As for Kane, he was fighting brigands, slavers, vampires, demons, and assorted supernatural monsters before Statesman was even born. Come to think of it, Paragon City has Puritan roots as part of Rhode Island, so he'd have felt at home here. Dibs on the character name The Puritan on Exalted!

I love the hat. I got the aura. I love the doggie. I would like a wolf and a fox and a bear cub and tiger. Bravestarr...all i'm saying about that.

EDIT : If we get overcharged for this , I'm not gonna be happy.

Now that there's a working dog skeleton I too would like to see more breeds added. I for one would love to have my little Cairn Terrier following me around in game. And I'd pay double if it would start digging holes if I stand in one spot for too long.

When do we get the Dog?

I actually got a German Shepard/Lab Mix last month so having one in the game be neat! ^_^

Would the idea be for the Blaster to use the pistol for a ranged attack and the blade for melee and parry/defense? That could be interesting if the devs want to expand gun and blade options.

In the meantime, Fire Manipulation's Fire Sword and Fire Sword Circle seems to have the best compromise powers for a blade on a Blaster.

Seems reasonable to guess that now that they have a dog body model working that they could get other 4-legged critters made as well.

I have been pondering animal control for a long time. Animal mastermind may not work because it would require too much animation, skeleton actually in the world, needing held animations, knocked back animations, etc etc, but Animal Control could just have all the animals be graphics effects, like Mako's patron pool with sharks.

Right, you can already have Dual Pistols/Fire (or Ice) Manipulation to have guns and blades, so powersets more in tune with that concept would not be far-fetched. Energy Manipulation could be the model for a Sword secondary, since it has more melee attacks than the others, and the rest is self-buffing.

Dual blades with the pistol temp power. AFAIK Solomon Kane used the pistol as an opener before going in wiht the sword and main gauche. Been a while since i read it though.

i really, really like how the dog's running animations look. Surprisingly good. Overall the work on the dog is really nice.
Kudos to the Devs for adding a functional quadruped model.

That's a workable option. Replacing the flintlocks with a standard revolver cuts into the historical authenticity, but maybe The Puritan can be a Civil War reenactor of the English variety.
