It's me.* I'm back.* Thought you should know.*

So tell me: Did they touch Dark Miasma? Did they touch Rad Blast? Did they touch any of my babies while I was away?

Besides incarnate powers, about which I have read, what has changed with defenders since issue 16? Are Corruptors still better?

I don't remember how long you were away, but they increased the radius of effect of twilight grasp so it heals as big an area as corruptors and defenders now.

I don't even remember that having been an issue >_>

I would've thought that that would be one thing that carried over between archetypes since none of the pseudo-pets were redone.

So really, they didn't touch anything with the power sets. I suppose they wouldn't, seeing how they weren't really broken or anything.

Also, by the looks of it, not many people on this board speak the good word of Fruit Salad any more. It's a shame, really.

certain defensive abilities that took quite a while to distribute to each member of the team (force fields, for example) have been changed to AoE (or is it PBAoE, I forget) abilities for rapid distribution.

No changes to the sets I can think of for Defenders, the Dark Miasma change (Twilight Grasp) was only for Masterminds, which had a different version of the power with a much smaller radius.

As far as the Archetype goes though, they added a damage bonus to Vigilance recently to help soloists (in case you weren't here for that).

It starts off pretty small at low levels then ramps up to 30% at level 20 and above. You lose 10% of that bonus per teammate, so your bonus goes away entirely on a team of 4 or more players.

You'd really think I'd have tested this first hand, given that my namesake character is a bubbler, but I havent. I believe though, that they're Ally Targeted AoEs now, not PBAoEs. Important to note, they still don't buff you.

Defenders are getting fire blast

There was a freakin' awesome bug a while back with one of the incarnate powers -- it adds a DoT to powers. That can stack up to 5 times per mob. That had a chance to go off with /each/ damage tick, including ... ticks from rains and patches.

My traps / dark dropped a pylon in something like 75 seconds.

WOAH, WOAH, WOAH!

A damage bonus in Vigilance? I was NOT here for that. I am tickled pink by that! I love that so much. Now I can maybe feel like I'm not simply left in the dust by my Corruptor.

I've got a Rad/Dark Corr and a Dark/Rad Defender. Both have been at lvl 50 for years, and I basically stopped playing my Defender once my Corr got up there. This might make me feel better about that now.

The solo/small team bonus basically brings Defender damage up to par with Corruptors minus Scourge (assuming SO build).

Figure 1ds is base 55.61damage(or is it 55.62? I can never remember).

Corruptor: 0.75*55.61=41.71damage
Enhanced: 41.71*1.95=81.33damage

Defender: 0.65*55.61=36.15damage
Enhanced: 36.15*1.95=70.49damage
30% Vigilance: 36.15*2.25=81.34damage

Wow, it's a Mr Quizzles! I see a giant monster mushroom coming for you....

Nothing much has changed...Fluffy still isn't perma, and petrifying gaze still sucks.

Vigilance gets a damage bonus which other people have mentioned.
Incarnate powers are yummy.

Hello again Quizzles, I too have returned recently. Besides the general shield buffs being aoe, nothing is really new with Cold for me to update my guide.

Uh, what? PG is still kindof a turd but the Dark Servant is perma now. 240s recharge 240s duration. So I guess there's a couple seconds downtime for the cast if you have absolutely no global recharge or recharge in the power. Fluffy is very definitely perma and has been for a while.

Oh and Corruptors are still totally better at everything ever.

I think they mean perma as in does it act like Controller pets, cast once and it hangs around for ages (9999 seconds is it?).

As mentioned, he means it still has to be recast every 240s (at least) to keep it around. Unlike, say, Controller or Mastermind pets.
