The extra slots is actually pretty easy, it's just updating the Levels.mhd file.

- Menu: Options->Advanced->Database Editor
- Click Main Database Editor
- Click Pools (left hand pane)
- Select the pool you want to modify (middle pane)
- Select the power you want to modify (i.e. the tier 1 pool power you want to set to unlock at 35; right hand pane)
- Click Edit (right hand pane, bottom right)
- Click Power Attributes tab.
- Change the value for Level Available (e.g. to 35)
- Click OK
- Click Save & Close
Should be done. Not sure if there's a faster/easier way to do it (e.g. if you're wanting to mass-change all the pools), or whether there's any quirks or pitfalls to be aware of, but the above worked for me when trying it out on Tanker Arctic Mastery Chillblain.
Or just select the power in e.g. level 41 slot. Then click & drag to 35. Just learned that now, heh

Thank you guys for working so hard and diligently for the community here. It's a very nice gesture by you guys to get this out soon for the community at large to use.
If you guys don't already have high paying technical development jobs, it would be a crying shame if you didn't at least get some new offers. Count me as one who believes Paragon Studios should purchase Mid's or pay you some type of royalty fee for keeping so many of their subscribers around. At this point, even a public acknowledgement would be good.
I mean really, no B.S.- I think in many ways Mid's saved this game and added another end-game activity that is one of the greatest mind and number crunching puzzles one could play attached to an MMO. And I say 'play' because it HAS become part of the meta-game that is City of Heroes.
All the 'Cow/Free Milk' analogies aside- if Paragon/Cryptic has never emailed you guys personally or hooked you up somehow, I'd say they really need to check on their priorities and get their junk straight. I know I'm much more cut throat personally- if I developed Mid's I'd be charging for the download, or selling it to the game developers for big time money to use as an add-on or in-game interface addition.
Just saying- we all appreciate what you guys do, and you definitely should get credit and opportunities where they are deserved.

This is probably a very stupid question, but who/what is "Mids"?
It's an offline program that allows you to make builds for your characters. It also allows you to see the numbers for all your powers--it's great for builds that are 'tight', aka, have a lot of tasty powers you want, or builds that require fancy slotting.
Also great if you do IO builds.

"Mids" (full name: Midnights) was an EU player who originally created the program, "Mids' Hero Designer". Development of the program has since been passed off to the Titan Network, since Mids has left the game.
