You have to be a Tier 9 rewards level, and be a subscriber. You can then place 1-3 reward tokens in the slots for Tier 9 VIP and get about a third of the costume pieces per slot.

They cannot be directly purchased with money or points, though you can purchase a whackload of points and thereby gain a whackload of reward tokens which might bump you up to Tier 9. Then you need to be a subscriber on top of that.

no celestial armor cannot be bought on the market, the only way to get celestial armor is to pick it from the paragon rewards which require you to be tier 9 VIP

edit: darn double scooped lol

If you buy paragon points it gives you reward tokens? How many paragon points would I need if I'm five tokens away from tier 9 VIP?

its $15 per token essentially so if you are 5 tokens off of it you would need 5x$15 worth of tokens, or about $75 worth of pts, at that point it would be easier to just buy the $100 pack (if first purchase will give you 9 tokens)

Well, if he's five tokens short of filling tier 8, he'd need 8 tokens - five to fill the tier and open up t9, and 3 to actually choose the costume slots.

Scin - just to make sure you know - you do not need to choose any of the t9 repeatable awards (the ones with the green arrows around them) to choose from the VIP section.

Hmm, for some reason it wouldn't let me choose the tier 9VIP... I thought i HAD to choose the other 5 first... So I guess I'm already elligible for the VIP but I wasted my one token i had on a repeatable...

Actually not -- it's 1 Reward Token per 1,200 Paragon Points purchased, which isn't the same thing, because the bonus points you receive for purchasing in bulk actually count toward the bonus Reward Tokens.

Well, I wasn't as far off from it as I thought. I bought $50 of PP over the weekend. Didn't even consider the tokens I'd get. While looking over my alts I noticed the 3 unspent tokens.

Looking at the reward tier, I originally thought I'd have to fill Tier 9 before I could pick the Celestial gear. Once I had the tokens to start filling Tier 9 I actually read the info and it dawned on me that, if these slots are repeatable, that should mean I can skip them and get Celestial now...

I was very pleased to say the least!

Yes they are being kind. I think the logic of 1 month = 1 token and 1200 points = 1 token is the same. Ie bought one at a time the price of either is $15.00 but but bought in bulk both give you discounts. So buying multiple months of subscription is less than $15 a month and buying points in bulk means that technically 1200 points isn't equal to $15.00.

But rather than count any of that they simply said 1 month = 1 token and 1200 points (purchased) = 1 token. Regardless of the actual amount of money spent to acquire those points or months. Which is them being smart in this case.

Did anyone see the previews of Marvel Comics Fear Itself #7? Where Iron Man gives the Avengers weapons from Odin which turns them into "the mighty"? Wouldn't it be ironic for Paragon to sue Marvel. lol

ha, I see what you mean, but I also have to remind you that Disney own Marvel now. Even without their legion upon legion of lawyers to cover Marvel's back, they could just turn around and say "well, know what, that looks a lot like Tron".

@craggy see me on Union for TFs, SFs (please!) or just some good ol fashioned teaming.
