - level 50 + 1 Robot/FF Mastermind.

I see... I'm getting a bit confused since I didn't do a monthly subscription. Paid for 6 months upfront with Subscription ending mid of February.

That being said, am I correct that this is how it will look like as to when I'm actually getting my PP?

1. September 400 pp (apparently I cannot logged into COH forums from home computer so I can't check when it was credited to me for Sept)
2. October 400 pp (13th Oct)
3. November 400 pp (30th Nov)
4. December 400 pp (30th Dec)
5. January 400 PP (30th Jan)
6. February 400 PP (28th Feb) - That would mean I get my points after my sub ends.

Paragon points are allocated 1 business day after your renewal day. Mine was the 19th of December, so I received my points on the 20th.

Reward tokens are allocated at the end of the month.
