Simply a "Hero"...? Boo!!

Archvillains are what they sound like.. but the counterpart is simply "Hero"? Lame! Change it to "Superhero". Surely States needs to have such a title to be on par with Lord Recluse. The "super" modifier is very necessary

Archvillain > Hero
Archvillain = Superhero

Hilariously, in Maria's storyarc where you have to rescue Statesman from Tyrant in the old version, Statesman's class is "Arch-villain".

Even villains are better than heroes.

Don't I know you???

Well we have Arch Villains, so it is only fair that we have Pillar Heroes.

Or maybe Dome Heroes, or Structurally Sound Safe OSHA Compliant Heroes.

This is an exceptionally well-crafted pun. I applaud you.

There's really no reason they couldn't be called Arch-Heroes. The prefix doesn't have an inherently negative connotation, after all.

True, but it doesn't roll off the tongue very well in this case.

Luckily, it only has to roll off the keyboard well. And given that it'll likely get shortened just like its counterpart, it doesn't get a whole lot easier than "AH".

What was that about the Auction House?

I recall Jack being adamant about us not being 'SuperHeroes' and instead just Heroes.

I think his 'vision' was SuperHeroes can't die, therefor we couldn't be Super.

Then again, there is the whole DC™ issue.

That's WW (not to be confused with WW or WWs). It's right next to AE in AP. You might see an EM/EA go there after using MA (don't ask me how they got three primaries) to get to their APP (in AP, no less). Then they may take a tour of SC (not to be confused with SC) and IP (that's PI for the dyslexic). IP is the IP of PS (PS: that's not CS). All of which is in PC in your PC, neither of which is necessarily PC. OK?

I have a hard time believing anyone can patent/trademark the concept of "superhero". Marvel and DC are not the only comic lines that have ever existed with super heroes. I'd say a court challenge could overturn that - just like with that guy who trademarked the word "Edge".

The thing is, rather than just going up against some guy who trademarked a random word, you'd have to go up against the combined might of Time Warner and Disney. It's probably safer and cheaper to bow to their lesser whims and hope that neither of them patents human DNA and starts charging us all for using it.

They didn't trademark the concept just the name.

As a result of this only Marvel and DC can use the name superhero legally.

Bamf and Snikkt are also trademarked by Marvel.

So you're saying MGM had to pay for the right to name there movie this?

If that's true, wouldn't they have just called it SuperDuperHeroTime or something and saved the fee?

Perhaps this is one of those CYA deals, never enforced due to the absurdity of it, but there all the same incase someone starts hurting the reputation.

Well that movie was a parody, and parodies seem to escape most laws
