The devs made AE thinking that a flood of player made content would relieve them of having to make content. Then the dastardly players didnt make content to their specs!!!! If you hire low paid writers to write stories and dont tell them what you actually want, who's fault is it? Most story driven arcs in AE are crap. I really dont care about the long drawn out story of your origin. Just like I didnt care about the long drawn out story of your drizzt clone in D&D. You just have a larger audience to ambush with it here.

Lisa stares at the computer screen thoughtfully...then sighs.

I enjoyed the ambush farms. They were wicked fun..and gave me the tickets I needed to get Orange Salvage.

And no, the demise of my ambush farm will not get me playing more stories...While I enjoy seeing what our talented players come up with....I need Orange Salvage, and regular AE arcs are terrabad about the amount of tickets granted..and besides, I blame the AE authors for the ambush nerf, so playing their stories and rewarding them with five stars makes me ill.

I am sorry you feel that way. I think even the AE authors will agree with me when I say I find it hard to believe that the Devs listen to anything the AE authors say. If there is any blame to be had, its CEBR, and even then, CEBR was just playing a role that has been played many, many times.

As soon as a single repeatable reward starts being so popular that a dev decided critical mass is cashing in on it, it gets adjusted. Not nerfed. Adjusted. This is in no way blaming TopDoc, this is just the circle of farming life.

And dont worry about it too much, You will still be able to cap tickets on a mish ridiculously fast, so you can still have your Orange salvage.

Or you could learn the basics of how to handle the market and never be one of the dirty poor people who actually worries about buying orange salvage.

Instead you could pop 3 purples and trash the entire group in 10 seconds while the one guy was kiting for 60? They can spin it how they want but stacking multiple inspirations of the same type is FAR more exploitive than kiting ever was.

not to mention all enemies have a simple ranged attack that has greater range than snipe. and does more damage.

Actually, it doesn't. Lots of players want the I13 PvP changes, ED, and other things rolled back or changed. The Devs don't. Guess who has the final say?

And here I want *more* people to play the game, so it makes more money, gets a bigger development team, and continues being great for years.

Cause nerfing farms makes me mad (and yes i know this is where AE is to be posted. but sue me)

1) Leave AE and go back to PI.
2) A lvl 50 spawns a map +4/8 (bosses optional) *make the 50 a buffer
3) Everyone joins the team and enters the map
4) Everyone quits the team, but the lvl 50 map spawner
5) Everyone forms a new team with a lvl 48 as the leader. *if 48 good at farming is nice.
6) The team farms the baddies and gets +7 rewards.
7) The lvl 50 map spawner can buff and heal... anything that does no damage.

Not a simple thing to do, but the rewards are great and with a lvl shift and incarnates it's fine.


Min. Requ. are :
A lvl 50 map spawner (who gets no rewards)
A lvl 48 LvL spawner
A bunch of people who want lots of xp.


Also... you could form more than one team... even a league.


There ya go!! If any of this doesn't work for you. Read again. It works.

I'm pretty sure rewards cap at +4. Defeating a +5 or +6 enemy gives you exactly the same reward as a +4 out on the street.

(I'd intended to do something similar to farm for the last inf badge on my Stalker. Turns out running lots of iTrials with their +4 baddies got the job done just fine.)

Nope... the reward scale never changed. As long as your with-in 7 levels. Past 7 you get nothing. This wasn't and idea I had. It was tested and works... till they shut it down.


EDIT: to test the scale go kill +7s in a zone, street sweaping style.
