What was it? [backpiece]
Probably this, from the Steampunk Pack.
"You don't lose levels. You don't have equipment to wear out, repair, or lose, or that anyone can steal from you. About the only thing lighter than debt they could do is have an NPC walk by, point and laugh before you can go to the hospital or base." -Memphis_Bill

The Celestial VIP pack sounds more likely. Now, to find out how I get my hands on THAT. Just saw someone in Atlas with what looked like a rainbow arced behind his head. Hmmmm.

After a little searching around, I am more confused than ever.
Just what we needed, a new currency in the game! [Tiers, points etc.] Outstanding! I hope every issue from now on includes at least one new form of currency, and two or three more would be even better. *headdesk*
Can you imagine HOW confusing this would all be to someone new to the game? Seriously. Back when I was new, I was doing good to get Infamy down pat, lol.
Oh well. I'll get a pencil, paper and a spreadsheet and figure all this out later. Eventually I will get that backpiece. Thanks for replies, all.
Not to add insult to injury and all but...
You do know that the Celestial Armor is time limited. They plan on rotating out the pieces at that tier. So while it is possible it'll come back around eventually, it's still an unknown.
In other words, I wouldn't get overly excited about it just yet.

Also, tiers are not currency.

What is a tier? And how would someone have tier 9?
No one pays attention to me, cause I listen to the voices in my head.

From the Paragon Rewards description page:
The Paragon Rewards program has nine tiers. Each tier has one to seven rewards that can each be unlocked with a Reward Token. If you have earned enough Reward Tokens to completely fill a tier, you unlock the accountwide benefits for that tier. |
"Normal" tier 9: re-claimable rewards like Windfalls, XP Boosters, Enhancement Boosters, Unslotters, etc.
and
Tier 9 VIP: Costume parts and/or other as-yet-unknown single purchase rewards
Currently, the Celestial Armor costume parts and aura is the tier 9 VIP reward.

Basically, in order to get the Celestial set, if you've just started the game, it will take you about three and a half years if you don't buy any PP.
Bad Voodoo by @Beyond Reach. Arc ID #373659. Level 20-24. Mr. Bocor has fallen victim to a group of hooded vigilantes who have been plaguing Port Oakes, interfering with illegal operations and pacifying villain's powers. He demands that revenge is taken on these miscreants and his powers are returned! You look like just the villain for the job. Challenging.

Also, the devs have said those costume options will be rotated back in. I personally would expect them to be there for over 6 months any way.

As a very costume-centric person, perhaps the most notable thing I saw on a recent run through the new tutorial zone was a player-created character who was sporting an ornate silver backpiece of the stand-up-collar type. That thing was BIG. It looked like something a Carnie or a CoT Mage would wear.
When asked, the person wearing it said it was a "backpack." I see nothing like it in the [test] game, what was it that I was seeing? And where do I get one? |

In Beta I'm up to 1 slot in tier 7.
