Currently Recruiting: We're currently recruiting, although Sector One is regularly hitting the member cap, we do have other sectors open.
RP Level: Non-RP in /sg or in mentality. We've got an RP specific channel we've set up, but I'd warn prospective RPers that we're not at all geared towards RP.
PvP Level: We're casual towards PvP. We sometimes organise fun PvP events in which we'll all form up into groups and completely trash a PvP zone, but we're by no means PvP dedicated.
Theme/Concept: We're one of the few dedicated casual, non-RP SGs on Virtue server. If you like having a laugh, teaming and doing content with mates then you'll probably like the SGF. If you don't take yourself too seriously and just want to find a group of fun people to while away the time with then you'll probably like the SGF. If you enjoy regular teams, farms and non-RP oriented content then you'll probably like the SGF.
Activity: We're often hitting member caps on SGFS1 and we usually have 6 or more unique members on at one time at US prime time. We also have quite a few GMT (British) players in the SG too (myself being one of those!), so we get quite varied playtimes.
Requirements for Membership: Must enjoy a joke or two and be able to thrive in non-RP environments, other than that, none.

THE PARAGONIAN KNIGHTS est. January 2005
The Knights are now looking for brave heroes of all levels, archetypes and experience. We are active in all aspects of the game and have been nominated by the players of City of Heroes across all servers as one of the Favorite Supergroups of 2006! The Knights pride themselves with having a mature and fun group with some of the most accomplished players in the game.
What we have to offer…
- Teaming at all hours: The Knights are lucky to have a extremely large player base of about 100+ players. Within those numbers are players from around the world and many different time zones. This opens up the opportunity for players to find teams at odd times. Not just any team, but highly effective and fun Knight Teams!
- Daily Task/Strike Forces and Trials: The Knights have a great staff of leadership that is constantly checking with the membership to see what special task forces need to be posted on the calendar. It is not unusual on a weekend to see a half dozen or more TFs run in a day. If you need a specific task force it is highly likely it will done. Many of the Knights have done these so many times they can be completed in record time and efficiency.
- Role-Playing: The Knights are in the process of starting back into role-playing with a new group named Young Chivalry. Modeled after such popular groups as Young Justice and the New Mutants, the YC is for young heroes in need of some mentoring and guidance in the ways of heroics. The group is open to all levels, archetypes and backgrounds. We can make it work. The group is led by Pawwn and is presently laying down the foundation for some great, dynamic RP.
- Maximum Efficency, Maximum Fun: The Knights have started up a new group called the Extremists. This group houses all our specialty event characters. Currently we are running a all Plant and/or Poison powerset team but future teams are already in discussion. Event groups meet once a week and play for about 2 hours. Task Forces are scheduled as the team levels up. To join this group you need only be interested in having fun!
- Beyond the Game: The Knights are much more than your average super group, they are a network of people from all walks of life…they are a community. To be a Knight is to be a member of a fellowship of people who carry on a virtual friendship that often times extends beyond the confines of the internet. The Knights have banded together to purchase commissioned artwork and produce in-game movies among other things. Many friendships have been built that will only increase well beyond City of Heroes
How to Apply…
To apply to be a Knight you need to first visit www.paragonianknights.com. Take the time to check out what all the site has to offer. Many of your questions about the Knights can be answered there. After you have decided that you indeed do want to be part of the Knights, click “Join Paragonian Knights” at the top of the screen and answer the couple short questions. This will set you up with a Guild Portal account. Finally, post an application on the forums using the format provided. Be as in-depth as you desire. After that is done one of the officers will post and provide you with contact info..

The Strategic Command Objective for Research, Protection + Interdictive Operations (S.C.O.R.P.I.O.) is an international, extra-governmental intelligence and security organization formed to meet the rising storm of exceptional threats beyond the usual scope of normal law enforcement and military forces. SCORPIO is dedicated to protecting the nations and peoples of Earth from terrorists and all technologically-advanced, extraterrestrial, psionic, superhuman, occult, paranormal and supernatural menaces, and often assists such organizations as Longbow as well as other 'super'hero groups in apprehending threats to national security and world peace.

