What will this person get after freedom launches?

A head start?

Since they are making a purchase I think that means they will be a premium account, giving them access to tells and email. I'm also guessing it means they will have 400 paragon points to spend since they will have an active account for one month.
Seems like a perfect opportunity for anyone considering a second free account when Freedom launches to get a Premium account with some goodies for cheap.

I don't have a problem. I can stop any time I want.

Having bought the Going Rogue version 17 days ago, I will be very unhappy if such people also get free VIP and 400 extra starting points in Freedom.
Nice, $2 for a full month of CoH with most of the trimmings. Once I get my current connection issues sorted out I'll definitely create a couple of these.
One question... will this work to upgrade a trial account? I assume it will, but clarifying that could be helpful.

This is the way it works with all current subscriptions. This one is no different. The ONLY thing different about this one is that you can't use it to add the code on to an existing game account, thereby getting a month of paid time for $2.
Note that this does NOT include Going Rogue. Nor does it include any of the extra goodies like the GvE jumpjet, etc.

If someone decides to do this on the 29th, will they have just that day to get a head start, or will their $2 last until Sept. 29th?

Kill 'em all. Let XP sort 'em out.
It's a subscription. They're going to get at least the 400 points for the first month, even if they don't renew the sub after the first month. They will be VIP as long as they continue to subscribe. If they stop subscribing, they will go to premium.

We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.
(If you love this game as much as I do, please read that post.)

Well, is there any point on getting GR at this point anyways? Freedom makes it quite worthless to have, as all VIPs get GR content and even free players no longer have AT per alignment restrictions. Oh, what the hell, anyone can get a CoH retail for like $5 in Amazon anyways. It just bothers me that I paid a fifteen times higher price and I'm getting pretty much the same.

Edit: Also, If I understand correctly (and I'm not 100% sure I do, so take this with a grain of salt), there is no level of Paragon Reward (Veteran) status that gives a Premium player access to Incarnate content. BUT if you purchased Going Rogue, then you will keep Incarnate access as a Premium player.

The GR edition comes with two extra character slot unlocks... This basic one doesn't seem to have that. So, a Prem account that started with the Rogue version ought to be able to have four playable characters all together instead of just two. That's the biggest difference I can see. The ins and outs of who gets access to Praetoria seem complicated, but I suspect they'll have that, too, right out of the gate instead of having to purchase it as an option.
(My own second account, which I plan on letting go Prem, started with a sale copy of the Going Rogue edition.)

There's nothing special about this purchase, other than the fact that it can only be used for a new account. When you buy the game, you get a month of paid time. It doesn't matter what the start date is, the end date is a month later.

Just wondering is all. And yes, that's all highly speculative.

I only ask because the offer ends on a Monday, and Tuesdays are usually roll out days. On the off chance that the 30th just happens to be when Freedom goes live, then someone waiting until the 29th will have nearly a complete month of VIP status.

Unfortunatelly my friends can't buy since NCSOFT don't let people from Brazil to buy their games online (even though recently I bought Going Rogue via ingame pay!!!). Could you please fix this? There isn't a local retail, since LevelUp gave up on this apparently =/
The real question is -- will going rogue go on sale between now and the end of the month?
