I got 3 fps and logged off to play Planescape.
lol! 3fps? dams dude :P
All I know is Dame Silverwing, Emet and I ended up trying to organize the scratch hami raid in Hive 3 only to have Zwill mess with us. Messy, but certainly fun.
The followup MS raid with the WL was just icing on the cake.

And once again the Primal dimension is saved thanks to a little pink haired catgirl :P
...And I suppose Xanatos and Ascendant helped a LITTLE :P

I'm sad that I missed out on this

Caught the end of this event. At least got to help clear out Atlas Park of all the War Walkers, and even better was logging in on my Praetorian character to see the broadcasts about it.
Global: @Darkojin
It was great... I think one of the best moments was when a group went to Founder's waiting for the seeds to appear and Ascendant made a speech there. Really one of the highlights.

they do look like that!!
Unfortunately, I didn't think it was well organised or well thought through. By the time I showed up, there was already a significant amount of dissatisfaction with the upwards of twenty minutes spread between any spawns, and when they did spawn, they spawned to the point of ridiculous lag.
I was able (barely) to fly from Founders' to Eden and saw literally dozens of Seedlings and Walkers, far more than needed to be there by any measure of the situation, and then the extremely poor decision was made to spawn seedlings in the zone in area of Eden itself (which in turn locked out anyone below level 40). One cannot promote a server event and then overlook such a simple factor and then compound it with spawn rates that were out of proportion to the number of people involved.
I had SG mates that specifically went to Pocket D afterwards to express their displeasure and I was led to believe that they were not alone. And frankly, nor should they be. I got no sense of coherency here; most of the time it appeared Duray was leading the seedlings into the area. If they were trying to aid the Primals, then why were the Walkers attacking them? Apparently the Walkers and seedlings were fighting each other before I logged in and this ceased, which rather defeats any sense of story being built up.
And then...they all pulled back to Atlas Park for a scrap. I was done by that point and moved to a seperate AP instance and waited for it to be over.
Honestly...I'd urge the Devs to seriously think about how they wanted to stage this, and I will single out Zwillinger here as he was the most visible and vocal about it on the Admin broadcasts. This wasn't the way to run the event. Turning off vehicles and civilians as in Rikti/Zombie raids would've helped everyone enormously, as would not just dumping a ridiculous amount of spawns.
This could've been a good point to help further the story on Virtue, but I'd just as soon forget it, thanks.

You realize no matter what could have been done, it would have been laggy no matter what the devs would've done?
Don't get me wrong, I understand what you meant... but if you guys knew you weren't going to like it because of the event, maybe you shouldn't go to the next one. And compared to the ones I've seen years back, this looked loads more organized then the ones in the past.
And seriously, you can't change the way things are spawned. I mean, sorry you had a bad experience but... yeah. What more can you do there?

So how did this go down? Sorry I missed it, I was cleaning the house.
There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.
Bah I missed this with too much on my plate taking place this weekend
Looked like amazing fun.
Could have been better. Could have been a LOT worse.

The Praetorians motives for attacking us were clearly outlined in Admin chat. They were there to clear up the Seedlings...and were going to drop us if we got too close. Duray said it was his problem, and that he wanted to clean it up without our help. To the point of attacking us!
The spawns were frequent for me. I guess you were just unlucky.
Not really disagreeing with you. Just my take on the event.
One thing that bugged me though was Zwillinger. We had Duray basically RPing with us in admin chat progressing the story and all that. Then "NCSOFT_Zwillinger" rolls up. Says something like:
NCSOFT_Zwillinger: Okay heroes & villains! We're Goign to Pocket D! See you there! We'll be handing out Golden Titles to everyone!
NCSOFT_Zwillinger: *going
NCSOFT_Zwillinger: I don't need to know how to spell! I'm invading your planet!

Here's some advice in CR 101: Don't treat the admin channel like a yahoo chatroom. If you are sending out a message to every tab of every player in the game make it short and to the point. The people playing the game aren't your friends. Don't act overly familiar. Don't spam. Don't make jokes. The people playing CoH aren't playing with you. They're playing with each other.
In other words: be professional.
Aye the lag was annoying. This game can't really handle large events of any capacity though. So you have to take that on boards before judging it. Plus this event was largely a stress test...so don't show up to it and expect it to run smoothly. I just took what was given to me and made the most out of it. I would not have stuck with it if I didn't find it amusing.

Gotta say I agree with every word.

I thought Zwillinger was a CS Rep. Being friendly IS part of the job. It wasn't just an RP event, it was for everybody playing. Some of whom like gold titles more than story progression.

Yet again Virtue reminded me why i'm so happy to call it home. The RP Leagues that were set up really made the event that little bit more awesome. Kudos to you Virtue.
Anyone get any screenies?