OOC Details:
We are an establish strongly themed SG with Uniforms. SG Ranks are replaced by divisions and units all agents are broken into.
We currently have two main divisions, Special Operations (Spec-Ops) and Covert Operations (Operatives):
Special Operations -
Spec-Ops agents make up the bulk of SCORPIO personnel. Charged with protecting the world from terrorist and 'extra-human' threats. Spec-Ops Agents are mostly specially-selected agents trained for handling and mitigating meta-human, arcane and extraterrestrial threats, Spec-Ops remains more secretive in it's operations and can be at times somewhat more ruthless in it's field duties. Agents within this division can be either weaponed field agents or Power Armor Agents.
Within Spec-Ops are three specialized Divisions tasked with specific areas of importance. These agents are as skilled as all spec-ops agents but at times can be a bit more rough arounds the edges and take various forms.
+ Psi-Ops Unit: Created to identify and protect telepaths, but also to defend humanity from all threats of a telepathic or other para-psychological nature. All Psi-Ops Agents are themselves endowed with psionic abilities.
+ Arcane-Ops Unit: Tasked with protecting the world from the occult, paranormal and supernatural through research, investigation and intervention. It's ranks maintain the services of noted arcane researchers and specialists, as well as several supernatural persons and entities.
+ Special Agents Unit: A strike force consisting of meta-human (super beings) Agents specializing in the nullification of meta-human menaces, though they have proved invaluable in battle against any type of foe. They are the muscle of SCORPIO.
Covert Operations -
Covert Operations within SCORPIO are a wholly separate operating division, consisting of largely autonomous solo and/or deniable Operatives, along with Special Agents and attachments from other organizations. Operatives primarily work alone or on teams consisting of other SCORPIO Operatives, though they are also utilized within Special Operations field teams as deemed necessary. Covert Operatives report directly to either the Executive Director and/or the Deputy Director, and to the Covert Operations Liason if the directors are unavailable.
Activity: We Currently 15-20 active players spread across timezones from PST-EST peak times are generally evenings and weekends.
Requirements for Membership: Minimum player age is set at 17 due to mature themes.

*Theme/Concept: SG is started by "Buk Nasty", who has been trying to get into Longbow for a couple years and keeps failing out due to his scrapper-lock attitude. Therefore he started this group, to pursue vigilante justice

Requirements for Membership: No requirements initially. As the roster fills there preference will be made for active players. (If you joined, played one day and were inactive for a month, you'll prob get dumped when the roster fills.) SG mode is not required...however, the only way I can easily determine your activity level is by prestige earned. Preference for an active roster is the only decision on who stays/who goes. Coalition(s): We started a coalition with an active SG last night. I have a line on a very quality SG to coalie with (master badge hunters) . I am looking for a group of like minded, vigilante SGs (and or just good quality active SGs) to coalie with.
Other Details: Base is nothing right now. We will be working on this asap. I tend to favor a very efficient "TP base." 2 rooms, all porters in those rooms, aligned by map level. Very easy to get where you need to go. This will take a bit of prestige, of course.

