Yeah... I won't spend cash on a temp weapon with limited charges.
A cheap permanent shotgun power, maybe.
Though, a temp shotgun power recipe added among the other temp powers recipes, for free, would be even better.

EDIT: ALSO, you can get these items from doing some of the relatively easy missions in Striga Isle, and the hammer you can craft for near to nothing. Perhaps the Devs are trying to catch out some of the new Freebies? <_<
I was doing some playthroughs of City of Heroes. Now they will serve as memories of a better time ...

Lame doesn't even come close to describing the new item. It is definitely NOT worth the downtime (not to mention price).

More than 3h of downtime for...this ?
I doubt the downtime was only to put this in.

Well that was a little disappointing. Does it only apply to one character, too?
Edit: Oh, yeah, apparently it's a character unlock instead of a global one.
And the holy shotgun shells power doesn't even use a shotgun model for the weapon? The hell is up with that.
