Tanker Tuesday Seven Year Event Smashes on Champion Server Tuesday October 4th 2011!
Paragon Studios/NCSoft will be joining in the Seven Year Bash with an over the top
Praetorian Invasion Tanker Style!

Plus over $5 Billion in Prizes will be awarded!

*Tanker Tuesday is an evening gathering of Tankers who join together and have a great time running Missions/TF/Trials/ Events. This night of “Total Tanker Teamage" starts each month at 9:00 EDT on Champion Server and continues on multiple servers through the month, each event gathering at the King's Row side of the King's Row / Independence Port gate.

Originally started as a Super Group exclusive get-together in October 2004, the event known as Tanker Tuesday was held on the first Tuesday of each month, and due to its popularity soon opened up to be a server wide - and today Multiple server Tanker gathering. Breaking the border of Super Group allegiances, and attracting players on all servers, Tanker Tuesday was awarded the Official City of Heroes 2nd Annual Player’s Choice Award for Favorite Player-Run Event in 2006 and hosted three and five year anniversary celebrations in Oct 2007 & Oct 2009 which combined drew over 700 Tanks plus NCSoft personalities.

This event is open to EVERYONE regardless of Level, Super Group, or Server. Don't have a Tanker? This is the perfect opportunity to roll up a new one! Get advice from some of the longstanding Tankers, or just come out for a Tank-Tastic Time!

I am going to try to be there for this, but fiancee aggro might be tough to deal with. Hmmm...going to have to see what characters I have left on Champion, and see which one I should bring along. Or maybe I should just make a new one.

I got the mass-mailed PM about this.

Seeing as how I'm usually insulted and treated as the enemy of the Tanker 'community', I think I'll decline attending.

Maybe if they fix Tankers and the melee AT balance/fairness issues in time for the 8th year party I'll feel like we have something to celebrate and will show up.

I've never participated in a Tanker Tuesday. Didn't even notice their existence until sometime in the last year or so.

I've also never had more than 100 million Inf on any of my characters. But I don't think I'm hardcore enough for it, and I don't play on Champion.

It really is wild, soo much has come and gone since 2004 except this event, which in itself sort of symbolizes a Tanker, kudos.

This probably isn't the place to ask this but how is Invul/EM these days, I was thinking of dusting mine off until I noticed some not so flattering posts about both the sets, is there a condensed version of any recent changes to either for the last couple of years.

Redoptic, Invuln is great, EM is fine, just add some recharge added to it, but it's still a solid ST set (could also us "Energy Burn" (an inside joke to all me TT buds)).

And, not to jump in too far, but Johnny B., altough you get thrashed around a bit on the forums, I'm pretty sure you'd be welcome at a TT event. "All Tanks are welcome regardless of level or power set" (Part of the Tanker Tuesday motto). Go, join the fun, enjoy the AT for what it is, and running on an all Tanker team smashing goons into dust. I won't be able to join the event, please take my spot and help the Tankers celebrate seven years of a continuous event.

For anyone else who's ever thought of trying the AT, this is one event you want to attend! Roll a Tank, join the fun. And keep an eye out for when the TT Tour comes to your server!!

What NM said, with all the spawns from what will be an above average Praetorian Invasion with AVs & GMs it should be a good night to start a lowbie tank & get it some levels, and maybe prize money.

In all seriousness, though, I'm doing my best to make sure I can join in on the event. I've only ever participated once, but the Tank-Smashery goodness was a lot of fun. I have no doubts an Anniversary event would be even better.

I'll be burning a transfer token on this, too. This will definitely be worth moving back and forth on the servers for.