Name: Westbrook Academy For Metahumans
Currently Recruiting: We will be taking applications from November 28th to December 11th. We recruit differently than most groups preferring to get a batch of new members every few months to give them time to get acclimated with the group.
RP Level: We are a medium to heavy RP group. Our SG Channel, team chat and local are all treated as IC space. The only OOC chatter here should be for clarification. We have a separate global channel for OOC communication. In addition to this we have over arcing story arcs. These story arcs are group wide events that effect all characters in the group in some way. We also focus on long term effects and consequences from IC actions. This is not a group to go flying by the seat of your pants but as such becomes a very strong cohesive RP environment.
PvP Level: We have no PVP focus.
Theme/Concept: Westbrook Academy is a private secular high school founded by the late William Westbrook (a former hero who died in the Rikti Invasion). It focuses on the every day lives of teenagers who are dealing with the abilities they have. In addition to all of the normal problems a teenager faces there is also the additional challenges of being a part time licensed hero.
We have a serious RP style which is melded with a traditional comic book world. In a city of heroes, powers are commonplace. The lunch lady might be a mad scientist and the janitor might be an ex super villain. This doesn’t mean that the characters or the stories they have to tell are goofy; in fact, it’s just the opposite. In our world, we take a very realistic approach to our characters and the consequences for their actions. The idea is to create an interesting dichotomy by taking a comic book world seriously. For comic references I recommend “Top 10” or “Astro City.”
Lastly Westbrook is a low powered SG. For the most part we are just teens with powers who patrol. There is no room for demigods, supermen, or otherwise extremely powered individuals in this group as it would break our over-arcing story arcs.
We ask that prospective members read our Roleplay page for a clearer picture of our scope and scale.
Activity: We have a medium sized and very active player base. Prime time for our group is typically between 9:00 PM and 1:00-2:00 AM EST most nights. There will always be at least a few people on during these times but often as many as 15 or 20.
Requirements for Membership: We ask that you sign up on our website. We have a formal process for handling applications which can be found here. Keep in mind that the SG as a whole is low powered and as such your character should be designed to fit. Your character must also be a high-school student.

Currently Recruiting: Sort of. We're mostly taking people from Cordilon (see below) at the moment, but once things there are set up properly we'll be more openly recruiting.

Theme/Concept: Most of us aren't particularly special. Our powers are more low-key, such as Null Sector's machine empathy and cyberspace travel, if they're even present at all. As a result, we tend to focus on more low-key crime, only dealing with larger-scale villains within our individual specializations.
Activity: We're pretty small, and our activity is kind of random due to work, school, and work and school.
Requirements for Membership: You'll need to be on our forums, and we would prefer also being in Skype. Characters must have a relatively clean legal record, as we work directly with the PPD - if they're willing to overlook your past transgressions, though, so are we. Vigilantes are allowed, to a degree, just don't go too far.

Requirements for Membership: Our RP is very varied, but all of our members are required to be profesional. We try to avoid children characters, but some exceptions can be made depending on concept. This is a spy/retcon group for the most part, even though our concepts are rather varied, so we would like to keep the characters involved on the same page and not break our concept.

Other Details: Our base runs like a war base of sorts, we have every portal and advantage of bases available for our members. We usuall like to do improptu events, even if its just base rp or run tips of any kind. Weekends tend to be a bit more busy during the evenings with the eventual WTF runs and similars.

What happens behind closed doors has yet to be discovered.

Currently Recruiting: Since we're a fairly new SG, we're always looking for some good, virtuous heroes to join our ranks. We're really trying to focus on bringing in the classic hero. (Tights/Capes/etc. A good, iconic look really.)

Theme/Concept: "Based on the orbiting space station known as 'The Lambent Dawn', the Global Defense Force is here to protect the world from any beings that seek to do it harm. The Global Defense Force was founded by some of the premier heroes from Paragon City and elsewhere on Earth with the purpose of creating a strong coalition of heroes that would be able to deploy at a moment's notice to any area on the planet that requires their assistance."
Think the Justice League or Avengers: a group of heroes dedicated to protecting the entire planet. One goal is that when we have enough members, we'd like to form separate teams withing the SG. Each team will be tasked with protecting and monitoring specific regions of the planet. For example, one group would be tasked with deploying to urban environments if a situation called for their assistance. Current groups planned at the moment are: Urban/Industrial, Desert, Forest, Jungle, Tundra, Underground, and Oceanic. Each team would have its own inclusive plots and enemies. For interdimensional threats or those from outside Earth, the entire GDF would be brought together.
Activity: We have a pretty good core group of players at the moment but are always looking to expand that. For the most part, people are on everyday; most during the evenings.
Requirements for Membership: Have a character that fits the above and fill out an application on our forums. It helps if you are a good RPer and are an active and committed member of the group. It would also be nice if we could get a couple characters from the regions or characters that have extensive knowledge of the above regions.
